God. YISUN may or may not actually exist, but it doesn't matter much as they committed holy suicide to create/become the cosmos. They are talked about extensively in the Liturgy, usually involving their apocryphal interactions with Un-Hansa, the God of Cynics.
----
* DeadpanSnarker: In legends, they're often this, subtly mocking people like Ogam.
* NonLinearCharacter: YISUN exists outside causality -- or, more accurately, causality is an illusion perpetuated by YISUN's holy suicide. Certainly in liturgy, YISUN has no problem appearing in the universe that they killed themselves to create.

[[quoteright:183:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aesma.jpg]]

Also known as Aesma, she is the Goddess of aspiration, greed and self-sufficiency, and the creator of humanity. She is one of YISUN's disciples and the focus of numerous stories drawn from the scripture and mythic history of the setting.
----
* AchievementsInIgnorance: How she defeated the masters of Space, Ethics and Aesthetics -- she was too impatient to listen to their teachings, too ignorant to understand their value and too violent to allow [[BeyondTheImpossible silly things like physical possibility get in her way]].
* BeyondTheImpossible: Many of her feats. At the end of ''Aesma and the Red-Eyed King'', she defeats the titular king by ''picking up the multiverse itself'' and threatening to beat him to death with it. This is after hitting him with the battlefield, the moon, several stars, and a ''black hole''.
* BloodKnight: One of the qualities YISUN liked most about her was her penchant for violence and destruction.
* TheBrute: A subversion- her willful ignorance and tendency to react with violence is supposed to be one of her ''positive'' qualities.
* GodIsDead: Like most of the other gods. On the [[http://killsixbilliondemons.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Thronerevisited.jpg map of Throne]], "Aesma's Spine" is a minor landmark.
* HumiliationConga: [[InvertedTrope Inverted]] in the tale of Aesma and the Three Masters -- it's the Three Masters, not Aesma, that are on the receiving end of one of these, although Aesma herself [[AchievementsInIgnorance has no idea that she did it]].
* InterpretativeCharacter : According to [[http://killsixbilliondemons.tumblr.com/post/144961898765/are-the-warrior-hermits-who-worship-aesma-distinct word of god]], her worshippers have drastically differing interpretations of what her stories mean.
* TheMaker: Of humanity... which was actually a shoddy, talentless rush-job of Aesma's, created out of sheer jealousy for the praise the Multiplicity's regular creator-god, Koss, was getting. It's for this reason that humans in the KSBD setting can't reincarnate upon death, unlike Koss's creations such as Servants and Angels.
* SociopathicHero: If not a VillainProtagonist within her own story.
* TheUnfettered: What she ''wants'', she ''takes''; this unrelenting drive leads YISUN to declare her the greatest of their disciples.
* UnholyMatrimony: In ''Aesma and the Red-Eyed King'', the priests convince her to seek a husband. This turns out to be a mistake when she turns around and releases a giant world-destroying demon in order to marry him.

A swordswoman of incomparable skill, Meti wrote one of the most famous manuals on swordsmanship, which declared that the sword was an ugly piece of metal and its adherents idiots and attempted to convince the reader to take up farming instead. ----
* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: Her training consisted of three years of following a "strict vegetarian regimen, and harsh training of barefoot sprints (five) between cities, squats and breathing exercises (two bells), and sword drills and resistance training (three bells)." This made her powerful enough to fight ten thousand men at once. While naked.
* CombatBreakdown: Her first serious fight (against the Colossus of Pardos) lasted half a day, during which she says that "my sword was shattered into thirty pieces, my right leg was almost torn from its socket, and my honed body was broken pathetically in a hundred and forty places." [[{{Determinator}} She won anyway]]. With her thumbs.
* TheCynic: She thinks everyone is an idiot and that swordsmanship (which she devoted her life to) is worthless. She even lives in a barrel in the marketplace, a reference to [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diogenes one of the original cynics]].
* CynicalMentor: To Maya. WordOfGod is that Maya's philosophies are mostly a result of her contentious relationship with Meti.
* DeathSeeker: After concluding that swords are worthless and everyone around her is an idiot.
* LadyLooksLikeADude: She says that she was frequently mistaken for a man, so she took to letting her hair down and unbinding her breasts.

* MasterSwordsman: She was nearly unbeatable by the time she was sixteen.

->''"Heads. Yes, the beast has seven. Slay it, kingling, free us all! You are my redeemer! [...] Quick Alice. The Sovereign. Alice. '''Kill Six Billion Demons'''."''

A legendary hero, first of the Demiurges and the original conqueror of Throne. Once he discovered that the gods were long dead, Zoss' first act was to claim dominion over the multiverse by defeating the Prime Angels, last attendants of the gods' reign. As more Demiurges found their way to Throne from their own universes, Zoss became their king and ruled Throne in a golden age of enlightenment and philosophy. As the reign of the Demiurges eventually descended into madness and brutal civil war, Zoss abandoned his kingship and disappeared, although the Seven believe that he still survives.
----
* AccidentalMisnaming: [[spoiler:He calls Allison "Alice", which, as she says, is not ''quite'' her name. His confusion may be because UN is one of the names of the first-divided god and therefore a common prefix and suffix in the setting, leading him to believe she is Alice-Un.]]

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: He claimed the universe itself by right of conquest after personally stealing a fragment of the divine song, cutting his way into Heaven, and laying waste to the last attendants of the gods. In setting, he's officially considered the King of the second era of Throne, a title which puts him on a level equivalent with the creator of the multiverse.
* TheAtoner: He sought to appoint an heir to fix his past mistakes, and asks Allison to be his redeemer.
* AwesomeMcCoolname: The Conquering King, who claimed the throne of god and the universe itself by right of conquest.

* GodEmperor: Like all the demiurges, but he was a king even among kings and the first PhysicalGod to claim that status.
* HolyHalo: He has a bright white halo floating above his head. Noticeably, it merely represents his power; it doesn't mean he's a good person.

* AristocratsAreEvil: Although covered by the veneer of legitimacy afforded by marriage, it's implied quite heavily that Hastet was essentially a prolific serial rapist, whose appetites only became more depraved as time went on.

* PredecessorVillain: Without Hastet Om, there would have been no Mottom, for better or worse. [[spoiler:And without Hastet's fruit, Mottom could not sustain her eternal youth.]]
* RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: Subverted. Hastet Om is far from the only person in the multiverse to engage in sexual slavery, or to force beautiful women to become his wives. Hell, in Throne, all women are assumed to be a man's property by default. However, [[EvenEvilHasStandards even by the standards of Throne]], his treatment of his wives was considered ghastly, eventually resulting in [[spoiler:Nadia murdering him]].
* RoyalHarem: Even by the standards of Throne, his appetite for women was rather extraordinary, causing him to take countless wives. [[spoiler:And his desire for women did not end with his death, as he feeds upon them constantly in his current form as the Tree of Woe.]]

Allison's boyfriend, kidnapped by strange monsters that appeared in Allison's bedroom.
----
* TheChosenOne: Supposedly chosen to be the successor to the Conquering King Zoss, who in turn was the successor of YISUN. [[spoiler:Zoss himself implies Allison was always his choice of heir.]]
* DistressedDude: Kidnapped and held unconscious by the Seven. After her initial, forced trip to Throne, Allison returns to attempt to rescue him.
* {{Jerkass}}: Allison's friends definitely think so. The story opens with him pressuring Allison into having sex, even when she's clearly uncomfortable, and Allison herself admits he's kind of a creep later on.
** His only other dialogue outside of the opening is a small cameo of a text sent to Allison, also pressuring her to have sex.

* SupremeChef: Announces she's going to cook Allison food, and later tells her that they aren't "white-girl tacos".
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Dyes her hair bluish-purple.
