A self-proclaimed "evil genius", he is arrested for illegal genetic experimentation and now serves time in a cell within the Turo Prison Block. He tricks Terra into breaking him out but turns on him when Experiment 626 doesn't act on his destructive programming.

* AdaptationalVillainy: Sort of: he ''was'' originally a villain in his own series, but very few of his evil activities are ever seen as the film begins shortly before his HeelFaceTurn. The events of ''Birth by Sleep'', however, take place entirely before ''Lilo & Stitch'', leaving him in a strictly villainous role within its context.

* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: While not ''quite'' as pathetic as Pete, he's still arguably the least evil and menacing of the Disney villains thus far. The fact that he ends up pulling a HeelFaceTurn in [[Franchise/LiloAndStitch his original continuity]] may have something to do with this.

One of Dr. Jumba's [[Characters/LiloAndStitchExperiments genetic experiments]], with the primary function to short out electrical devices. Jumba summons him to attack Terra after seeing how Experiment 626 was "negatively" affected by learning about the concept of friendship.

* AdaptationInducedPlotHole: Jumba did not have direct access to the other experiments until shortly before ''Stitch! The Movie'' when he was already exiled to Earth, but here he pulls both Sparky's experiment pod and a flask of water to activate it from his person during the time he and Terra are trying to escape, which raises the question of why he does not simply activate 221 and use his electricity powers to escape earlier.

* ShockAndAwe: He wields/becomes electricity.
* SlasherSmile: His wide mouth and big yet humanoid-looking teeth give him an unsettling grin that's fitting for an alien designed for destructive purposes.

* OptionalBoss: He and Sark can be passed over to go straight to [[TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon The World That Never Was]], which will always be available before the return to Space Paranoids.

* AIIsACrapshoot: Subverted like in the film. CLU is still following his programming to try to create the perfect system. The problem is that Flynn made him when he was more naïve, and before he discovered the [=ISOs=], so CLU's plan is equally naïve. Therefore, CLU never changed; Flynn did.

* GoneHorriblyRight: Flynn built him as help to create the "perfect system" around the time of the inception of the Grid itself. The only good thing that can be said about the result is that [[{{Dystopia}} it did work.]]

* RingsOfDeath: Like all programs, he wields an Identity Disk. He uses his disk in an attempt to kill Sora for redeeming Tron.

* TheUnfought: Justified, considering the source material. CLU can NoSell a direct disc hit, and even the game implies that only Flynn can defeat him within the Grid, while Sam can simply delete him in the real world. Therefore, it's highly probable that neither Sora nor Riku would be even able to scratch him. Ultimately, Flynn does CLU in by absorbing him at the end of Riku's Story Arc.

* DecompositeCharacter: It is stated that Rinzler and the Tron that Sora knows from ''Kingdom Hearts II'' are not the same person, since the Grid is the original computer system that Space Paranoids was copied from. In a CallBack to previous instances of this happening in ''II'' and ''Coded'', Rinzler's heart is implied to be entangled with that of the Tron from Space Paranoids, allowing Sora to try and influence him through their connection.

* FightingYourFriend: Downplayed. This version of Tron is not the same one Sora is familiar with, who is actually an outdated copy of him. However, that hardly matters to Sora, because Tron is Tron in any world.

He comes across as more of a CardCarryingVillain than he already was in the films.

* EvilIsPetty: Killing Will just to break Elizabeth and Jack's hearts was already terrible and petty enough, but his AdaptationalJerkass tendencies mean that in doing so, he's doing so purely to spite Sora who tried to lecture him about love.

* TheHeavy: Though he's still under the command of Beckett as in the film, ''III'' significantly reduces the screentime of Beckett, leaving Jones to serve as the more prominent Disney Villain of the world.

* TeleportSpam: He frequently teleports during his boss fight, being able to travel through his ships parts. One of his trickier attacks is teleporting up from behind to give you a kick with his peg leg.

* WrongContextMagic: The Seekers were keeping an eye on Jones and the Dead Man's Chest because they're fascinated by how he can still exist with his heart separated from his body. Except inside the chest is Jones's ''literal organ'' and not the series' standard metaphysical heart. When Vexen sees this he decides that he's been wasting his time and leaves the Caribbean world annoyed.

* AdaptationalBadass: The Kraken was already huge in the films, but here it's ''significantly'' bigger, taking up the entire maelstrom with just its' tentacles.

* TheDreaded: As Tia Dalma makes plain, the Kraken has a fearsome reputation due to being an impossibly huge monster at the command of a sadistic madman like Jones. Donald and Goofy quickly become afraid of it, though Sora less so.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The Kraken is last seen attacking Will Turner. Afterwards, Davy Jones's death plays out exactly as it does in the movie while the Kraken never appears again.

* AdaptationalDumbass: His film counterpart ordered Jones to kill the Kraken, perfectly aware of how bad of an idea it was to leave such a powerful monster at the command of someone who ''really'' didn't want to serve him. In the ''Kingdom Hearts'' universe, he seems confined to Symphony of Sorcery and actually ended up on the receiving end of the Heartless invasion's conquest.

* MadeOfEvil: To the point he was going to be the GreaterScopeVillain and FinalBoss of the first game, and the embodiment of the darkness Sora fought in that game. The fact that Bald Mountain is co-opted into being the last gate before the entrance to the Realm of Darkness where Ansem is waiting for the player should show you just how evil he is.

* VillainSong: Music/NightOnBaldMountain, originally composed by Modest Mussorgsky. Notable for being one of only two Disney bosses to get his own theme in the series (the other being Rinzler). He did not have it in the Japanese version of ''Kingdom Hearts'' though, but he does have it in both versions of ''Dream Drop Distance''. After ''Kingdom Hearts'' featured a synthesized arrangement of the piece, ''Dream Drop Distance'' features an arrangement more faithful to Mussorgsky's work, and this arrangement is carried over to the ''1.5'' version of ''Final Mix''.
* TheVoiceless: He doesn't speak despite a few other Disney media appearances having him speak, only making animalistic roars.

* DeathByAdaptation: In the original movie, aside from having her ego wounded after her daughters failed to fit the glass slipper while Cinderella fits the glass slipper on her foot, nothing bad ever happens to her. In ''Birth by Sleep'', she gets blown up by the Cursed Coach. Though since Aqua pointed out that "the darkness in their hearts overtook them", Tremaine probably suffered a FateWorseThanDeath.

Maleficent's original henchmen who worked for her in the Enchanted Dominion. They were strange imps and goblin-like creatures armed with medieval weaponry, doing their mistresses work and guarding her castle from intruders. Terra never encounters them, but they are the main threat for Aqua and Ventus when they enter the Forbidden mountain's castle. They are not seen after Maleficent leaves Enchanted Dominion.

* AbusiveParents: Or at least an abusive version of TheCaretaker for Quasimodo.

* DirtyCoward: In Riku's story, Quasimodo mentions the Archdeacon is away from Paris at the moment. This means Frollo's reign of terror is going completely behind the Archdeacon's back, making it even more despicable since at least in the original film he had the bearings to do it around the Archdeacon.

* StatusEffects: If he grabs you, prepare to be [[HumiliationConga ravaged by almost every negative status effect in the game]]. Going in without Blindness Block at the bare minimum is unwise.
* ShoutOut: His Grab has him use his breath to inflict status effects on the player. It's essentially Kingdom Hearts' version of the move Bad Breath, notoriously used by Malboro and with similar properties.

A gigantic whale, big enough to be considered a world, and big enough to eat ships whole, including Gummi ships. When his world was destroyed by the Heartless, Monstro managed to escape and was cast into the Ocean Between, swimming endlessly and preying on those traveling through it.

* AdaptationalHeroism: An incredible SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome involving the character occurs in ''Dream Drop Distance''. Right from the start of his battle with the FinalBoss of Prankster's Paradise, Sora struggles to contend with the Chill Clawbster as he is unable to fly at that point, making it difficult for him to get within range of the creature to strike it effectively. Then, to the surprise of many, Monstro shows up to ''help Sora out'' and stays by the young Keyblader's side until the battle is over. Considering that he was frozen solid by the Chill Clawbster beforehand, this could also count as both an example of TheDogBitesBack and EnemyMine.

* HarmlessFreezing: The Chill Clawbster froze him solid, but once Sora breaks him out, he's completely unharmed (other than having to sneeze after the boss battle ends).

* OptionalBoss: An optional boss fight in ''Birth by Sleep: Final Mix'' that can be fought in the Mirage Arena.

* BossAlteringConsequence: She gives you a chance to collect evidence to prove Alice's innocence. However, being the loony tyrant that she is, she adds her own "evidence" and forces you to choose randomly from one of the five boxes which evidence you'll submit. If you choose the wrong box, she'll lock up either Donald or Goofy, making her boss battle a little harder.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Often, she's the definition of {{Jerkass}}, running a KangarooCourt where slights are given harsh punishments. She seems like a prime candidate for being turned into a Heartless because of it, but once things become really serious (after the Keyhole in Hollow Bastion releases stronger Heartless across all the worlds), she is revealed to be protecting her world from the Heartless because she actually has a ''really'' strong heart.

* NecessarilyEvil: A bit of an overstatement, but Young Xehanort and Eraqus' investigations into her in ''Dark Road'' reveals her impulsive Darkness is actually what provides Wonderland some sense of stability. It goes a long way to explaining why she seemed to be such a high priority target for the Heartless, how she understands Hearts in Kingdom Hearts' greater context, and how she cares for and protects her subjects when things become serious.

* PerpetualFrowner: Often frowning by default, ''Days'' in particular only ever has her use an angry talk sprite despite the existence of unused smiling talk sprites in the game's data. Justified to an extent, in that he is already short tempered, and Kingdom Hearts series events often only put/show her in situations that would do nothing but upset her (her pastime of croquet, when she's at her happiest in her film, is omitted, as the biggest example).

* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: Though "good man" may not be the right term to refer to Luxord (at least at the time), she nonetheless falls for him after he chivalrously displays sympathy and kindness towards her by building her a new castle made of cards after Roxas and Luxord had destroyed her previous one as part of a mission. She even remarks upon what a gentleman he is after he departs.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: ''Dark Road'' reveals that while she is confined to Wonderland, her Darkness creates its order, this was an observation of Young Xehanort that helped him understand that Darkness could not only be handled, but that it has the capacity to do good and maintain stability.
* WhenSheSmiles: A variation, in the ''Days'' manga. When she gets an enamored moment after being comforted and helped by Luxord, she's drawn in a softer style that makes her surprisingly cute. A far cry from her typical anger and annoyance.
