* EvilSorceress: Maia's original character concept described her as the sorceress to her brother's sage, and assigned her explicit responsibility for the creation of their Lurker army. It further characterised her as a VainSorceress who maintains her youth with dark eco, and a MadOrcacle who dances herself into trances and prophesies the future [[DemonicPossession in a voice not her own]], but neither of these quirks are alluded to in the game proper.

* CoolGuns: Has his own little high-tech [[EnergyWeapon laser pistol]]. He's... not such a good shot.

* ForcedTransformation: [[spoiler: She didn't ask to be turned into an ottsel, only offhandedly wished to have a pair of pants like Daxter's, but the Precursor Leader got a little... "[[JerkassGenie creative]]" in granting it. She seems to be perfectly okay with it, since now she and Daxter aren't dealing with the species/size differences, anymore.]]

* AxCrazy: A disturbing sociopathic variant given he wants to [[spoiler: torture jak forever]].

* IconicItem: In every game, no matter what costume he's wearing, Jak ''always'' retains his [[GogglesDoNothing goggles]] and a steel ring around his chest, held in place by leather straps.

* LikeASonToMe: At first, Damas did not see Jak as anything more but a potential soldier in his ranks. As time went on,however, he began to feel pride in him no different to what a father would for his son. He even accidentally slips his pride as well. When Jak finally earns his rights to be a Wastelander, Damas personally gave him a rare armor artifact that belonged to Mar, wishing to have given it to his own son, but feels Jak is in need of it more. [[spoiler:It made the revalation of them actually being father and son all the more tragic upon Damas' death, and he never found out either.]]

Yes, as it turns out, the ancient galaxy spanning-race responsible for the creation of Jak's world is indeed a bunch of Ottsel-Like characters who greatly exxagerated their appearance. They are the only precursors who appear in the flesh (and not as spirits or idols), as they reside within the Planetary Defense core and prepare it to destroy the Dark Maker ship which looms over the planet. Besides all that, don't judge their size, as they still are the most powerful beings on the planet.

This wise old man is a member of the Underground and guardian of The Kid. He is very knowledgeable in regards to Metal Heads.

* EvilBrit: He speaks with a distinct Cockney accent, and he's a sleazy crime lord.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: For someone as greedy and despicable as Krew is, he surprisingly took his death very well, he didn't begged to be saved or cried in his final moments, he just accepted it nonchalantly and stood there as he blew up. Hell, in ''Jak X'', he even mentions the fact that since their watching his video, he's already dead, and he's so nonchalant about. Seems like death was never a fear of his.

* GreaterScopeVillain: It was because of Jak's association with Krew that made the people blame him for the Metal Heads getting into the city.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler:Remember the gun and the upgrades that Krew gave to Jak throughout the game? Jake uses them against him and his holograms in the BossBattle.]]

* WorthyOpponent: Despite how much he dislikes Jak, he can't help but admit when he's been outshine by him and give credit where is due.

* SingleTargetSexuality: Aside from that brief fling Ashlin was giving him in ''Jak 3'', Jak has only shown interest in Keira, being both protecting and caring towards her more than any other character.

* GoodWingsEvilWings: He has glowing tentacle energy wings in Light form.

* LightIsGood: Light Jak, which uses Light Eco.

* KillerRabbit: Daxter can kick some serious ass when he needs to. He even has floppy ears like a bunny!

* LovableSexManiac: Hits on or flirts with pretty much every woman he meets. Even in the the first game there's cut dialogue of him calling Kiera a "sweet lookin' babe."

* BoobsOfSteel: Is the most capable of the female cast in a fight, and the bustiest of the girls in the series.

* MsFanservice: Between her bare midriff, [[BoobsOfSteel impressive bust]], exposed thighs and obvious thong strings visible above her beltline, Ashelin is absolutely unchallenged as the sexiest girl in the series.

* DemotedToExtra: In ''Jak 3'', [[spoiler:even with his prior death.]]

* SoundOnlyDeath: [[spoiler:Lives long enough to scream over the radio to Jak who the real BigBad is, before the Metal Heads cut him off permanently.]]

* {{Expy}}: In ''II'' at least, Jak's personality is clearly taking a few pointers from [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Cloud Strife]]. Both are cold, emotionally distant badass punks with superhuman abilities who started off as nice people but gradually fall into a DarkAndTroubledPast (though Jak got a far more raw deal in comparison considering he unwittingly turned his entire world upside down) as a result of exposure to a planetary substance (Mako in Cloud's case, Dark Eco in Jak's case), both of which were a result of experiments performed on them by the very evil corporation they're fighting against. The two even have unintentional similarities in their appearance (both having AnimeHair and asymmetrical shoulder armor) due to the games {{Steampunk}} and {{Cyberpunk}} aesthetics.

* EmoTeen: He becomes this in ''II'', due to being tortured and imprisonment for two years. He grows out of this in Jak 3.
