The Tesla Gun loses the chaining effect but does more damage the longer it fired uninterrupted and Tesla Mines do more damage the longer they go untriggered. The Assault Rifle is the least changed, with a higher rate of fire at the expense of clip size.

The Tier 5 Trapper Character. Jack is a plucky young inventor and the only Shear native among the hunters. He is also a bit insecure about his abilities and masks this fact by acting as the confidant and bad ass hero "The Jackal". [[spoiler:He is also the son of Ida Lennox.]] He has two sets of pistols, a satellite tracking beacon that points out the monsters footprints and the ability to project a force beam that halts the monster from heading in a certain direction.

Hank]], which focuses on anticipating the fight. The Shield Charger doesn't apply its full charge to hunters immediately but slowly applies a shield which lasts until they take damage. For offense, the Laser Cannon now fires a continuous stream while the Orbital Drill fires a damaging beam from the sky that doesn't knock back teammates.

The first monster type encountered on Shear and the mainstay of the attacking force. Goliath is a melee-focused bruiser, fast and capable of taking quite a beating. When he asks into the name of Lennox's PoweredArmor, and is rebuffed by Lennox that he mustn't read a lot since it's from the classic Literature/TheWarOfTheWorlds, he says, "Most of the books I read got pictures in 'em." This mainly seems to be in regards to classic literature, as he is extremely knowledgeable about more practical information.

* SmarterThanYouLook: His gentle nature, simple attitude, and rugged appearance belies a vast intelligence. Hank knows Bohrium yields, fermonic condensate, and the difference between a [[TechnoBabble synoptic effector and a subasthenospheric drill]].

The Tier 2 support is Bucket, the Laurie Anne's robotic pilot. He exhibits a balance of offense, defense, and utility, able to cover an area with [[GlassCannon powerful-but-fragile Sentry Turrets]], deal consistent damage with a Guided Missile Launcher, and recharge the class abilities of his teammates.

* ExcuseMeWhileIMultitask: Since Bucket's AI is within their ship as well as the robot body he's operating, Bucket can do a lot while also participating in the hunts. He's simultaneously piloting the drop ship, analyzing the collected monster data, and preparing the evening menu just to name a few.

* MoreDakka: Bucket ''loves'' his missile launcher. In fact, he wonders why he only has one, and thinks he should be made of missile launchers.
* NumberTwo: He was this to Cabot in their previous group. Parnell has since taken this positon, so his personal connection to Cabot and usefulness in the ship has relegated him to Number Three.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Justified, his serial number is far to long to be easily used.

* ShoutOut: Before deploying them, his turrets look almost exactly like personality cores from ''[[VideoGame/{{Portal}} Portal]]''. He also has a dropship line where he declares "Prepare for [[VideoGame/{{Titanfall}} Bucketfall]]! And copyright infringement!"

* UncertainDoom: He has a much longer life span than most hunters, but like the others it is unknown if he survives [[spoiler: the Extinction attack]].

* OnlySaneMan: Debatable with Hank and Parnell but unlike his fellows, Cabot is levelheaded, mature and treats the hunt like how any sane professional would; with calm seriousness. He never indulges himself into comics like Parnell would or casually talks about dropping orbital barrages on his teammates like Hank. And that's not getting into the rest of his team...

Despite her friendly nature, Sunny's no joke in combat. She wields the Mini-Nuke Grenade Launcher, which deals the greatest damage of any single projectile in the game. For defense she can deploy a Shield Drone, which shields the teammate that most recently took damage. Rounding out her gear she has the Jetpack Booster, which gives another hunter an extra reserve of jetpack fuel so long as she stays locked on.

* MacGuyvering: He cobbled together Emet and most of his equipment with what he found in a junkyard.
