* ButtMonkey: He crashes cars so much that it's his Banzai alias, with the Western arc revealing that he's AcquaintedWithEmergencyServices. Molly also manages to use her Epithet to sic Ben on him during the Museum arc. ''Prison of Plastic'''s Kickstarter page even describes him as "the unluckiest of Giovanni's minions".

* AmbiguousSituation: [[https://jelloapocalypse.tumblr.com/post/189712070212/sorry-if-youve-already-been-asked-this-before#notes Jello]] has stated that ''if'' any of Giovanni's boys have an Epithet, it'd be him, and it'd be "Binary" ''if'' he had one. The ambiguous part is that Jello never concretely says that he has an Epithet, rather he suggests that he ''might'' have one. ''Prison of Plastic'''s Kickstarter page lampshades this by describing him as "the most mysterious of Giovanni's minions".

* MaybeMagicMaybeMundane: The name of his (potential) Epithet lines up perfectly with a second copy of him popping up behind Crusher when Percy unveils her real ass, goddamn sword. That said, it's still up in the air whether or not he does have an Epithet and as such it's not clear where the other Dark Star came from.

* AdaptationalWimp: In ''Anime Campaign'', his Epithet Bluster had a proficiency slightly less than 20 (around 3 to 4 stars) and let him do things like create winds strong enough to throw people around the room or blow up and deflate like a balloon. In ''Epithet Erased'', his proficiency with his Epithet was weakened to one star to showcase his incompetence.
* BlowYouAway: His Epithet is supposedly this, but really it's so weak that it's pretty much useless.

* PoliceAreUseless: [[ExaggeratedTrope Unbelievably so]]. He hands out free guns to visitors and seems genuinely surprised when Percy describes ''solving crimes'' as part of his job. Ramsey claims that the ''only'' reason he got the job was the fact that, lame as his Epithet is, he's the only person in town who ''has'' one. Ramsey even chose Redwood Run to turn himself in specifically because being in his jail cell is more like staying in a hotel, which he could easily escape if needed.
* RequiredSecondaryPowers: His Epithet actually has [[HeartIsAnAwesomePower decent potential to be powerful]] with a little creative interpretation of "bluster", but his utter ''lack'' of creativity and him being rather ditzy means he only uses it to blow a donut off a table.
* SuperBreath: This is how he applies his Epithet, but he can only do it strongly enough to ''barely'' push a donut off a table. His total lack of willpower or creativity stifles any applications his Epithet might otherwise have.

* TheThingThatWouldNotLeave: He got his job because he lived in the woods for ages, so when they built the town, he refused to move and they eventually built that tavern ''around'' him.

* AmbiguouslyHuman: He's a mundie, but has stats that outrank most Inscribed and steam seems to rise from him after the Banzai Blasters interfere with his job.

** Absolutely do not interrupt or damage his work and if you do, you'd better quickly apologize. If you don't, get ready for a wrench in the face.

* RidiculouslyFastConstruction: Can build ''insanely'' fast for [[CharlesAtlasSuperpower someone with no epithet, just skill and muscle]].
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: His favorite snack is honey, usually drenched over a hexagonal screw. He beams whenever he talks about it.
* TranquilFury: When the Banzai Jennifers shoot the building he'd been fixing (after he specifically asked to be left out of the confrontation), he grows angry enough that [[HighPressureEmotion steam starts rising off him like a cloud]] but never raises his voice above a terse growl.

* {{Workaholic}}: He fully planned to work himself to death by 35, feeling living past that meant he didn't work hard enough.

An insolent boy that's in Molly's class.

* EveryoneHasStandards: While he generally comes across as tiresome, juvenile and obnoxious, in "Two-lloween" he openly acknowledges that Trixie is nonbinary (admittedly in [[GirlsHaveCooties a profoundly stupid context]]), which per ''Literature/EpithetErasedPrisonOfPlastic'' most of their class don't. And those other students should probably feel bad that ''Stink'' is outdoing them.

* ShoutOut: He's one to the 90s gross-out toys, basically acting as a physical manifestation for those toy's intended audience.

** In ''Prison of Plastic'', everyone is frustrated by his antics, with him being the only one who thinks his habit of never remembering Phoenica or Trixie's names is funny. Naven is described as "[wanting] to die" while interacting with Martin and has even called child protection services on him at least once. [[spoiler: Giovanni ends up hitting him over the head with a bat and declaring Martin to be his greatest nemesis. When Molly hears about this as Giovanni "kidnaps" her, she's more amused than concerned that Giovanni hit her dad.]]
* HateSink: He's an annoying, lazy, and neglectful ManChild that forces his preteen daughter to do his responsibilities, and is generally uncaring about her well-being.

* LaserGuidedKarma: After two years of neglecting and mistreating Molly, he eventually gets his comeuppance when Giovanni calls him out on his lousy behaviour before smacking him upside the head with his bat and later taking Molly away from him (seemingly for good).
* ManChild: He acts no better than the children he's chaperoning. He even asks Molly for her phone just so he can play an obnoxiously loud video game on it while he's supposed to be supervising. His irresponsibility has also lead to his family being barely above the poverty line, despite being the owner of a semi-successful toy store.
* NoIndoorVoice: Always seems to either be making noises, talking loudly and generally ignoring others, including his own daughter (who politely asks him to quiet down).

* ParentalNeglect: Apparently isn't home much, leaving his daughter to run the store at night. He also doesn't realize that Molly isn't with him when he leaves the museum. He only decides he's good to go after checking that having his keys, two phones and a missing wallet counts as the three things he needed before leaving. In ''Prison of Plastic'', [[spoiler:when Giovanni threatens to steal "the most valuable thing from his store", Martin assumes that he's referring to his castle diorama, showing that he does not value his younger daughter very much]].
* ShadowArchetype: To Giovanni. Both are [[NoIndoorVoice loud]], [[ManChild juvenile]] and [[DidntThinkThisThrough impulsive]], but Giovanni has a core of basic decency and a sense of responsibility, while Martin [[HatedByAll just sucks and everyone knows it]].

* NeverLearnedToRead: Is apparently illiterate, as he plans to use the Bartender's special "SPELL-'EM-UP SOUP!" to learn how to spell. Keep in mind, said soup only features 22 letters of the alphabet, including "the new vowel B2."
* NiceGuy: Unfailingly nice and polite to everyone he interacts with, regardless if they're a citizen, criminal or law enforcer. This doesn't help him do his job, and is part of the reason why the Banzai Blasters in Redwood Run aren't fazed by him.

Molly realizes that both her parents would have been bad as single parents, and it's only together at the Blyndeff family was able to be happy under two broken support beams".

* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: He earned his name because he crashed Ben's car ''4'' separate times.

Evil Overlord: Is described as a tyrannical ruler of his country that forces his people to fight in gladiator games.
The Ghost: Is only mentioned by Rick when talking about his backstory and escape from Ocean Country.
Greater Scope Villain: He is the ruler of the Ocean Country and the reason why Rick Shades nearly drowned when escaping to the surface.
Would hurt a child: He forced a twelve year old Rick Shades to fight as a gladiator in order to be harvested and increase his power.

* DeceasedParentsAreTheBest: [[ZigZaggingTrope Zig-Zagged]]. Molly has nothing of fond memories of her mother compared to her (understandably) less than savory opinion on her father and sister, but WordOfGod mentions that Calliope would have taken losing Martin as badly as he did losing her.
