* AdaptationalVillainy: Like other of Max's rogues on the reboot, Extroyer became a full-fledged villain unlike his classic counterpart who started out as merely a cocky rival of Max that was driven insane by Morphosos and eventually [[spoiler:redeems himself on ''Toxic Legion'']].

A monster originally designed by N-Tek to defeat Makino, but once they realized he was just too powerful, they decided to cancel it. In the future, nonetheless, Miles Dread, Max's arch-nemesis, creates Morphos using his DNA, but the monster ultimately rebels against his own creator and now he constantly tries to prove that he is the most powerful villain that ever existed. He debuted in Dawn of Morphos.

* BadassBoast: Morphos would constantly flaunt about how he managed to surpass the desing of his creator and how he is much better than the other villains.

* BlobMonster: Morphos briefly becomes this after he absorbs the security device. He later on reforms himself and goes back to his regular, humanoid form.

* {{Expy}}: Of Frankenstein, though the series openly acknowledge this. Morphos is brought under similar circumstances and is made out of parts of different monsters into a hideous abomination made with the sole purpose of destroying Max Steel. The hero even refers to him as "Stitchenstein", directly referencing the creature. The producers also play with the concept, as, while Frankenstein was rejected by society due to his appearance, Morphos quickly gains the admiration of Copper Canyon citizens and later on becomes their ''mayor''.

* HybridMonster: Morphos is effectively this due to the fact that he is made out of parts of other monsters. His final form in Maximum Morphos invokes this, as it is an amalgation of all the powers that he had previously absorbed.
* ImplacableMan: His second fight against Max counts as this. He gives Max a beating, reletlessly fighting against him and not giving the boy a break.
* ShapeShifting: More of a PartialTransformation. Morphos has a long tentacle on his chest that when "bites" his foes, he instantly copies their powers. His arms and legs change into that of the oponent that he copied.
* LightningCanDoAnything: He is brought to life by Dread using lightning rays.
* GoneHorriblyWrong: [[spoiler: Morphos was solely created by Dread to have revenge on Max Steel and nothing else; in fact Dread planned to outright kill him after he had accomplished his goal. However, his security device fails and Morphos returns, now being able to fuse two powers at the same time or more. Not only he manages to frame Max Steel, he mutates the entire city into hideous creatures like him, which forces Max to team-up with his rogues to stop Morphos.]]

* TrashTalk: Morphos does this with Max's villains while beating them. He is aware of Extroyer's origins at the hands of Dread and uses this to tease him, considers Toxzon as "impurity" and thinks that the Elementors are wasting their powers.

A [[MadScientist former scientist]] with a great fear of death, Mortum seeked Connect-Tek, a device capable of creating everything he could ever think of. [[spoiler: Thanks to Max, the device is damaged and Connect-Tek explodes on Mortum's face and transforms him into a terryfing techno-zombie with a hunger for brainwaves.]]

* ArcVillain: Mortum only appears during Team Turbo and Team Turbo Fusion-Tek. Yet he does not appear in the next films, he does make a cameo appearance on Turbo-Charged.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: His last form has a large sphere on Mortum's abdomen, which, needless to say, is his weak spot.

* AwesomeButImpractical: His last form invokes this. While Mortum's size grows considerably (being his largest and strongest mode), he has a giant sphere of energy on his abdomen that is is weak spot, which pretty much screams "hit here!".

* [[spoiler:CreateYourOwnVillain: By the end of Team Turbo, Max attempts to defeat Mortum while he was teleporting, but he only slices the side of the Connect-Tek, which results in a massive explosion that "kills" Mortum. However, this has no relevance in the story, as Mortum doesn't talks about it or simply don't mind, as he wanted to evolve himself and he could consider his mutation as an evolution.]]

* EvilUncle: Mortum and his nephew used to be very close before and they even used to work together, until Mortum became insane. He started to fear him and refers to him as "Master Mortum". In the end of Team Turbo, his nephew says he was worried, but he coldly ignores him. [[spoiler: In the next film, Mortum attempts to transform his own nephew into a zombie and disturbingly refers to his brain as a 'dessert'.]]

* GodhoodSeeker: Mortum wanted to become a god prior to his mutation by directly connecting the Connect-Tek onto his brain. [[spoiler: This does happen, but with a slight change: the Connect-Tek ''becomes'' Mortum's brain, which results in catastrophic events, as foreshadowed by a hologram of Jim in the past film.]]

* LaughablyEvil: In few occasions, Mortum shows his twisted sense of humor.
* IKnowYourTrueName: [[spoiler: After dissecting Steel, Mortum spents hours studying information of Max and his friends, including their secret identity.]]
* ImmortalitySeeker: The main reason why Mortum became a villain. He didn't accepted the natural fact that he was a human and attempted to find ways to become immortal, which led to the events of the Team Turbo film.
* NightmareFuel: In the end of the Team Turbo film, when the Connect-Tek is overloading on Mortum, his bones are partially shown while he screams in pain and agony. Mortum's mutant form also features this. For instance, he wasn't only killed by the Connect-Tek, but the device itself gets stuck on his skull. He also seems to be more focused on his goal and doesn't shows any compassion or empathy towards anyone at the point of almost converting his own nephew (apparently being his favorite prior to his insanity state and mutation) into a mindless zombie. His modes' designs also have a macabre tone to them and they are mostly based on creepy animals, such as centipedes, scorpions, bats, spiders and others more.

* PainfulTransformation: Played straight with Mortum's transformation by the end of Team Turbo.

* ZombieApocalypse: [[spoiler: Returning as a robot zombie, Mortum spreads his techno-virus over the entire earth at some point, thus transforming everyone into zombies like him.]]

* AdaptationalBadass: Makino's original counterpart was a mediocre reporter prior to his mutation who was completely self-absorbed, arrogant and wanted nothing but fame and people's approval and in general was much less impressive than the rest of Max's RoguesGallery. In the reboot, he is a galactic conqueror and argubly the worst villain that Max has ever faced, almost killing him in the occasions that they met and came really close in devouring Earth if wasn't for Max, Ven Ghan and N-Tek's efforts.
* TheAssimilator: His powers consist in absorbing parts of technlogic devices on his body. He also uses his Alphalink to absorb planets and his Ultralinks are capable of linking with anything and enhance their abilities by assimilation.
* BadBoss: [[AbusiveDad Makino abuses his Ultralinks "children"]]. In "The Wrath of Makino", he proposes a competition where the remaining Ultralinks on Earth would obtain his head piece and become the new commander of the Ultralinks. After he finds his host ([[spoiler: Maxwell]]), he says he is glad that he didn't linked with any of his weak minions and then releases a shockwave that tosses them away.
* BigBad: The supreme leader of Ultralinks, TheManBehindTheMan to most of villains in the show (especially Dredd), and his universal annihilation reign drives the entire plot of the series.
* BloodKnight: Loves to circumvent and eradicate worlds across the cosmos almost as much as he enjoys battling worthy adversaries. In Makino Strikes Part One, he confesses how much he loves to torture his prey before crusing them.

* FlatCharacter: The only reason why Makino was created in first place was to absorb and expand but he does have a personality albeit not a very complex one.

* HordeOfAlienLocusts: How he has decimated countless galaxies across the cosmos, by branching out and seeding worlds with his Link brethren to cyberformically host their indigenous lifeforms and other resources to pave the way for his arrival to their sector in the universe before swarming and consuming them, species and all.

* {{Metamorphosis}}: Of an odd sort, unlike others of his kind their creator assimilates alternate elements from his surrounding into himself to bestow new powers and features onto himself, he can do this with his own Alpha-Link in order to strengthen himself growing ins size and power if need be.
* PlanetEater: In truth unlike all other Ultra or Mega-Links, Makino is and isn't of a linked individual, for his personal link is connected to his much, much larger Alpha-Link. A Jovian class planetary body of shape shifting Ultralink and Mega-Link spawning extraterrestrial predator that [[PunctuatedForEmphasis Links With Entire PLANETS!]] Makino's main body is the sentient expression of this astrological horror with which he uses to "Absorb and Expand!!" by literally linking and consume the worlds he and his conquer.
* PuppeteerParasite: The original mecha leech of his entire race. Effectively speaking this is what attributes to his conquest of countless alien planets and cultures from all across the universe turning everything and everyone into his [[ZombieApocalypse obedient minions]] once they've been Linked.
* PromotionToOpeningTitles: Makino in the second season opening, as he appears commanding an army of villains including Toxzon, Extroyer, Jason, Dread and other recurrent villains of the season.
* SlasherSmile: Has been on the end of these since his first introduction to Earth, portraying a rather sadistic glee to when he was throttling Max Steel the entire way of their first fight.

* TeethClenchedTeamwork: His alliance with Dread can be described as this. Neither trust the other but they need each other to destroy Max Steel and N-Tek. They both know and understand that the alliance ends and they will turn on each other when that happens.

* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: In "The Wrath of Makino", Makino's past is revealed. [[spoiler: He was created to absorb and expand, and upon he realized his immense power, he bonded with his own creator and killed his assistant and started to build his empire.]]

* ZergRush: Since he can always spawn more Ultralinks which effectively do not tire, falter, quit and can constantly play musical chairs with who and what they link too due in part to being that the Alpha-Link can and is always in the process of creating and programming more and more of them with every passing second, he can restock his armies to easily swarm over designated worlds he comes to without much loss on his end.

* AmbiguouslyEvil: While it is clear they are the villains of the show, their level of villainy is somewhat questionable. Particularly with the Water Elementor who [[LivingBattery despite his methods]], only wanted to return to his homeworld. As of ''The Truth Hurts'' they lose the ambiguous part, though the full extent of their motives remains a mystery. And as of Earth Under Siege, they drop the ambiguity all together.

Steel's evil clone created by Makino to upload a reprogrammation virus on Steel, thus forcing him to be evil.

* AllThereInTheManual: Ven-Ghan's backstory never was told in the second season and it was only revealed on a webpage on Cartoon Network months prior to the release of the second season.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: After the events of "Final Countdown Part Two", Ven Ghan wasn't seen again nor mentioned by any character. His last appearance (but non-canon) was in the mini episode "The Captive".
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:He first appears trying to capture Steel for his crimes, but eventually understands that Max and him are fighting in the same same side and decide to team-up with him and N-Tek to stop Makino once for all.]]

* ItsPersonal: A long while back, Ven Ghan snubbed him on a bounty once, He took rather personally and has had a knife aimed at his former pupil ever since.

The leader of the enigmatic Nexus legion. He plans on deprive humanity's acess to technology, so he would force them to join his society.

A highly influent member of the Nexus organization and the founder of the Halifax Industries. He led a project to exploit Max's Turbo Energy's real potential, which eventually led to the creation of the Terror Energy. He debuted on Turbo-Charged.

* AdaptedOut: Terrorax is the rebooted version of Psycho (or heavily inspired by him), who had a key role on Max Steel's origins on the classic series. He was completely absent from the reboot (albeit Dread replaces him as Max's arch-nemesis in the new series) until the 2017 films, in which he is the one responsible for the origins of Max's new green Turbo powers.
* ArcVillain: Terrorax appears as the main villain of Turbo-Charged and Turbo-Warriors.
* AchillesHeel: His weak point is Max's green T.U.R.B.O. Energy, [[spoiler: which he ironically forced the hero to create.]]

* BlackShirt: Terrorax was extremely loyal to Nexus and wanted to serve him by any means. Following his crushing defeat on "Turbo-Charged", Terrorax returns and obssesed to satisfy Nexus, and [[spoiler: this obsession eventually leads to his death]].
* BreakThemByTalking: Max does this to Terrorax in their last battle by the end of Turbo-Charged. Terrorax was so desperate that he started to shake while trying to retaliate Max's arguments.
* CaptainObviousReveal: At some point on Turbo-Charged, Prometheus puts his mask on and he is revealed to be the one who stole Max's Turbo Energy in the beginning of the film.
* ColdBloodedTorture: He does this with Max in the beginning of "Turbo-Charged". Besides permanently unlinking Steel from him, he makes the hero generate so much energy that he unloks a new variation of his power. After Terrorax obtains the T.U.R.B.O. Energy examples from Max, he commands the Nexus agents to electrocute Max's friends, just to see the demise of their friend and leader.

* DeathByIrony/HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler: Terrorax dies by falling in a green T.U.R.B.O. energy current. Ironically, he forced Max to create this energy, so he pretty much died in the hands of his own creation.]]

* EvilLaugh: He does this when he is activating Team Terror.

* FamilyUnfriendlyDeath: [[spoiler: In the end of Turbo-Warriors, Terrorax burns to ashes while screaming.]]
* FangsAreEvil: Terrorax's mouth is full of pointy teeths. His toy form ([[NightmareFuel resembling a cross between a clown, gargoyle and a demon]]) has its mouth full of fangs.

* KicktheDog: Briefly seen by the end of Turbo-Warriors. After fighting for a while against Max, Terrorax confesses that his powers were incredible and attempts to make him see the world dominated by Nexus. In this vision, the world fell on anarchy and chaos, Team Turbo were killed (they also shown their dead bodies and they were presumably killed by Max), and Max, Terrorax, and lord Nexus rulling the humanity with few Nexus agents gloryfing them. Not mentioning Terrorax's evil laugh when the aforementioned trio is shown.

* ObviouslyEvil: In his first appearance, Prometheus wears a mask resembling a demon with a permanent evil grim. Not mentioning his attire with dark colors. And later on, when Max and Alex invades his building, he is with a smirk on his face and saying that he knew that Max was there all along.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Terrorax shows various similiarities with Miles Dread, as he is voiced by the same person, is a billionaire, is obsessed over Max's Turbo Energy, and used it for evil purposes.
* SlasherSmile: His toy form invokes this, as he has a permanent evil grim (which resembles his classic counterpart). Originally, Terrorax's model would be always smiling.

* TheManBehindTheMan: To Nexus. He is firstly presented as the main antagonist of Turbo-Charged before Max and his team discover that Nexus is the man behind the Nexus legion.

* WasOnceAMan: He injects Terror Energy into himself and transforms into a monster. First character of the show to deliberately cause his own mutation too.
* WouldHitAGirl: At some point in Turbo-Charged, Terrorax violently grabs Tempestra and squeeze her until she transforms back to her Turbo Base Mode and finally tosses her like a ragdoll.

* AdaptationalCurves: Night Howl's animated counterpart has a more slightly muscular build compared to his toy line counteraprt, while Snare looks bigger unlike his animated version who is very thin.
* AdorableEvilMinions: The creatures that Monstro expels are cute rather than terryfing, yet appearances may deceive: they kill people by eating them alive.
* AIIsACrapshoot: Snare. He turned against his own creator and killed him. [[GoneHorriblyRight Ironically though, he was created to find multiple methods to execute the human race, and since he executed his own creator, it surely worked]].

* KilledOffForReal: The entire team is individually taken down by Max and La Fiera in Turbo-Warriors.
* KillerRobot: Snare, the evil counterpart of Tempestra, is a robot programmed with more than six million ways of exterminating the human life and stated that no one ever managed to escape from his cold hands, even his creator.

* ThePsychoRangers: They are the oppose of Team Turbo. Night Howl is La Fiera's evil counterpart, Snare is Tempestra's evil counterpart and Monstro is C.Y.T.R.O.'s evil counterpart.
* MeaningfulName: Night Howl's name makes an allusion to the fact that he is a wolf, whom are animals that emit howls and have night habits. Monstro was only nicknamed by Terrorax, as the word "monstro" is the only word he can say. Snare's name makes an allusion to his traps that he uses to execute his victims.

* ToylessToylineCharacter: Monstro, likely due to his proportions, remained as a character exclusive for the animation.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: Night Howl and Snare's designs are much different than their animated counterpart, especially with the latter, whom looks like a completely new character.
