* DyingRace: [[spoiler:In Issue 66, it is revealed that the Viltrumites are driven to near extinction by a biological weapon developed by the Coalition of Planets, the Scourge virus. Many perished or temporarily deprived of their superhuman powers, rendering the loss of 99% of their population and leaving less than fifty full-blooded Viltrumites. As a result, bans on crossbreeding with other conquered races were lifted to replenish their numbers with mixed results. Nolan's original mission to Earth was to turn it into a breeding camp after learning that human DNA is almost compatible with Viltrumites.]]
* EmotionSuppression: It's clear that the Viltrumites potentially have as expansive an emotional range as humans do, but they suppress any feelings like pity, mercy, or empathy. This is intentional, to make their atrocities more bearable and as a self-defense mechanism lest their peers turn on them for displaying "weakness". Epitomized by Thragg, who literally has to have the feeling of love explained to him by his underlings.

He’s also willing to listen to a lesser being, as long as said lesser being gives out good advice. * SocialDarwinist: He is the pinnacle of his cultures beliefs in this. With him believing that only the strongest of the Viltrumites can rule, unaware that the ruler he succeeded was revered for his leadership rather than strength. With his inability to accept this being the greatest motivator for him to betray his own race.

!'''Viltrumites'''

[[folder:In General]]
!!In General

A super-powered race of former pacifists who went through a massive cultural shift, resulting in a civil war that saw most of their population dead and only the strong and vicious alive, who would then become a race of genocidal space conquerors. Tremendously feared and hated across the universe for causing billions of deaths and countless atrocities with their wars of conquest.
----
* AchillesHeel: Have a handful that they took great pains to eradicate from the universe. The only one they can’t circumvent is that their hearing is highly vulnerable to sonic attacks, being debilitated if not killed by them due to how their flight power works, which operate on a internal equilibrium so complex and efficient it doesn’t take much to ruin it when you got the right frequencies.
* AllThereInTheManual: The reason why Viltrum and Human genes are such a great match, beyond viltrumite DNA being immensively adaptive, is not explained in the comic proper; [[spoiler:in the guidebook Kirkman alludes to Humanity and Viltrum having a common ancestor in an ancient alien race]].
* BadassMustache: Their culture seems to favor mustaches as the standard fashion for all Viltrumite males, the ones that do not have mustaches are glaring exceptions. [[spoiler: When Mark becomes the emperor by the end of the series he actually needs to justify why he prefers to go clean shaven, reasoning that the era of pacific Viltrumites goes in hand with a clean shaven emperor, as the previous war monger emperor Thragg had the most impressive mustache of all]].
* TheBerserker: When Anissa first tries to reason with Mark to make him accept the presence of Viltrumites on Earth, she says Viltrumites and humans aren't that culturally different at the end of the day, but she does come clean about the fact Viltrumites are much more prone to anger and desire for conflict than a regular human would, labeling her own race as being inherently built to desire combat. That’s how easy it was for them to round up the more peaceful Viltrumites and kill them off during their civil war.
* DominantSpeciesGenes: While they can interbreed with a wide variety of species, their features are dominant. This is naturally imperceptible with humans, but hybrids with an InsectoidAlien only have purple skin to show their mixed heritage, and even that fades as they age to a color within the average human range.
* TheEmpire: The Viltrum Empire.
* FlyingBrick: An entire race of them with such potency they became galactic scourges that conquered thousands of worlds with next to no equal. The exact scale of their powers isn’t consistent, as it takes till their twenties for their powers reach their peak, with many of them still being leagues weaker others... but often still light years stronger, faster, and tougher than 99% of the entire universe.
* HumanAlien: Are near identical to humans on a genetic and superficial level, with the only real differences you’d notice on a physical level being that all Viltrumites have shades of black hair until they reach old age and have naturally muscular body structures. In terms of psychology they are this as well, with any differences being mostly cultural, leaving the one real difference between them and humans: a greater sense of aggression and violence.
* HybridPower: Viltrumites can create offspring with many other alien species as their genes are extremely adaptive. Depending on the parent species, some hybrids (like Mark) can grow to become as powerful as a full-blooded Viltrumite or in the case of Terra (who has her mom's powers along with Mark's), potentially even stronger.
* LoveRedeems: [[spoiler:Their later efforts to blend in human society manages to change the once vicious conquerors into empathic people by finding human partners who showed them what real love is; Lucan even tells Thragg there’s something more to how humanity form couples compared to the Viltrumite way. It’s the perfect foundation for Mark to successfully make the Viltrumite race into a peaceful empire once he becomes their emperor]].
* MightMakesRight: They are so firm believers of this ideal that when the likes of Lucan and Kregg first fight against Mark, they don’t care about Mark being clearly against everything Viltrum stands for, they only saw the fact Mark was actually strong enough to survive their combined assault so in their minds Mark proved himself as a viltrumite, regardless of him not caring about any of that; in their eyes Mark would follow their rule given time, or die resisting.
* ProudWarriorRace: Very much so. They venerate and love violence, having a incredibly engrained capacity for it on a genetic level that steered them to completely rebuild their society into one of conquest and violence. Many can overcome this urge with age and positive feedback, but the itch always exists and next to no examples exist of them not relishing combat and bloodshed on some level.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Pure-blooded Viltrumites and half-human hybrids can live for thousands of years and not look it at all.
* SocialDarwinist: Built an entire culture around this mindset that saw most of their weaker and peace loving counterparts dead (which was most of their race). They venerate strength and purity, seeing any weakness or betrayal of their new culture as grounds for immediate execution no matter who or how young they may be (with Viltrumites even getting medals for killing the weak). With those considered “worthy” of being a Viltrumites being measured by their strength and capacity for violence, the greater the capacity the greater the station. However, this is not a species mindset, as their general psychology is next to identical to a humans (with just a lot more built in aggression and Violence), so any of them can be broken of this given enough time and exposure to outside influences.
* TechnologyUplift: Standard procedure for any race they conquer and the justification they use to paint their centuries of conquest in a better light for themselves and prospect targets. To their credit they do their best to help create a paradise for those who go along with their takeovers willingly till they strip the planet bare...but utterly decimate and commit near planetary genocide on those who evenly slightly resist.
* VestigialEmpire: [[spoiler:The Viltrum Empire is in a very weakened state as 99% of their population were killed off by the Scourge virus. The Viltrumites covered up the deaths caused by the virus and keep up empty threats to the Coalition of Planets.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Viltrumites like Anissa and Nolan claimed that planets would be turned into utopias under Viltrumite rule. While it's true on their part until they stripped the planets' resources bare as mentioned above, others like Conquest relished in violent annexation for their enjoyment.

[[folder:Grand Regent Thragg]]
!!Thragg

[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_473.png]]

Grand Regent of the Viltrumites, Thragg was trained from birth to be the strongest among them.
----
* AbusiveParent: He uses them as cannon fodder -- sometimes quite literally throwing them at Mark. This comes back to bite him in the ass. When it becomes clear that Mark (the enemy) cares more about Thragg's kids than he does, the kids quickly turn their backs on their father.
* TheAce: A villainous example. Thragg is the strongest Viltrumite in the entire series, trained from birth to be the strongest of all. He's so strong he can fight several Rognarrs by himself and win without trouble. To explain, Rognarrs are one of the few creatures in the universe that can injure and kill Viltrumites. The only ones that can even near his level of strength are Nolan and Mark.
* ArchEnemy: To both Invincible and Omni-Man.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Was raised to meet this expectation. He is easily the Viltrumites greatest fighter, and his position reflects his power is that he is TheDreaded to everyone.
* BadBoss: In contrast to TheGoodKing Omni-Man and Invincible, he has no tolerance for failure and little patience for those who don't commit to their assignments.
* BeastOfBattle: In the final battle, he enters the fray with two Ragnorrs as bodyguards.
* BerserkerTears: [[spoiler: Briefly, when Viltrum is destroyed.]]
* BigBad: Of the entire series.
* ChildSoldiers: Raised his half-Thraxan children as this and was one himself, being born and bred to be the strongest Viltrumite their race had ever seen.
* DeadpanSnarker: Serious most of the time, but Thragg admits he has a sense of humor when "[[SingleStrokeBattle fighting]]" Oliver.
-->'''Thragg''': Stop me if you heard this one (''Maims Oliver with one punch'') Seemed like such a nice boy.
* TheDreaded: All of the remaining Viltrumites are terrified of Thragg with even the battle-hungry Conquest cowering in fear in front of him, while Omni-Man himself is terrified of Thragg and cautiously warns his son Mark against facing him. He swiftly lives up to the reputation once he starts fighting. The fact he even managed [[spoiler: to kill Battle Beast made him even more feared through the verse.]]
* EnemyMine: Is willing to team up with Mark or Nolan to prevent the end of the Viltrumite race.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Despite being an insane and genocidal warmonger, he loved Viltrum and his people and believed the only way for them to survive was under his rule. [[spoiler:He also loved his twin children, Onaan and Ursaal. He was outraged and nearly killed Mark when he killed Onaan and threw his corpse at him, and he hugged Ursaal when she mourned his death.]]
* EvilIsPetty: And how. [[spoiler:After being removed from his status as Regent due to Nolan's more legitimate claim, he has started a war against his own people with an army of children he sired. When Mark finds out the reason, he thinks Thragg is pathetic and alone.]]
* {{Expy}}: Of Superman villain General Zod.
* EyeScream: Suffers this during his battle with Battle Beast.
* FamousLastWords: [[spoiler:"The only thing you need to know is that you cannot be allowed to live. You were destined to die from the moment you were... Oh, Hell--"]]
* FreddieMercopy: He's basically what '80s Freddie Mercury would look like if he took steroids.
* HeroKiller: [[spoiler: He has killed Thadeus, Battle Beast, Oliver, and finally Nolan by the end of the story. He would have also killed Mark were it not for Eve's powers kicking in.]]
* HurlItIntoTheSun: [[spoiler:Mark hurls himself and Thragg into the sun to render Thragg vulnerable. Robot sending one of his suits to protect Mark grants him a few crucial seconds of protection from the searing heat that Thragg lacks (which neatly illustrates the difference between them -- Mark's enemy is willing to help him while Thragg is alone). After Mark finishes the battle by tearing out Thragg's throat with his teeth, the dying Thragg sinks helplessly into the sun and burns up into nothing.]]
* ItsAllAboutMe: At his core, he wants to be the leader of the Viltrumites, and if he's not ([[spoiler:which happens]]), he calls UngratefulBastard on all of them and tries to destroy all of them despite his supposed dedication to preserving their race and culture.
* KickTheDog: [[spoiler: Simply killing Battle Beast wasn't enough; he skins his hide and ''wears it as a cape'' like some sick form of trophy.]]
* LackOfEmpathy: Perhaps his greatest flaw besides his self-centeredness is his complete lack of empathy for others. His little understanding or care for other people's feelings lead him to underestimate them and fail in his objectives each time.
* MotiveDecay: He went from wanting to conquer other planets, and protect his people regardless of the cost. To wanting revenge on Mark, everyone he loves, and the Viltrumites, the same people he wanted to rule over and was committed to preserving.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: He's pretty blatantly based on Freddie Mercury.
* NemeanSkinning: [[spoiler:Takes to wearing Battle Beast's pelt as a regal cape after their battle.]]
* TheParagon: In order to be made Regent, Thragg was trained from birth, tempered to be the strongest of the Viltrumites and educated in all manners of combat, being a paragon of the social Darwinist mindset of his people.
* PragmaticVillainy: Although he is still a PsychopathicManChild at his most reasonable, he did listen to Omni-Man and Invincible warnings on how to proceed in day to day life on Earth. He’s also willing to listen to a lesser being, as long as said lesser being gives out good advice. Make no mistake Thragg cares for no one but himself, but who will he have to rule over if he doesn't abide by native customs, nor have any competent servants who know what they will do if he blunders?
* PsychopathicManChild: After being overthrown, Thragg is really nothing more than a pathetic overgrown child throwing a genocidal temper tantrum over not getting what he wants.
* ReallyGetsAround: After getting exiled from Earth and its moon, Thragg makes himself at home on Thraxa, siring dozens if not hundreds of children. [[spoiler:Actually around a thousand or more.]]
* RevengeBeforeReason: The whole point of his war on his ''own people''! He essentially abandoned his commitment to saving his race and culture no matter the costs in favor of killing them all out of spite.
* StrongAndSkilled: He is not only physically stronger than just about all Viltrumites, he's easily one of their most skilled, being a master of combat with next to no equal.
* TrueFinalBoss: [[spoiler:He is the last significant antagonist of the series next to Robot. After he's killed, things mellow out.]]
* VillainHasAPoint: [[spoiler:After watching Viltrum get destroyed, a heartbroken and enraged Thragg beats Mark to a pulp while raging that what Invincible and the other Viltrumite traitors have done is worse than anything Thragg and his followers have done. How much of a point he has depends on whether you consider destroying someone's planet worse than being the overlord of an expansionist space empire that routinely engages in mass murder.]]
* WorldsStrongestMan: The strongest Viltrumite, and far out of most characters' league. Omni-Man admits that him and Invincible combined against him is a HopelessBossFight.
* WouldHurtAChild: With gusto. He maimed the teenage Oliver with the intent to kill and Thragg's first act after raising his army was attacking Mark and trying to crush little Terra's skull like a grape.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Conquest]]
!!Conquest
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_503.jpeg]]

Second strongest of the Viltrumites. He is sent to Earth to check on Mark's progress of conquering the Earth.
----
* BloodKnight: He doesn't care about expanding the Viltrumite Empire, he just wants to fight and relishes any chance to do so unlike other Viltrumites.
-->"The truth is, I want you (Mark) to resist. I'm not here because I want to spread the Viltrum Empire. I'm not here because I believe in one cause or the other, or that I'm fulfilling some kind of honorable duty. I'm here because I '''enjoy''' this."
* TheBrute: Thragg made it abundantly clear that his raison d’etre is to fight and kill any threats to the Viltrumites. Thus he serves as the strongest guard dog the Viltrumites have, and typically acts as an expendable brute.
* EvilOldFolks: He's a legendary fighter among the Viltrumites, and because Viltrumites age slower the older they get, the amount of battles he must have been in is terrifying.
* ImAHumanitarian: He seems to relish the idea of eating his dead foes. He threatens to eat Oliver and Mark's hearts once their fight is over, and he licks Eve's blood off his fingers, commenting that he finds it "Delicious."
* ImplacableMan: Easily one of Invincible's most powerful foes and seen as virtually unstoppable, unless the most brutal and primal fighting methods are used against him.
* OldSoldier: Similar to Thaedus he is very old, and a soldier. Though the similarities stop there.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Thragg.
* VillainRespect: Develops it towards Mark, regarding his combat prowess -- though mostly because he likes a good challenge.
* WouldHurtAChild: Is more than eager to try and murder Oliver.

[[folder:Anissa]]
!!Anissa
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_98325.jpeg]]

Anissa is a female Viltrumite warrior and among the last remaining survivors.
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: She became more interested in Mark after [[spoiler:raping him]]. He, by contrast, hates being around her. She eventually gets over it when she falls in love with a human.
* TheAtoner: While she doesn't regret [[spoiler:raping Mark]] since it gave her her son, she is clearly sorry about it and is willing to die to save his wife and make up for what she did.
* BerserkButton: All Viltrumites are quick to turn violent. Something they struggle with and she admitted that she's killed for things less than taunting her.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Oh, so very much and she seems to enjoy it. She acted all nice and helpful in hopes of seducing Mark. When Mark rejects her, she [[spoiler:rapes him]]. When Mark attacks the drone Rex sent to negotiate with the Viltrumite, she pretended to help him up only for him to slap her hand in anger, but her only reaction is to smile. A day later, when Mark is on the Viltrumite warship she sees him and casually greets him and his anger gets the better of him and he grabs her by the throat, shouting at her to "back off". However, she only revealed how much she is enjoying his anger and aggression to the point where she wants to speed up their "next meeting". The shocked Mark let her go and she smiles as Mark denies anything that his father need to know about what happened.
* BoobsOfSteel: One of most powerful female characters in the comic, and the one with the largest and prominent bust.
* BloodKnight: She is shown to consider the fact that she must fight after failing to convince others with her thoughts to be lucky for her. Also, before she [[spoiler:raped]] Mark who tried to make her leave him alone only for her to enjoy the conflict.
* DarkActionGirl: She is super strong, fast, ruthless, cruel and will not hesitate before she kills her enemies. She softens after the TimeSkip, thanks to her MoralityPet.
* DefrostingIceQueen: Nolan tells Mark that she's become a much kinder person while he was missing. Obviously Mark is skeptical since [[spoiler:[[RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil she raped him]]]]. Peculiarly, it turns out to be true ([[spoiler:their son]] was an effective MoralityPet), and she eventually dies saving Eve.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: It isn't until the implication she's done something to Mark that she realized [[spoiler:raping]] the son of her leader, who is clearly more powerful than she is, was never a good idea. Cue NeckLift by an enraged PapaWolf.
* DiesWideOpen: [[spoiler:The reason why nobody realized she was dead right away was because her eyes were still open]].
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: After five years she has a husband, a daughter by him, and son [[spoiler:by Mark due to her raping him five years ago]], all of whom she loves very much.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: She tried to convince Mark to accept the Viltrumite ways first and fought him after he refused. Later, Conquest mentions that she would try to convince others unlike him, which mean she is known to try to convince others with the ways of her people instead of fighting first.
* EvilCounterpart: Anissa to Eve. Both of them are after the same guy. However, Eve, who had some problems with Mark leaving for a long time, along with carrying their unborn child in her womb and believing he was dead, was willing to avoid the use of her superpowers to preserve the life of her the baby and sought to bring it into a world free of super-powered violence. Anissa, who fought against Mark before, wants to ensure that she can carry out her mission to birth children in order to save the Viltrumite species, rebuild the empire and doesn't care what Mark wants, and is the opposite sort of mother-to-be: actively embracing aggression and force to ensure the birth of a child to the point of [[spoiler:raping]] Mark after seeing that the "Human's way" of seducing Mark didn't work. Also, Eve gave birth to a daughter, Terra while Anissa [[spoiler:had a boy whom she calls Marky]].
* HeroicSacrifice: Pulls one to try and protect [[spoiler:Mark]] towards the end of the series, whilst [[spoiler:defending Earth]].
* InLoveWithYourCarnage: She enjoys Mark's aggression toward her after she [[spoiler:raped]] him as seen when he grabbed her by the throat. All to the point of admitting that it made her want to speed up their "next meeting".
* InterplayOfSexAndViolence: Disturbingly [[InvokedTrope Invoked]] by Anissa after her attempts to seduce Mark using the "earth ways" failed. She resorts to using the physical Viltrumite method [[spoiler: which is rape]].
* {{Irony}}: Big-time.
** [[spoiler:This vile, bloodthirsty rapist becomes a loving mother and wife]].
** [[spoiler:She also ends up HappilyMarried to a human man and having a half-breed daughter with him, despite basically having the ANaziByAnyOtherName mentality in the past]].
** [[spoiler:She ends up laying down her life to defend the Earth from a Viltrumite warlord]].
* KilledOffscreen: When she is last seen she is still alive but wounded, after saving Eve's life, and it is unclear how wounded she actually was. It is revealed she died in between the events of two issues.
* LightIsNotGood: Wears white with silver, but is very much cruel and sadistic.
* LoveRedeems: [[spoiler:Eventually starts a family of her own on Earth. She is HappilyMarried to a human man and has daughter with him, while raising Marky as well]]. Mark is understandably deeply sceptical, but it turns out to be correct, and she performs a HeroicSacrifice at the end.
* ManipulativeBitch: ''Oh, so very much.'' She [[spoiler:rapes]] the main character and he is affected to the point where he can't seem to have intimacy with the woman he loves, Eve. Also, Mark starts to shake at the sight of her and can't bring himself to tell his father, who is emperor of the Viltrumite and would certainly punish Anissa for what she did if he found out. He doesn't do or say anything when she whispers "missed you" to him and that is right after the birth of his daughter. Mark was so affected by what happened to the point that he couldn't stay with Eve after the birth of their daughter. Mark started to become more aggressive with Anissa as he grabbed her by the throat in front of his father, whom he told to stay out of it, only to let her go after hearing her admit that she is enjoying his aggression and it makes her want to speed up their "next meeting". Mark is so shocked that he lets her go and when his father ask him if there is something that he should know about, Mark just says "no" twice as he walks away while Anissa smiles.
* MrsRobinson: Though she doesn't look it, she's thousands of years older than Mark, the person she wants to seduce.
* OhCrap: Five years after she [[spoiler:raped Mark]], she got into an altercation with [[ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend Eve]], who had full knowledge of what she did. When Nolan breaks up the fight and hears Eve mention something about the incident, [[PapaWolf he grabs Anissa by the throat and demands to know what she did.]] However, after Mark lies about the rape, Nolan lets her go -- though he eventually figures it out. Then, in the last page, we see her fly home to her husband/lover, Scott and their newborn daughter, displaying an odd sense of humanity. Then, we are introduced to a little boy who resembles a young Mark [[spoiler:and it's later confirmed that he is Mark's son]].
* OlderThanTheyLook: Anissa was born on the Viltrumite home planet, and witnessed the time of king Argall, the purge, the Scourge virus and the rise of Thragg to power which happened thousands of years ago. She looks not that much older than Mark. The Viltrumites age slower as they get older.
* RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: [[spoiler:She rapes Mark in Issue 110 and her excuse for that is the Viltrumite mission of procreating with humans in order to save their kind from extinction and she wasn't performing on her end because she didn't want to mate with the humans that reside on Earth. Also that Mark is young and weak, but he has Viltrumite blood running in his veins. She informs a traumatized and crying Mark to "man-up" and that it will probably take a few more times to impregnate her and she will see him soon before flying away. This means she intends to do it again, much to Mark's horror. This event is also the reason why, in Issue 137, Mark doesn't exactly believe his dad when he tells him that she changed for the better during the TimeSkip -- though as it turns out, LoveRedeems]].
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: [[spoiler:She dies in battle, trying to protect Mark]].
* RetiredMonster: [[spoiler:Anissa seems to have mellowed within five years, even starting a family with a normal human alongside her [[ChildByRape son through another father]]. That said, it seems no one in her family is aware of what was before and while she is sorry for what she did, she doesn't regret having her son]].
* VillainessesWantHeroes: She wants Mark for her mate because of his half-Viltrumite DNA. [[spoiler:She doesn't care for his consent]].

[[folder:General Kregg]]
!!General Kregg
One of Viltrum’s top enforcers, he is in almost all conflicts the Viltrumites took part in the series, for bad and for good.
----
* BadassBiker: Kregg seemly takes an interest on bikes while living on Earth, becoming a mechanic for them.
* EyeScream: Loses his eye in combat, replaces it with a mechanical implant thereafter.
* EyepatchOfPower: Takes up wearing an eyepatch after blending in human society, covering his bionic eye.
* RankUp: Kregg is the only recurring Viltrumite other than Thragg to have a rank attached to him, as a General he definitely has an extensive body count and conquering accolades on his chest.
* ReallyGetsAround: Takes Thragg’s order to heart later, [[spoiler:he mates with dozens of human women, but he also adopts the new Viltrumite way, fully loving all the women he met and all the children he had; by his own words Kregg had no idea monogamy was mostly the standard on Earth]].
* RecurringCharacter: Is seen on-screen in most of all Viltrumite conflicts in the series, by virtue of [[spoiler:keeping himself alive to the end of the series and beyond; other veteran Viltrumites who also live on don’t have as many appearances as him]].

A mild-mannered Viltrumite, even if capable of being just as barbaric as any other member of his race, sometimes he can be quite sensible.

* OneTrueLove: Has the record of the fastest converted Viltrumite in the series, [[spoiler:he finds true love on his first try, with a woman he completely devotes himself to, adopting serious monogamous commitment, despite Thragg’s direct orders for mass scale breeding, for she was hurt by her previous lover who had an affair before]].
* TokenMinority: While he isn’t the only black Viltrumite in the series, he is the only one with any plot significance, and a small one at that.

* TheKingslayer: Thaedus is responsible for killing Emperor Argall, which led to the Viltrumite civil war and putting Thragg as Grand Regent.
* ThereIsAnother: He saw himself as the only Viltrumite with the audacity to rebel against the Empire, believing himself to be an anomaly. However, it was not until he learned of Invincible that it could be possible to turn other Viltrumites to the Coalition's cause.
* MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: He's the first Viltrumite to be disgusted by how his people acts during their days as a ruthless empire and thus is also the first one to rebel. Although he takes it one step further by killing the Emperor of the Viltrumites.
* NotSoDifferent
* OffWithHisHead: How he meets his end, having his head torn off by Thragg during the war.

* HeelFaceTurn: Started as blindly obedient to her father, but turns against him after realizing he sees all of his children as being expendable. [[spoiler: When Mark finally decides to liberate Earth from Robot's rule, Ursaal and her remaining siblings side with him without hesitation.]]
