* MeetTheNewBoss: Anti-Kotua was basically an excuse to continue the "evil Kotua" schtick even after the Kotua crisis ended.

* DeadAlternateCounterpart:
** According to Mustache Maniacs Film Co. canon, Ronald Alexander's Dimension 418 counterpart passed away from natural causes in 2004.
** Ronald Alexander's Timeline 1958-B and Timeline 1958-C counterparts were both murdered by a time-traveling Talia Kaahs. In Timeline 1958-D, he simply passed away from natural causes, much like in Dimension 418.

* AlternateSelf: Kotua meets Anti-Cane during his brief detour into the Antiverse. While we don't see much of him to tell how similar Cane and Anti-Cane are, we do know that Anti-Cane is the sort of person who would hold a baby hostage in a burning building... which can be seen as a metaphor for Cane using the Dino Attack apocalypse to forcibly reshape humanity the way he sees fit.

Added example(s), Alphabetizing example(s), Trope was cut/disambiguated due to cleanup

* NuclearMutant: In the very early days of the RPG, Landro claimed to be responsibility for waves of radiation causing the Dino Attack, implying that the Mutant Dinos were created by nuclear radiation. This explanation was ultimately dropped and ignored in favor of them being mutated by the Maelstrom in the current canon.

* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: We learn a few Mutant T-Rex names in their tongue, and most of them are not very friendly-sounding. Examples include Levi (short for Leviathan), Ragnarok, Sharptooth, and Wrathscale.

!!!Cyrista's Bane

to:

!!!Cyrista's !!Cyrista's Bane

* MakeMeWannaShout: The Mutant Triceratops's horns can amplify its roars and bellows into sonic booms.

* SuperScream: The Mutant Triceratops's horns can amplify its roars and bellows into sonic booms.

!!Minifig/Mutant Lizard Hybrids
The ''Quasifigus lacertilia'' were created by XERRD as hybrids of human minifigures and Mutant Lizards, serving as their EliteMooks. They apparently sided with Dino Attack Team after Rex and Dr. Rex's FreakyFridayFlip, but cemented their loyalty to XERRD when they were issued Order 66.

* CanisLatinicus: While ''lacertilia'' is Latin, ''Quasifigus'' is just a made-up vaguely-Latin-sounding portmanteau of "quasi" and "minifigure".
* CavalryBetrayal: The Hybrids arrived to help the Dino Attack Team in the Goo Caverns, but one of the Hybrids captured Rex so Dr. Rex could lure the team into a trap. Later, they arrived to aid the Dino Attack Team in the Torn World, and then immediately revealed their true allegiance to XERRD after the battle was over.
* DramaticUnmask: When Rex and Chompy first encountered XERRD's samurai guards, their identity was kept mysterious by their face-masking helmets. Chompy managed to knock one's helmet off, shockingly revealing the Mutant Lizard head underneath.
* EliteMooks: Minifig/Mutant Lizard Hybrids, while not necessarily as strong or deadly as other Mutant Dinos, act as the elite mooks of XERRD due to combining mutant abilities with cunning human intelligence.
* EmptyEyes: Quasifigus Hybrids have blank white eyes.
* EverythingsBetterWithSamurai: Despite being neither Japanese nor samurai, ''Quasifigus lacertilia'' wear gratuitous samurai armor. A "random useless made-up fact of the day" revealed that Dr. Rex signed off on the armor's design because [[RuleOfCool he thought it was cool]].
* FacelessGoons: As XERRD's mooks, Quasifigus Hybrids wear face-concealing helmets.
* HalfHumanHybrid: The ''Quasifigus lacertilia'' Hybrids are half-human, half-Mutant Lizard.
* HeelRaceTurn: Subverted. They appear to have switched sides twice during the war: first a HeelFaceTurn, then a FaceHeelTurn. However, they never actually were on Dino Attack Team's side; they were working for XERRD the whole time, and their Heel-Face Turn was just a ploy and thus there was no real Face-Heel Turn.
* ImAHumanitarian: Despite being half-human, the Hybrids have no qualms eating human flesh, with Enox Phorm claiming that they crave it as a sweet meat.
* LizardFolk: Minifig/Mutant Lizard Hybrids are essentially humanoid reptilians, and they even stand in for the {{Standard Fantasy Race|s}} during the mission to Mount Bricklake. They're almost always evil (especially after Order 66), although Eno Saurian and Locutus are rare heroic examples.
* TheMole: The Hybrids appear to undergo a HeelRaceTurn and join Dino Attack Team's side, but are still working for XERRD and secretly following Order 65. By the time Dino Attack Team discovers their duplicity, the Hybrids have already taken over key outposts in Castle Cove and Gold City.
* MountedMook: The Hybrid Riders of the Maelstrom are Stromling Hybrids that ride Mutant Dinos.
* MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: After Order 66, all Minifig/Mutant Lizard Hybrids were regarded as AlwaysChaoticEvil. However, there are some exceptions, notably including Eno Saurson and Locutus, who defied Order 66 and remained allies of Dino Attack Team.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: It seemed that the Minifig/Mutant Lizards' HeelRaceTurn was the result of them mistakenly thinking that Rex was their master, Dr. Rex. However, it is hinted that they knew all along that he wasn't actually Dr. Rex and were just faking their ignorance to gain Dino Attack Team's trust; in the Director's Cut, they were apparently following Order 65 issued by the real Dr. Rex.
* ShoutOut:
** The Minifig/Mutant Lizard Hybrids themselves (especially their DramaticUnmask) were inspired by [=DNAmy's=] henchmen in ''WesternAnimation/KimPossible''.
** The Hybrids suddenly betraying Dino Attack Team after being told to "Execute Order 66" is an obvious reference to the Clone Troopers from ''Franchise/StarWars''. This is furthered by Locutus, whose official XERRD designation QL-326 is evocative of Clone Trooper designations, and he says "good soldiers follow orders" when talking about Order 66.
* SpinToDeflectStuff: The Minifig/Mutant Lizard Hybrids can spin their energized spears to reflect incoming attacks, even including sonic beams, back towards their enemies.

* EntitledToHaveYou: Ronald Alexander believed that because he was a nice guy and a friend to Talia, he deserved to have her. He doesn't deal well with her marrying George Ogel instead.

* EvilCounterpart: To Rex.

to:

* EvilCounterpart: To Rex.He is the villainous counterpart to Rex, which is emphasized by their shared names, voices, and physical appearances.

* ProfessorGuineaPig: Dr. Rex is not above using himself as a test subject. Judging from the unintended results of his self-administered Jugend Serum, it wasn't a good idea.

* SpikesOfVillainy: Dr. Rex's silge armor is covered with these.

to:

Weird, did I accidentally put some of Chaos's tropes under other characters instead?

* TheArtifact: Considering how other early elements of the RPG later got heavily retconned (such as Landro or Toa Zero), the fact that Chaos (a ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure'' character blatantly shoehorned into an unrelated ''Toys/LEGODinoAttack'' RPG) has only been given minor tweaks by later canon makes it seem like an odd relic of the old days. And yet, Chaos is so iconic to the Kotua crisis StoryArc that it absolutely must remain canonical.

* AdaptedOut: The [[EliteMook Super Mutant Pterosaur]], which was found atop the Tower of Eight Trials, was retconned into CanonDiscontinuity and did not appear in the {{rewrite}} ''Love and War''. It was still referenced as a MythologyGag when Phantom tells Rex that Zero saw a "super Mutant Pterosaur" in the hangar on the headquarters' top floor, although he later reveals that there might not have been a super Mutant Pterosaur at all.

I realized that I put Doppelmerger under the wrong character entry! While I was here, I added a few more tropes for Chaos.

* {{Doppelmerger}}: The Chaos working with Kotua is revealed to be a synthetic copy created by [=ShadowTech=], who manipulates Kotua into freeing the real Chaos from its Mayan prison. After the two Chaoses briefly work together, they willingly merge into a single entity known as Alpha Chaos.

to:

* ChaosIsEvil: ''Especially'' Unsurprisingly, the being literally named "Chaos" is a villain. Especially when a Maelstrom-enhanced clone is created by [=ShadowTech=].[=ShadowTech=] for some extra chaos in your Chaos.

* CombatTentacles: Made of water.

to:

* CombatTentacles: Made Chaos attacks with long tendrils made of water.water.
* CorruptedCharacterCopy: Chaos from ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure'' is a WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds with a sympathetic backstory and ultimately performs a HeelFaceTurn. But while this RPG's Chaos is inspired by that Chaos, this Chaos is devoid of any sympathetic traits and is a pure evil villain.
