While the other families pressured Cagalli to join the Earth Alliance in ''SEED Destiny'', they were motivated by the fear of Orb being invaded again (which ironically still happens) and being encouraged by the Seirans to do so. But Yuna and his father were motivated by personal gain and having higher prestige and not caring about Orb's ideals or its citizens.
