* GeniusBonus: Her first name is Italian and she says her grave is now underwater. That possibly makes her a native of Baia, a city that is now submerged in the Gulf of Naples.

* DrivenToSuicide: [[spoiler:Just a few days after returning to school, he decides to throw himself into the Styx, and [[NeverFoundTheBody his body isn't recovered in time]].]]

* {{Adorkable}}: Rumisiel, when he is sober and genuinely trying to help, has a distinct tendency towards Adorkability in social situations.

* ButtMonkey: Ash. So far he's been changed into a girl, shanghaied into several races he'd rather not take part in (often where the odds were artificially inflated against him), and gone through a whole lot of emotional hurt without being able to do much about it. Ash was also threatened none-too-subtly with rape by two men. [[spoiler: And left Little Harry without a diaper for a little too long.]] Even M-Ash had this. The track team gave him hell just because he had the slowest mile-long run time in phys-ed. In the truest sense of AdultsAreUseless, the teachers all turned a blind eye to it, including physical abuse (slapping him on the back of the head every time they lapped him), frequently making it worse by believing BlatantLies and making Ash run extra laps, enduring for over two years, until he snapped and trashed the track with his car... and then the teachers and principal punished him for it.

* HatesBeingTouched: Due to major body disphoria. It's so bad, Ash thinks a ''massage'' is stressful. in fact, a massage at a beauty salon triggered a FreakOut. Come December 22, 2015, and Ash's phobia has reached levels usually indicative of long-term abuse.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Combined with DickDastardlyStopsToCheat. He's spent so much time and energy sabotaging "his" road, that he never bothered to do the proper maintenance to keep it driveable, so when he tries to muscle Ash off the road, despite having a good chance of winning honestly, he hits a ditch, at a high rate of speed, and flips his own car.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:He was once a hot-headed sort that committed some amount of devestation and likely murder over what he deemed to be insufficient respect from humans. He was punished for the indiscretion, but details have yet to be forthcoming.]]

Rumisiel's ex, who has taken some time off to pop down and see how he's doing with his punishment. But not in a good way; things apparently went south between the two, and she seems quite eager to make sure his sojourn to Earth becomes a bit more permanent. She's also {{Satan}}'s neice.

* CharacterDevelopment: Early on, she was a foil to Rumisiel and Ash. Trying to break up their relationship. Later on, [[spoiler: she calls out Vashiel for disliking her originally just due to being {{Satan}}'s neice, even though she never met him. Showing that she is much more than a foil and has feelings. She forms friendships with people at the high school. She also helps out Emily and Ash get into Heaven, and gets stab by Xaphrael while trying to help Vashiel, something that would be out of character for her in the early run of the comic.]]

* SerialEscalation: Doubles as a FatalFlaw. Rumisiel, of all people, points out that's her biggest problem in the latest update. When the highschool staff finds out a way to drain the makeshift aquarium "prank" she used to block a hallway, she comes back saying that ''next time'' she'll use sharks. Even though the prank was supposed to be a one-time deal, and was universally praised by the senior class.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Consider that he chose to be lenient with Rumisiel for [[spoiler: eliminating the body of a dead Archon - despite it being crucial evidence for a case being investigated - because Rumisiel's motive was well-intentioned defence of his brother.]]
* TreacherousAdvisor: [[spoiler: He is the one who has been killing the angels and also hired Adam. He wants the keys so he can get rid of the filing system.]]

* HornedHumanoid: Has horns on her head, but she is ''not'' a demon. In fact, the denizens of neither Heaven nor Hell can tell exactly ''what'' she is, and she was apparently born of some kind of fatal system error.

** She does this again when talking to Sidney about her type of man, even though it was clear she didn't want to. She said that Grecko, a muscle bound demon, would be her type along with being "on top and in charge". What does Sidney do? He talks to Grecko and Grecko is trilled that she thought about him that way, even "bringing the whips and chains".
* EverythingIsRacist: Frequently has to deal with this when the devils in her class say it's FantasticRacism to point out that yes, rebelling against God, and trying to drag humanity to damnation is a bad thing.

* WeUsedToBeFriends: Combined with TheFirstCutIsTheDeepest. With the Succubus/Incubus Sydney. She was, and still is, deeply sexually attracted to the hermaphroditic demon, but Sydney ''is not'', and never was, attracted to her. Carly believes Sydney just pretended to be, to use her as a bridge to get at her brother Aiden, to whom the demon ''is attracted'', but Aiden does not share the sentiment. [[RashomonStyle Sydney's version of events is a tad different]].

A succubus/incubus who is Aiden's best friend.

* NobleDemon: Certainly claims to be, when protesting Abigail and Carly's portrayal of demons. And he (or she) can be heroic at times, such as when fishing Nil out of the River Styx.

* TheTease: Not interested in Carly, but pretended to be in order to get closer to Aiden. Still messes with her occasionally in the present.

* {{Determinator}}: Mentioned to be one in the past. When she first got to hell, she built a platform to dig up to try and escape hell. She lost her determination when she wasn't getting anywhere and realized that nobody was trying to stop her.

* FelonyMisdemeanor: He was sent to hell, not of his drug use, but because he never obeyed stop signs or traffic lights.

Sharon's father, and the one who first pulled Nil out of the Styx. He's not actually the ferryman from Greek mythology; he's just the only person in the First Ring of Hell with a functional boat.

* TheLostLenore: Sharon speculates that, aside from the privacy, her father spends so much time on his boat to stay near the same waters that claimed his wife.

* RevealingCoverup: Is encouraged by other members of the school staff to dismiss recent sightings of "a star" as nonsense. But Lucrezia was once part of a group that was dissuaded from trying to dig out of hell when nobody bothered to stop them; ergo, if the school ''is'' stopping belief in something, it must be important.

* InsistentTerminology: She and Aiden are "twins" because their birthdays are hours apart and they were born in the same year. Which is to say, Aiden was born on January 1, and Carly was born just hours short of a full year later, on December 31. She freely admits that she would not make this argument if she were the older one.

Another student in Aiden and Carly's class. She is friends with Carly, joining her in sneaking to the janitor's office to get unregulated meals from the head custodian.

* WeUsedToBeFriends: Combined with TheFirstCutIsTheDeepest. With the Succubus/Incubus Sydney. She was, and still is, deeply sexually attracted to the hermaphroditic demon, but Sydney ''is not'', and never was, attracted to her, but pretended to be, just to use her as a bridge to get at her brother Aiden, to whom the demon ''is attracted'', but Aiden does not share the sentiment.

* NoodleIncident: The reason he got "suspended" was a fight with a guy named Maynard. It was no simple fight, however. The two of them were tearing at each other like rabid animals. Aiden refuses to elaborate.

* HeelRealization: While not a villain perse Emily has historically had issues truly grasping how bad the titular Misfile has affected Ash mentally and emotionally and in some cases dismissed Ash's feelings of wrongness in "her" current situation. Until she finds herself having to explain to her mother that [[http://www.misfile.com/misfile/2015-11-05 it's important to her that she not pretend to be something she isn't.]] [[http://www.misfile.com/misfile/2015-11-06 To her credit she picks up on it almost immediately after being in the same situation.]]

* AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents: Ash's father Dr. Edward Upton is a gynecologist who "never forgets a vagina" (and isn't at all shy about talking about them--see UltimateJobSecurity below) while Ash's mom Marie is a former lingerie model who has appeared in her fair share of racy catalogs. Ash notes that trying on bras would be awkward enough even if there wasn't a [[http://www.misfile.com/index.php?page=601 large poster of his topless mother hanging in the fitting room.]]

* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: Prepares breakfast for Ash, Emily, Rummisiel, and James wearing lingerie. She's also featured prominently in racy catalogs and markets feminine undergarments in a very risque manner.

* LastNameBasis: Her first name has not been stated.

* HalfIdenticalTwins: She's female, while Ash is male, and they have the same birthdate.
* HappilyMarried: Married to James, and it's a perfect match.
* OppositeSexClone: Though she's not aware of it. She exists because Rummi went through the trouble of photocopying Ash's file, scratched out all references to "boy," which is what his bosses would have done to Ash's file, and put her in the "girl" cabinet, so all of Ash's hard work would not be erased by a CosmicRetcon.
* StealingTheCredit: By her very existence, all of Ash's previous accomplishments are credited to her. Ash doesn't care, because he gets to enjoy his reward.
