* SitcomArchnemesis: Has one with Matt Roscoe, a former member of Crime.net who sold the crew out during the Heat Street mission. After Old Hoxton was arrested, he wound up on the same cellblock with Matt, and took every chance he had to beat the shit out of Matt some more. He even claims the guards must be enjoying the show as much as he was, as they keep putting him on the same cellblock as Matt in spite of all this.

* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Played straight with Wolf, who never reveals his name in PAYDAY media, but subverted with Chains and Hoxton. Their real names are [[spoiler: ''Nicholas'']] and [[spoiler: ''Jim Hoxworth'']], respectively. Dallas only goes by the alias ''Nathan Steele'' in PAYDAY media.

* BloodKnight: His bio claims that he had constantly fought from a very young age, and with damn near everybody, including "[[SiblingRivalry his brothers]], [[BullyHunter bullies]], [[FootballHooligans rival football supporters]], and [[FightClubbing opponents in unlicensed boxing matches]]". This can be evidenced by in-game lines - he sounds his most joyful in the heat of the fight.

* PutOnABus: He's eventually revealed to have been arrested and housed in a Washington D.C. prison in the Payday 2 Christmas Album. [[spoiler: And if his vow to contact Bain is to go by, he'll be coming back with a vengeance sometime in the future.]]
** LeftForDead: [[spoiler:According to the ''Dentist''-Trailer, he got caught in-between the games because the rest of the crew had to leave him behind.]]

* Determinator: Backstabbing asshole or not Matt will only give up his stolen bounty after a long period of being burned alive/asphyxiated. Perhaps out of fear about the crews wrath but he definitely holds out longer then a normal person ever would.

* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Played straight with Wolf and Chains, subverted with Dallas and Hoxton. Their real names (or [[IHaveManyNames Civilian Aliases]]) are ''Nathan Steele'' and [[spoiler: ''Jim Hoxworth'']], respectively.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: He seems to really really dislike the drug trade.

Wolf used to be a law abiding businessman until the economy tanked his business and reduced his source of income to just one client that had cold feet and eventually refused to pay, which caused Wolf's business to shut down and his family going homeless. Wolf eventually snapped from the events and he now takes on multiple personas of criminals from famous films. Wolf's role as the technician of the group is to help keep things running smoothly and make the current job as easy to complete as possible. Deploys
the sentry gun.

* {{Expy}}: Even though the Chains in Payday 2 is different from the Chains in Payday 1, their histories as military men turned mercenaries are pretty much identical - the only way you can tell the two apart is from their voice actors.

* VerbalTic: He has a habit of referring to the crew as "guys", "fellas" or "gentlemen" off-handedly.

!!Gage

You can't exactly buy fully-automatic, high-capacity weapons from just any gun store or gunsmith, and you don't find them lying around on the street. Gage is a bitter and crippled war veteran who provides some of the tools and weapons the gang needs to get the job done, using his contacts and connections within the military. He also occasionally takes 'care' of problems for Bain, using his injury to make victims underestimate him.

* EvilCripple: His wartime injuries have confined him to a wheelchair. [[HandicappedBadass Doesn't stop him from being able to shoot from it though]].

* ProperlyParanoid: In The Dentist trailer, Dallas can be seen looking a bit nervous due to a security camera being in the waiting room and sitting next to a cop. Subverted that the cop and the camera are the least of his worries when the dentist working on Dallas' teeth reveals that he knows who he is and [[AnOfferYouCantRefuse gives him some jobs to do for him]]. Dallas tries to get up from his chair once his identity has been discovered, only for the dentist and his nurse to restrain him.

** [[spoiler: LeftForDead: According to the ''Dentist''-Trailer, he got caught inbetween the games because the rest of the crew had to leave him behind.]]
** TheBusCameBack: Not only will the community able to break him out of prison in an upcoming heist, Crimefest revealed that he will become playable again as well.
