* InnocentCohabitation: Invoked. To keep from being expelled from school, which would ''literally'' doom him to eternal damnation, the powers that be shipped off Nil to his home, and commanded him to be her caretaker, among other "conditions."

* GenkiGirl: From time to time.

* BuxomIsBetter: As one would expect from a former lingerie model. It's obvious she's where Ash gets it from.

* ToxicFriendInfluence: Feels he was being this for Cassiel, which is why he broke up with her. [[spoiler: Turns out to be inverted when Cassiel makes her appearance, and starts being catty.]]

* {{Determinator}}: When she first got to hell, she built a platform to dig up to try and escape hell. She lost her determination when she wasn't getting anywhere and realized that nobody was trying to stop her. She still shows some Determination in the present, such as continuing to cook with real ingredients despite knowing the outcome will be mush.

* SourSupporter: She's abrasive and incredibly cynical, but confirms seeing "the star" with Aiden and Nil so they stop doubting themselves, and joins their "astronomy club" to try and find some amusement in futility.

* FelonyMisdemeanor: She was sent to hell for eating meat on Friday and coveted her neighbor's ass, as in donkey. Nil points out that those aren't bad things but Eddie, her husband, hand waves it saying "it's complicated".

* HigherUnderstandingThroughDrugs: He is able to give well-rounded thoughts and philosophic talks about life, but he is typically on drugs when giving these thoughts.

* LethalChef: More like mushy and bland chef. Due to her being in the first circle of hell, anything that she makes turns to mush without taste. She tells Nil that while she knows everything turns to mush, she still gets a trill in making it.

* FelonyMisdemeanor: She was sent to hell for eating meat on Friday and coveted her neighbor. Nil points out that those aren't bad things but Eddie, her husband, hand waves it saying "it's complicated".

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: When colored, Emily's hair is depicted as a dark blue. It's unknown whether this is a dye job, her natural color via a small tweak to reality (as in Webcomic/ElGoonishShive), or simply a bit of ArtisticLicense.

* BerserkButton: Don't ever say the name "Emunael" to her. Ramael learned this the hard way.

* MulticoloredHair: The tuft of hair in front is drawn in a different shade than the rest, shown in color pages to be magenta and light blue respectively.

* {{Transgender}}: Ash acts more like a real transgender teenager than most GenderBender {{webcomic}} protagonists. Emily even suggests gender reassignment surgery as an option at one point. The possibility was addressed in Ask Ash, where he is worried that girl!Ash getting gender reassignment surgery prior to Rumisiel fixing everything would result in him retroactively getting gender reassignment surgery after the mistake is corrected. Not to mention F-to-M surgery is pretty damn crappy at this point in time.

* AttractiveBentGender: In full effect, to Ash's constant chagrin. In his/"her" own words, "What I wouldn't have given to be a flat chested no-looker that no one noticed." Not that his developed female body is that surprising given he inherits it from his mother, a former lingerie model.

* GoodPeopleHaveGoodSex: According to Emily, who actually has had sex with Ash, and to Missi's "erotic dreams," Ash is ''very'' good in bed.

* ChildProdigy: Even though she's not old enough to even go to Driver's Ed, she is an excellent amateur mechanic and an expert welder capable of making no-chafe chain shirts from discarded soda can pull-tabs.

Ash's father, the divorced gynecologist. Surprisingly chill about several strangers crashing in his home.

* BadassPacifist: Logan manages to save Ash and Missi from their near rape experience, not by beating the pulp out of the two would be rapists, but by taking a picture and threatening that he'd run and tell the cops if they wouldn't leave... He just moments later reveals to the two his phone battery was dead, and he wasn't all that fast a runner.

* JustInTime: Saved Ash and Missi from a near rape experience.

* CombatPragmatist: The road he challenges Ash to race on? Booby trapped with tire-killing spikes, caltrops, and other nasty things.

* ChivalrousPervert: He has no problems playing eroge (they're Ash's games, so Ash has no problems with that either), reading porn, and once boasted about getting an eyeful of Ash's lower regions when Ash was GoingCommando as an alternative to a particularly uncomfortable thong, and had a high heel break, taking a tumble wearing a very revealing dress. Also, Rummi has stared down the cleavage of women on occasion. Still, Rumisiel magically closes the curtain when Ash and Emily are about to have sex for the first time, to Missi's chagrin, addresses a lingerie clad Marie, Ash's mother, by either looking her in the eyes, or admiring the food she prepared, while [[SourPrude James]], is slack-jawed and nose-bleeding, and genuinely acts like a decent ''human'' being, the majority of the time.

* DespairEventHorizon: Was staring down it while facing the threat of expulsion from school, over a fist fight.

* ReallyGetsAround: Aside from hitting on both Aiden and Nil, they mention having casual sex with a complete stranger as a pick-me-up after a late night looking for the "star" that's been appearing recently.
