''The Dark Knight''

* TheAce: In addition to his martial arts training, he has mastered [[EscapeArtist escape artistry]], [[MasterSwordsman swordfighting]], [[GreatDetective detective skills]], [[StealthExpert stealth]], has a PhotographicMemory, earned 12 Master's degrees, [[ImprobableAimingSkills is an expert marksman]], and has vast knowledge on how to exploit pressure points.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: In-universe. Boomstick repeatedly doubts he's merely a ludicrously strong and skilled man, and Wiz's best justification for his feats is that he might as well have been exposed to gamma rays a la the [[ComicBook/TheIncredibleHulk Hulk]].
* AnimalThemedSuperbeing: Bruce's suit is based on a bat to make criminals feel the same fear he feels for the animal.
* BackFromTheDead: The first defeated combatant to make a return. Also the first previously defeated opponent to return with a win.
* BadassNormal: He doesn't have any superpowers, and while he trained to achieve [[CharlesAtlasSuperpower Charles Atlas Superpowers]], underneath the suit he can be taken down by a bullet like any mortal man.
* BattleBoomerang: With his super-sharp Batarangs.
* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: With enough training, Batman was able to master every martial art known to man. Boomstick repeatedly questions whether or not Batman really isn't superhuman. Wiz points out that in the Bat's line of work he could easily have stumbled upon mutating gamma rays or something of that nature.
* CombatPragmatist: His forte, as usual, in this battle he attacks from all blind spots, exploits pressure points, and Steals Cap's shield, and uses it against him.
* CompositeCharacter: Uses more or less the same information granted from his fight with Spider-Man, as well as additional information from Screwattack adding in more research to their analysis, such as the Shock Gloves from VideoGame/BatmanArkhamOrigins.
* DeceasedParentsAreTheBest: After his parents were murdered, he vowed to [[WeHelptheHelpless protect the citizens of Gotham City]].
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: The first thing we see of him as he enters the battlefield.
* GrapplingHookPistol: The Batclaw, used to snap Captain America's neck.
* HeroicMime: Much like his previous Death Battle, he doesn't say a single thing; unlike his opponent.
* InnateNightVision: His cowl contains gear that has night, infrared, and ultraviolet vision, as well as a triangulation imaging system that can create a 3D map of the world just by hacking into every cell phone on Earth.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Molossus'' from Film/BatmanBegins, ''Main Theme'' from WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries, ''Attack of the Batwing'' from Film/Batman1989, ''The Dark Knight Triumphant / End titles'' from WesternAnimation/BatmanTheDarkKnightReturns, and ''Dark Knight'' from Film/TheDarkKnight play during his analysis.
* MadeOfIron: To superhuman levels, he has withstood the vacuum of space for 24 seconds, and being buried 6 feet under in a coffin stuffed in a straight jacket deprived of sleep for days with Joker's latest venom toxin ''and'' a cocktail of hindering drugs in his system. Boomstick wonders aloud if he's even human at all because of this feat.
* NeckSnap: With his grappling hook, he wraps around Cap's neck, tethers it around a streetlamp and... this trope.
* NonFatalExplosions: His explosive gel doesn't fatally harm foes, it can only stun them. This is enough to catch Captain America off guard and let Batman go in for the kill.
* PressurePoint: More knowledgeable in this than Cap. This helps him at the end, rendering Cap helpless.
* ShockAndAwe: His Shock Gloves, which are significantly deadlier than his suits' taser function, capable of puncturing kevlar and stopping ''Bane's'' heart. They don't do much in the fight due to Cap's shield having no conductivity and Cap's own resistance to shock, nullifying the gloves.
* SmokeOut: Carries around several smoke pellets to supplement his stealth skills. He uses this to set up an ambush against Cap, as while he could "see faster" than Batman, this won't let him see through thick smoke.
* StealthExpert: He could disappear and reappear in an instant thanks to his mastery of stealth and the various gadgets he carries around his utility belt. This helps net him the win in the end. Since Batman is capable of hiding from the likes of Superman, there's no reason why he couldn't do the same against Cap.
* StoneWall: Slightly demonstrated with Batman's Batsuit. Captain America's strength is significantly lower than Spiderman's, so Batman was able to endure this fight long enough to discover Cap's weaknesses and adapt to the battle. Also, the Captain wore relatively lighter armor, meaning without his shield Batman had a slight advantage in endurance.
* StuffBlowingUp: Explosive Gel.
* SuperReflexes: Shown dodging a bullet and can dodge Darkseid's Omega Beams. This enables him to react and dodge nearly every one of Captain Amercia's attacks, giving Batman enough breathing time to think up a plan.
* SuperSenses: Batman uses gadgets in his cowl to give him sonar vision, radios, superhearing and other traits that increase his effectiveness in stealth, detection and ambush. It's a clear advantage over Cap, whose senses are not as extreme.
* TheStrategist: Batman is clearly more intelligent than Captain America in both tactics and knowledge, even if Cap is an effective commander. Batman was able to conclude that Cap's shield was too much of a threat, so Batman gained an advantage in the match by disarming and stealing the shield. He also confused and ambushed America by using his gadgets and stealth.
* TerrorHero: He uses The thugs of Gotham City to start shaking in fear the moment they see his silhouette.
* WeakButSkilled: Batman is slightly physically slower and weaker than Cap but has a slight edge in skill, MASTERING all the martial art skills that he knows.
* UnexplainedRecovery: The episode makes no references to the results of Batman's previous match. He just appears from the shadows to battle Cap, as good as new. Since these battles are just a dramatization based on the research, one can say that the characters aren't actually fighting, and therefore no one's actually dying. Also, according to Max of Few Trades who is one of the members of the research team, this episode was planned out ''before'' Batman Vs Spider-man and was kept in reserve just for such an occasion as the hard drive failure that pushed back Godzilla Vs Gamera.
* UtilityBelt: It's where he keeps his gadgets, and seems to have everything he would need in a fight.

''The Sentinel of Liberty''

* AbsurdlySharpBlade: The "blade" being his ''shield'', which can cut ''through adamantium''.
* BadassNormal: That Super Serum increased his abilities beyond the maximum potential for humans, but he is still susceptible to guns and knives like any human man.
* BlindedByTheLight: When Batman tosses a shield covered in explosive gel, the resulting detonation blinds Cap, leaving him off-guard to Batman.
* TheCameo: In ''The Flash vs. Quicksilver.'' Also makes an appearance in ''Deadpool vs. Pinkie Pie'', where Deadpool poses as Batman and knocks him out with his shield. Then cameos again during Black Widow's rundown in ''Black Widow vs. Widowmaker''.
* CaptainPatriotic: He's the Trope Codifier of this, being created mostly as a reaction to most people's desire to fight the Nazis in World War II.
* CompositeCharacter: Clips of his tv, cartoon, film, video game and comic book incarnations are used together in his bio.
* DrugsAreBad: He defeated a group of villains called the Drug Lords, who were personifications of typical street drugs.
* EagleLand: When his analysis mentions Steve Rogers becoming Captain America, Cap's picture gets superimposed images of fireworks, guns, and a flying eagle while Boomstick shouts "'MERICA!"
* FinishingMove: The Captain attempted his Hyper Charging Star attack famously used in his Capcom videogames, but Batman used a smoke bomb and grappling hook to escape the attack.
* FragileSpeedster: To some degree when compared to Batman. Cap can run almost 50mph yet his body armor is either very light or entirely non-existent compared to Batman's bullet-resistant armor. Because of this, Cap needs to use his shield to block attacks.
* GeniusBruiser: Intelligent, and can kick ass. He is skilled at every form of hand-to-hand combat known to man.
* GeekPhysiques: Before his super-steroids, Cap was a frail, short and sickly man. He had an encyclopedia of illnesses and potential vulnerability for most diseases. Most [=WW2=]-era facilities refused to accept him because of his frailty.
* GroinAttack: Shown in his analysis to have given one to the Hulk, which impresses Boomstick for the sheer ballsiness of it.
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: Anyone unfortunate to be torso-shot by his shield, including Cap himself.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Batman tricks Captain America by spraying explosive jell on his shield. Cap expects the shield to ricochet or boomerang back to him, allowing Batman to throw the shield right at his feet without him immediately realizing the trap. After this Batman steals the shield, making Cap defenseless. Finally, he cuts America in half with the shield for good measure.
* HumanPopsicle: Cap fell into the Arctic Ocean and was frozen from the end of World War II until the modern-day (the exact date depending on when the comic or movie was created).
* {{Hypocrite}}: In his rundown, the hosts lampshade that Cap promotes anti-drug use even though drugs are "the entire reason he became awesome".
* ImmigrantParents: His parents were Irish immigrants.
* JumpedAtTheCall: During World War II, he tried multiple times to enlist in the army, and was rejected each time until he signed up for Project: Rebirth.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Captain America'', ''Training the Supersoldier'', ''Star Spangled Man'', ''Captain America March'', ''Invader's Montage'' and ''Triumphant Return'' from Film/CaptainAmericaTheFirstAvenger, ''Captain America's Theme'' from VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3 and ''Lemurian Star'' from Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier play during his analysis.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: His iconic Vibranium shield is a cornerstone of his fighting style, nearly indestructible, and can be thrown around like a boomerang. In the battle itself, this gave Cap the upper hand during the first half of the fight since Batman couldn't brute force his way past the shield until Batman used his mastery of stealth and trickery to disarm him.
* McNinja: Boomstick classifies him as such because he knows ninjitsu.
* OlderThanTheyLook: He was born in 1920. After being frozen alive, he still looks like he's in his late 20s.
* PressurePoint: Not as knowledgeable as Batman in this regard, but is still quite skilled in it. His inexperience compared to Bats renders him unable to counter Batman's own pressure point attacks.
* ShieldBash: Commonly performs whacks, tackles, and punches with his shield as part of his fighting style.
* SicklyChildGrewUpStrong: He was a skinny kid who aspired to fight for his country, but he was deemed unfit for service due to his weak build and multiple health problems. However, he was chosen for the US government's Project: Rebirth, a project in which he would be a test subject a super-soldier serum that would increase Steve's strength to beyond the pinnacle of human performance. The serum was a success, and he became one of America's strongest warrior.
* StoneWall: With his indestructible shield, Captain America has been able to survive many deadly opponents. Even Batman's endless variety of gadgets made it impossible to get through Cap's defense through brute force. But Batman's stealth and disarming skills allowed him to steal Cap's shield. With Cap wearing, at best, light Kevlar he couldn't survive Batman's stealth ambushes and plastic explosives.
* SuperSenses: Not to the extent as Spider-Man, but can pick up on sounds, smells, and sights far greater than the average human. This was an important point in the fight, Steve's senses aren't as worthy as the spider-sense, compare with Batman, who can sneak around Superman.
* SuperSerum: Steve was injected by one created by the US Government to make him one of their best soldiers against Nazi Germany.
* SuperSoldier: He was created as one to counter the Nazi threat in the 1940s.
* SuperSpeed: Steve can run a mile in 73 seconds, over three times faster than mile run record holder [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hicham_El_Guerrouj Hicham Guerrouj]].
* SuperStrength: He can lift 1100 pounds, twice as much as 2013's bench pressing record holder [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Spoto Eric Spoto]].
* ThrowingYourShieldAlwaysWorks: Frequently throws his razor-sharp shield to and fro throughout his battles. Subverted in the fight itself where throwing away his shield is actually what costs Cap his victory.
* UnbreakableWeapons: It's mentioned in the analysis that Cap's shield has only been broken by cosmic beings or {{Reality Warper}}s. Otherwise, it is impressive enough for Superman (the guy who can survive supernova explosions) to praise it and want one of his own. It even stopped the godly hammer of Mjolnir.
* UnskilledButStrong: To some degree against Batman. Captain America is slightly stronger and twice as fast as Batman but Batman has slightly superior skills and tactics than Cap.
