* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler:Tym was responsible for the development of the Eco-Chair that was used to pump Jak full of Dark Eco during his two years in prison. The fact that Jak DIDN'T rip him to tiny pieces like he tried to do with Errol and Praxis was VERY surprising.]]

* {{Expy}}: In ''II'' at least, Jak's personality is clearly taking a few pointers from [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Cloud Strife]]. Both are cold, emotionally distant badass punks with superhuman abilities who started off as nice people but gradually fall into a DarkAndTroubledPast (though Jak got a far more raw deal in comparison considering he unwittingly turned his entire world upside down) as a result of exposure to a planetary substance (Mako in Cloud's case, Dark Eco in Jak's case), both of which were a result of experiments performed on them by the very evil corporation they're fighting against. The two even have unintentional similarities in their appearance (both having AnimeHair and asymmetrical shoulder armor) due to the games' {{Steampunk}} and {{Cyberpunk}} aesthetics.

** He's an orange animal creature with fingerless gloves in a Naughty Dog game. He's basically VideoGame/CrashBandicoot if he could talk.
** He's also one to Zini from ''WesternAnimation/{{Dinosaur}}'', whome Casella previously voiced. Both are self-percieved ladies' men and provide comedy relief.

* {{Expy}}: Fitting as Jak is an Expy of [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Cloud Strife]], she shares resemblances in personality and role in the series with both of Cloud's love interests: [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Tifa Lockhart]] & [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Aerith Gainsborough]].
** Collectively, they are all part of a LoveTriangle who serve as a [[BroodingBoyGentleGirl confidant for the angsty main protagonist.]]
** With Tifa, she shares the role of being the [[ChildhoodFriendRomance childhood friend]] of the main hero. Both also had mainly [[OneOfTheBoys male friends]] as a child.

Let's see....ginger hair, half a face that is metal, robotic voice, is a now a cyborg due to a serious accident and has gone rather crazy due to head trauma from the accident? Yep he's basically [[VideoGame/CrashBandicoot Doctor N. Gin]] minus the missile and if N. Gin went absolutely batshit insane to that he wanted to destroy the world.
** Possibly an expy of Dr. Nefarious from ''VideoGame/RatchetAndClank'', given they were both "Human" turned into completely unhinged monsters.

* VillainousGlutton: Being a Jabba expy, he's a crime lord whose overindulgence has led to him being unable to move on his own weight.

They both are revolved around a LoveTriangle between them and another woman interested in their respective LoveInterest but end up as the FirstGirlWins and get together with them in the end.
