* TheFatalist: The nature of her power causes Inca to believe that events are inevitable, thus causing her to commit horrible acts without a care in the world.
* HateSink: Absolutely nobody, in-universe or out, cares for Inca. ''Nobody''. Her callous attitude towards others, her disdain for a normal life and ''need'' for an adrenaline rush, the fact that she murdered her friend without a second thought (who was trying to save her) and countless other heinous actions have ensured that she pretty much has no fans, not even the LoveToHate ones. [[AllLovingHero Shinra]], of all people, pretty much sums up Inca's life as "empty" and promises to ''kill'' her the next time he sees her.

!!Leadership
[[folder:The Evangelist]]
!!The Evangelist
The leader of all White Clad groups, mastermind to their wicked deeds and TheBigBad of the entire manga. The Evangelist is a mysterious character who's plans seem to span hundreds of years and the globe.
----
* TheAgeless: The Evangelist hasn't aged in 250 years and appears to be much older than that.
* BigBad: The origin of most the problems in the series and likely holds the answers to every mystery.
* BlindedByTheLight: Looking upon the Evangelist blinds people as if they are staring into the sun, and their eyes simply burn away. Due to this, many of her servants wear blindfolds.
* DissonantSerenity: Whatever this she is, she can be appearing in any horrible situation with a quiet smile.
* DivinelyAppearingDemons: Constantly bathed in white light and angelic robes. She might also be from hell.
* GreaterScopeVillain: The Evangelist is directly or indirectly responsible for most of the evils in the Fire Force universe. And most ArcVillain characters work for her.
* HistoricalRapSheet: It is spectated that the Evangelist has been creating demons and inspiring religions across the globe.
* HumanoidAbomination: She is human shaped, but that's about it. She's a huge entity that towers over the rest of the cast and has been around of centuries.
* InTheHood: The Evangalist's hood hides everything except her mouth.
* KillThemAll: Her goal, at least how the knights interpret it, is to turn the planet into a star by setting it on fire.
* LackOfEmpathy: Her schemes threaten the entire world and even with somebody begging at her feet for salvation; The Evangelist barely reacts.
* LargeAndInCharge: The Evangelist towers over the human characters.
* LightIsNotGood: Wears white angelic robes, is described by the characters that have seen her as divine, is heavily associated with light but also wants to burn the planet.
* PowerFloats: She is always seen hovering in the air during Adolla Link based visions.
* SamusIsAGirl: [[AmbiguousGender After about 100 chapters with no defined gender]], we learn the Evangelist is female.
* TheQuietOne: The Evangelist has barely spoken since her introduction. Edges on TheVoiceless.
* OutsideContextVillain: The Fire Force is designed to research a disease, protect people and fight the occasional criminal. An extra dimensional being with plans for the entire planet that has shown up out of nowhere was not expected.

!!Recruited Pillars
[[folder:Second Pillar - Haumea]]
!!Haumea
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/haumeas_appearance.png]]
Another follower of the Evangelist and user of the Adolla Burst. Haumea is able to control electrical signals and people. As such she's as dangerous as she is childish and playfully cruel. Since her introduction, she's become a major villain in the series and involving herself in many conflicts with the intent of carrying out her master's will.
----
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Inverted. She talks down to Shō, belittles his strength and dismisses his concerns. They might not be related by blood, but they were raised by the same 'parent', so this holds. She's also the same age as Shinra.
* AxCrazy: She enjoys inflicting pain and gives Joker a run for his money when it comes to joyfully attitude.
* BlondesAreEvil: She is blonde and a major nutcase.
* BrainsAndBrawn: Haumea directs field operations while Charon handles most of the fighting. Although she can handle herself just fine.
* CosmicKeystone: She has the Adolla Burst. Unlike most other users, [[EndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt she is perfectly willing to use it to ruin the world.]]
* CoolCrown: Wears one like a visor that hides her eyes.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: She can be seen as one to Sho. He was calm and serious despite being innocent at one point, Haumea is cruel and consistently upbeat with flashbacks implying she's alway been a terror.
* CreepyChild: She's been involved with The Evangelist since she was five. She was just as bad back then.
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: She strips [[spoiler:Arrow]], squeezes her body while shocking her, which gives off an S&M vibe. [[spoiler:Her forcing Arrow to watch her put lipstick on Sho and dresses him up as a doll for a 'puppet show' [[RapeDiscretionShot cuts away]] before [[NothingIsScarier seeing exactly what she intends to do.]]]]
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: She playfully banters with Sho while his brother is bleeding to death at his feet and [[KickTheDog twists the knife by pushing the sword deeper into Shinra's chest]]. All the while acting half her age.
* TheHeavy: She becomes the main source of problems for the main characters in regards to the Knights, since Sho is out of comission by the time she is introduced and the Evangelist doesn't fight directly, so she leads many of the attacks.
* HiddenBuxom: Her outfit is quite baggy, but leaves her shoulders, back and armpits exposed. Despite the form-hiding outfit, her breasts are so large that from the [[{{Sideboob}} side]] or back they can still be seen.
* IHaveYouNowMyPretty: [[spoiler:The first time we see Shō in her clutches, he has been dress up in like a china doll and Haumea is delicately taking a brush to his lips. She also comments that she's always wanted a puppet like this while angling his head. Given how Arrow is ForcedToWatch her 'puppet show', the undertone of the whole thing is extremely creepy.]]
* LargeHam: Very, very loud and expressive. Contrasts with Shō's stoicism.
* LightningCanDoAnything: Haumea's abilities involve using electrical currents to control people (including hormone manipulation) and communicate over long distances.
* LogicalWeakness: If something interferes with her electrical current it will counter her abilities and she'll have to protect herself without her powers.
* MagnetismManipulation: She uses this to break her fall while escaping capture and stick to walls.
* MoreThanMindControl: Haumea can just put people in a trance and make them do what she wants until they snap out of it. She can also use her ability with some more care to control their hormonal balance. So she can lower inhibitions, increase aggression, whatever it takes to push people into doing what she wants of them.
* MoodSwinger: She seems stoic at first and the shifts into childish glee in the span of seconds. While she is typically manic, she still slides into thoughtful and restrained depending on her situation.
* PeoplePuppets: She can use her electric-based problems to control people.
* PetTheDog: Once got angry at Charon for always worrying about her. Yes, that's the nicest Haumea has gotten.
* PsychopathicManchild: She's cruel, twisted, spiteful and very immature. Often exploding with anger and violence when her followers displease her. What we see of her room makes it out to a stereotypical fairy tale princess arrangement with some creepier elements. Like a headless bird in a cage [[spoiler: and the mind controlled 13 year old in an armchair.]] The series very much makes her out to be a SpoiledBrat with far too much power.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Haumea ''loves'' stepping into a situation to make it worse.
** She does this so often that she almost completely derails her own plans by just playing around too much.
* TalkativeLoon: Unlike most White Hoods, Haumea is both very loud and very open about what the organisation is trying to do.
* TheTease: Haumea has been shown to enjoy teasing even her own allies like a spiteful version of TheGadfly, but it sometimes has a sexual undertone. [[spoiler:When she gets annoyed by Arrow's performance and the way Arrow talks back to her; Haumea tears through Arrow's cloak, grabbing her veil while groping her stomach (drawing attention to Arrow's breasts) and "massaging" her electricity. She then tosses Arrow to the floor and tells her to succeed or die.]] [[spoiler: There's also her playing with Shō like a doll and forcing Arrow to watch.]]
* ThoseTwoBadGuys: She and Charon have this dynamic. Which side of the RedOniBlueOni dynamic they fall on changes depending on who is swinging in which direction.
* WomanInWhite: Of the eccentric, mad variety.

[[folder:Third Pillar - The Commander '''(SPOILER)''']]
!!The Commander / Sho Kusakabe
The Commander of the Ash Knights and Shinra's long lost little brother. Having been abducted by the Evangelist at an extremely young age, Shō feels no emotional connection to his brother and only views him as a pawn in his master's plan.
----
* AChildShallLeadThem: He's not even 13 and he's leading an order of knights in a crusade. He's exceptionally powerful and responsible for his or any age.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Present day Shō was introduced grinning like his brother. Since then, all of his appearances since then have focused on how emotionless he is.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: Seems to be The Evangelist's strongest and most loyal servants and is the mastermind behind several story arcs. [[spoiler:He is supplanted by Haumea and is robbed of his power.]]
* FeatherMotif: Shō can create feathers made of fire. It makes him look like an angel and [[spoiler:might be his natural ability without {{Divine intervention}} giving him more power]].
* FlashStep: He is ''very'' quick, but not as fast as Joker.
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Like Shinra, Shō has white pupils. Unlike Shinra's angled eyes, Shō's softer eyes and evil intent makes him a lot more sinister. Like his older brother, his eyes where once completely normal.
* HopeSpot: It looks like Shinra has finally freed Shō from The Evangelist... [[spoiler:But Haumea stabs him through the chest and uses {{mind control}} to force Shō into leaving with her. Also, The Evangelist has robbed Shō of his {{Time Stop}} power.]]
* LightIsNotGood: Shō has white pupils and white hair, wears a white outfit and looks like a little angel. He's a ruthless killing machine.
* KickTheDog: To ensure Shinra understands exactly how little their blood relation means to him, he insults their dead mother. Shinra didn't take it well.
* MindScrew: Everyone watching him fight completely loses tract of what he is actually doing. It takes a genius to figure out what his power is and even then Shō's ability is too powerful to break.
* SiblingYinYang: Shinra is darkly coloured, loud and kind while Shō dresses in white and is defined by his quiet ruthlessness.
* StrongerSibling: All for Shinra's training is an attempt to get anywhere near Sho's level.
* SuperEmpowering: [[spoiler:Burns thinks that Sho's Adolla Burst awoke Shinra's.]]
* SuperSpeed: He can travel a fair distance, calming observe someone, come to a decision and attack within the span of a second. [[spoiler: It's later revealed his speed is more due to time dilation than actual speed.]]
* TimeStandsStill: Downplayed but [[spoiler:Vickor suggests that Sho is actually superheating the area around him to increase the expansion of reality around him such that time moves faster for him compared to everyone else via time dilation. So while he's not stopping time, the result is roughly the same.]]

[[folder:Fifth Pillar - Inka Kasugatani]]
!!Inka Kasugatani
A young girl who is able to smell when fires are about to start. She uses these powers to leader a group of 'fire thieves', who save people in exchange for their money. She is targeted by the Evangelist and finds herself trapped between cultists trying to control her and the Fire Force trying to save her.
----
* CombatClairvoyance: Her ability lets her know when somebody is about to launch a fire-based attack. She is so good at this [[spoiler:she could dodge a kick from Shinra with ease]].
* ConvenientlyAnOrphan: She says she lost a lot during a five 2 years ago, implying her family were killed. Meaning she has nothing to worry about besides herself and her friends. Also, nobody will miss her if the cult abducts her.
* CosmicKeystone: [[spoiler:She has the Adolla Burst and it makes her very valuable.]]
* TheCynic: She finds Shinra's heroism and idealism laughable. She comes around to it eventually, just not for the right reasons.
* DamselInDistress: Played with. Inka lampshades this trope and she doesn't want anyone to save her. Instead, [[DamselOutOfDistress she thinks that she is perfectly able to save herself]].
** Inka herself deliberately invokes this, [[spoiler:when she willingly joins the Knights to put herself in a situation of constant terror and to experience Shinra chasing her down.]]
* DissonantSerenity: Inka is seen humming to herself as her town burns down around her. Her friends are terrified, she sees it as a golden opportunity to make some money.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: Hers start normal but gain weird star symbols once her powers develop. [[spoiler:She latter has the same white pupils as Shinra and Shō.]]
* JapaneseDelinquents: Her gang are basically this. Wearing masks to hide their faces during their criminal activities. Although Inka herself seems like a normal student.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: She has no idea what is happening in her introductory arc. The cultists are trying to capture her and Fire Force are trying to protect her. Neither faction has the time to explain things why and she decides that she should avoid both of them.
* NightmareFetishist: She's really into the idea of danger and the risk of death. It makes some her conversations with [[spoiler:Shinra]]... [[InterplayOfSexAndViolence interesting]].
* OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent: Inka is just a normal high school student with a morally questionable double life, implying she is a year or two younger than Shinra.
* SecondHourSuperpower: When faced with Charon and a life of suffering, Inka develops her powers out of fear and desperation. See not only smells and predicts fire, she becomes able to create (but not control) explosions.
* ShoutOut: Her hoodie has the same eye marks as Medusa, a major villain of Soul Eater.
* ThrillSeeker: Inka's actions are based around her desire to put her life on the line and fight to survive. Her crimes as a fire thief are just to put herself in danger once again.
* YouCantFightFate: The weakness of her explosive power is that she cannot use it without seeing a pathway of heat to control. Inka interprets this as she is fated to attack some people and not others. [[NeverMyFault This also means she feels no regret or shame when using her power when she can]].

!!Bodyguards

[[folder:Arrow]]
!!Arrow
!!!Voiced by: Creator/YumiUchiyama (Japanese), Tabitha Ray (English)
One of the first introduced and one of the most prominent, Arrow is a Third Generation fighter with the ability to generate a bow and arrows out of fire that surpass bullets and ''tanks'' in terms of destructive power.
----
* ActionGirl: Undeniably.
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: Dark hair, dark heart and very quiet.
* ArcherArchetype: Arrow uses a bow of flame to fire arrows. She falters at close range and is often independent.
* ArrowsOnFire: She has an ability to conjure flame bow and arrows. They can ether act as piercing shots or explosives.
* BeleagueredAssistant: [[spoiler:Is forced to work with Haumea and clearly hates every second of it.]]
* BoobsOfSteel: The bustiest member of the Ashen Knights, and also the female with the most blatantly destructive powers - namely her arrows.
* BodyguardBabes: She's meant to be TheDragon to the 'Third Pillar' and she is quite the looker.
* ColdSniper: She is an extremely frigid woman and is specialized in attacks from long range, being show killing people from different buildings.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: [[spoiler: Arrow is disgusted by being forced to stand by and watch her commanding officer being used as Haumea's plaything. Haumea in general seems to get under Arrow's skin.]]
* EvilCounterpart: To Hinawa. They are both relentless fighters with a focus on long-range attacks and a emotionless approach to conflict. The difference is that Arrow believes human emotion and desire are irrelevant, while Hinawa can still value people.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: Both her eyes feature a downwards pointing arrows as pupils.
* EvilDuo: When paired with Haran as they cover each other's weaknesses through flawless teamwork.[[spoiler: Getting stuck with Haumea made Arrow much less capable.]]
* HartmanHips: Her usual robe completely hides her extremely curvaceous figure and massive hips and thighs.
* HiddenBuxom: In addition to her aforementioned wide hips, her robes and cloak hide her large beasts.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Arrow can see a target hundreds of meters away while in absolute darkness and react appropriately. She can even fire an accurate shot in those conditions while injured.
* OverarchingVillain: She's just a henchman, but Arrow is propionate within several arcs. [[spoiler:She is finally defeated and seemingly killed 4 arcs after her debut.]]
** [[spoiler:Turns out she's still alive and causing trouble.]]
* NervesOfSteel: She basically has to dodge shots from a tank and will do it without a shred of panic.
* MaleMightFemaleFinesse: Haran uses brute force and close range combat, while Arrow uses range and planning her shots.
* ReluctantFanserviceGirl: Arrow completely hides her figure in her robes and makes no attempts to emphasize how shapely she is. When Haumea [[ShamefulStrip strips and shocks out of spite]] while grabbing her, Arrow is clearly uncomfortable not only with the shock and Haumea's behaviour, but her body being shown off so blatantly in front of people.
* SamusIsAGirl: Her name and initial design hides any clues of gender. She is eventually revealed to be a woman during her fight with Shinra.
* ScarsAreForever: [[spoiler:She has a scar across her nose after fighting Hinawa.]]
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The only woman on the team [[spoiler:until Haumea appears]].
* TheStoic: The number of times she expresses emotion or pain can be counted on one hand.
* TrickArrow: Her arrows can either cut enough bodies and buildings, curve in mid-air or explode on impact.
* YouHaveFailedMe: Arrow [[spoiler:kills Rekka after he gets captured to prevent him from talking]]. Given her personality, it's unlikely Arrow was the one to make the call, she was just excellent at carrying it out.

[[folder:Charon]]
!!Charon
Haumea's partner and bodyguard. He combines deadly explosions with brutal martial arts skills to achieve their master's goals. He becomes a giant obstacle thought out the series due to his insane strength. He takes the spotlight in the Fifth Pillar arc.
----
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Like Hibana, is likely his natural skin tone.
* BareFistedMonk: Fights with his bare hands and martial arts mastery.
* BlindfoldedVision: He's worn a blindfold for over a decade. It doesn't seem to have cause him any trouble.
* BloodKnight: He ''really'' enjoys fighting. He's also really good at it and one of the most useful members of the White Clad when it comes to fighting.
* BrainsAndBrawn: Charon acts as the Brawn in Haumea's plans, following her orders and battling their opponents.
* CallingYourAttack: Often shouts out what he is going to do before he does it. [[spoiler: It's actually part of his strategy. Distracting attention away from his true power.]]
* ConstantlyCurious: The man will ask a question over and over and over until he gets his answer or somebody punches him.
* CounterAttack: A master of these. Every time he is hit, Charon finds a way of dominating his opponent with counters.
* DeclarationOfProtection: Promises to protect Haumea no matter what. [[spoiler:He also promises to protect Shinra as well, because they need him alive as one of the Pillars.]]
** He later shouts that he will protect [[spoiler:Haumea, Shinra, Inka, and Nataku. Even through Nataku was trying to kill him and all of Tokyo.]]
* TheDragon: To Haumea and is one of the strongest characters in the entire series.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He's not above killing civilians or witnesses, but even he thinks certain powers like Ritsu's are simply distasteful.
* HyperCompetentSidekick: Charon is doggedly loyal to Haumea, exceptionally skilled in every area she struggles with, and puts up with her insanity without complaint.
* IAmNotLeftHanded: There is more to him and his power than mets the eye. [[spoiler:He actually absorbs kinetic impact, stores it in his body and releases it as an attack. He can't actually create his own flames. He hides this to ensure his opposition won't stop hitting him or realize why he is so durable.]]
* ImmuneToBullets: They bounce of him harmlessly [[spoiler:because he absorbs all the force and adds it to his own power]].
* KamehameHadoken: Fires one against Shinra. He does the classic stance and everything.
* LargeHam: When he gets going, he gets really loud and over the top.
* MoodSwinger: He might actually be ''worse'' than Haumea in this regard. Charon will jump between stoic religious platitudes, manic yelling, professionalism, innocent questions, sinister threats and furious questions in the span of seconds.
* NighInvulnerability: Heavy impacts and explosions don't slow him down. If anything, they amuse him. [[spoiler: Even after Shinra hit him with a massive attack he couldn't absorb, Charon gets back to his feet with only minor injuries.]]
** [[spoiler:He manages to tank and redirect a radioactive blast that would have potentially leveled Tokyo and redirect to the ''moon'', where it made a visible crater.]]
* NobleTopEnforcer: Charon would die if it let his master succeed. Meaning he might even maybe do the right thing if it means his side wins in the end.
* NoRespectGuy: On his own team at least. Haumea would never admit that she repeats him, Ritsu calls him an idiot, and [[spoiler:Inka]] seems to think the way he gets bossed around is funny.
* PetTheDog: Asks [[spoiler:Inka]] to allow Nataku to remain with the Hajima since [[spoiler:Kurono]] would serve as his bodyguard. He recognized that while the relationship between them doesn't seem right or healthy to 99% of the population, the bond between them made it the best-case scenario. This is probably the same reason he serves Haumea.
* PromotionToParent: It seems Charon was just a teenager before he was put in charge of protecting and partly raising Haumea. Given that she's a SpoiledBrat and Charon doesn't have any control over her, it doesn't seem like it worked out for him.
* ThoseTwoBadGuys: He and Haumea have this dynamic. Which side of the RedOniBlueOni dynamic they fall on changes depending on who is swinging in which direction.
* UndyingLoyalty: No matter what happens or how difficult Haumea is, Charon will always protect her. This is also tied to his loyalty to the Evangelist.
* UnstoppableForceMeetsImmovableObject: Charon is basically invincible so [[spoiler:Kurono]] can't hurt him. But [[spoiler:Kurono]] is so skilled that Charon can't do anything to him.
