He became one because of two reasons: 1) the last time he tried seeking help, his abusive manager turned the therapist he sought into his personal YesMan, leaving him scared of being abused even more if he opens up. And 2) he's so compassionate that he sees others' well-being as more important than his own, and he doesn't want to burden them with his own problems. As a result, the traumas he suffered from went untreated for ''three Ages''. It not only leads to his psychological health deteriorating, it leads to Bossa Nova (who he is [[TwinTelepathy spiritually connected]] to) being unaware of his twin's suffering, and also creates '[[EnemyWithin The Colonel]]'. Once someone finally figures out what's going on and warns everyone close to him, it's almost too late, as his repressed traits boil over and push him to his RageBreakingPoint, leading to him suffering an emotional meltdown that nearly corrupts him.

* EternalLove: He eventually becomes HappilyMarried to Prince Stoltur Skjöldur, after being crowned as Prince Caerulus Melodia Equestria and joining the Equestrian Pantheon. Despite being [[OppositesAttract complete opposites of each other]], they love each other very much and being gods, their marriage will last for eternity.

** Many of Blue Suede's past partners were stallions, with his first coltfriend/husband being Record Beat, a unicorn stallion and DJ who had a crush on him for a while prior to getting together. However, he was completely faithful and loving to all of his partners, and never forgot their faces and names long after they died. One of his affairs eventually led to the birth of Lyra Heartstrings, a mortal demi-divine Fourth Age descendant, though other descendants are rumored to include Flash Sentry, Roneo, and Gladstone.
** Prince Stoltur Skjöldur, a long-time friend of his, would gradually fall in love with Blue Suede while the latter psychologically recovered, and Blue Suede would genuinely return his feelings. After Blue Suede becomes Prince Caerulus Melodia Equestria and joins the Equestrian Pantheon, he and Stoltur would marry; despite their opposing natures, they're very HappilyMarried, with Stoltur boosting Caerulus' self-esteem while Caerulus lowers Stoltur's pride.

** After witnessing the flaws of many gods and goddesses over the course of three Ages since his Ascension, Blue Suede realized the "King in Heaven" he worshiped is likely [[GodIsFlawed just as flawed]]. Despite this, he soon realized that (in his words) being born good, bad, and/or in-between is "just how the world is". As he explains to Prince Written Word, even deities have the power to improve themselves, and if someone like the "King in Heaven" can do that, then he has hope that he can still remain humble even when he is tempted with sin.
** However, his second entry reveals that despite his faith and devotion, Blue Suede went through some rough patches where he seriously doubted his ability to follow the 'King in Heaven''s teachings, especially when his various flaws and traumas became increasingly harder to ignore. After his psychological breakdown, he felt extremely depressed over the thought that he made himself irredeemable and unforgivable in the eyes of the King. Thankfully, Blue Suede's family, friends, and loved ones were able to help him recover, in the process restoring his faith.

* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon: InUniverse, he was recording the song [[Music/ElvisPresley "(You're the) Devil in Disguise"]] in the Beatles' own studio right before his collapse and following seizure. Ironically, he would end up meeting and befriending a few "devils in disguise" later on, such as Luminiferous, Prince Stoltur (who would eventually become his husband), Queen Krásná (who would eventually become his adoptive daughter), and Iniquitous.

* HistoricalBadassUpgrade: Blue Suede is based on Music/ElvisPresley, one of the most famous rockstars of his time. But whereas Elvis served a two-year draft term during World War II and came back a Private, Blue Suede became a war hero and a feared sniper known as "[[RedBaron The Blue Death]]" who fought in the 'Second Maretian-Tellusian War'. And while Elvis is remembered for becoming fat and destroying his own legacy in his later years, Blue Suede avoided making the same destructive choices in part thanks to his friends and loved ones, and eventually [[DeityOfHumanOrigin became the Alicorn god of Music and Humility]] through years of good deeds. And because he broke away from his abusive manager and had access to people who helped him overcome his various issues, he was able to [[TookALevelInBadass become an even more powerful god]], culminating in his re-Ascension [[spoiler:and transformation into a reincarnation 'clone' of Mana Equus]].

* HistoricalDomainSuperperson: Music/ElvisPresley is hailed as a musical icon who changed the face of music forever, yet also derided as a joke who let himself get fat and destroyed his own legacy. * SupernaturalIsPurple: He later re-Ascends during the 'Dark Ages Crisis' [[spoiler:as a reincarnation 'clone' of Mana Equus, the Empyrean Magician]], giving him purple traits like purple-tinted hooves and eyes, a purple stripe in his mane and tail, and an additional purple wing gradient. [[spoiler:His association with purple caused many InUniverse to speculate that Twilight/Amicitia was involved in his re-Ascension; for the record, she refuses to answer]].

It's [[BrokenAce deconstructed]] in that three Ages worth of abuse, loss, and other bad experiences created a whole plethora of psychological issues which caused him to become [[SanitySlippage increasingly mentally unstable]], culminating in his near-Fall and following [[AngstComa coma]]. He is saved when a group of friends and family [[JourneyToTheCenterOfTheMind psychically enter his mind]] to help him defeat '[[EnemyWithin The Colonel]]', but is essentially a broken stallion once he wakes up. Then it's reconstructed once he receives lots of support and psychiatric help, especially from Prince Stoltur, allowing him to finally heal from his traumas and accept his various flaws. His journey ends with him becoming [[TopGod King]] of the Corporatum Pantheon [[spoiler:and a reincarnation 'clone' of Mana Equus, one of the fabled [[TheOldGods Thirteen Empyreans]]]].

* AllLovingHero: He's a kind, friendly, and polite stallion, which became a huge reason why he was such a popular celebrity in the Second Age. After the Second Age ended, he would befriend mortals and deities from across the globe, including [[GodOfEvil evil deities]] like Vicearch Iniquitous. However, it's deconstructed - being a truly all-loving hero is actually ''impossible'', and while he ''is'' genuinely nice, he still has flaws like any other creature. And as the [[JerkassGods Elternteil Deer Pantheon]] showed, there are those who choose to hurt him because they hate him for what he represents. All these factors made him increasingly bitter, hateful, and desperate to keep helping others until he [[DespairEventHorizon finally]] ''[[RageBreakingPoint snaps]]''. Then it's reconstructed when, thanks to receiving a combination of therapy, support, and [[WhatTheHellHero a rather smelly wake-up call]] from [[TheFairFolk Nittunak]], he genuinely makes huge efforts in overcoming his problems and becoming a better stallion - efforts that end with him becoming [[TopGod King]] of the Corporatum Pantheon, the loving father of several '[[KarmicJackpot Karma Babies]]', [[spoiler:and a reincarnation 'clone' of Mana Equus]]. While he still retains his compassion, he does have his limits (and is more willing to show them) and ''will'' kill his enemies if it'll protect innocents from harm.

* AlwaysIdenticalTwins: He and his older brother, Bossa Nova Heartstrings, are identical twins, so they look exactly the same [[IdenticalTwinIDTag except for a few differences]] - Blue Suede's mane, tail, and wing gradients are dark blue, and he has a Cutie Mark depicting a red, heart-shaped electric guitar with a blue musical halo and and white wings. Meanwhile, Bossa Nova's mane, tail, and wing gradients are dark red, and his Cutie Mark depicting a skull-shaped guitar with a red musical halo and black wings. The fact that they're identical twins initially caused Temnobog to assume that [[TheDividual they were magically separated in the womb]] by their own father until they confirmed that no, they were just born that way. [[spoiler:After becoming reincarnation 'clones' of [[TheOldGods Mana Equus]], their Cutie Marks change to star-shaped guitars that heavily resemble Twilight/Amicitia's six-pointed star Cutie Mark, except Blue Suede's is blue while Bossa Nova's is red]].

* AngstySurvivingTwin: Like Elvis, he's the younger of identical twins, but his older brother, Bossa Nova, came out stillborn. While it's believed InUniverse the loss affected him in some way, he would later discover that Bossa Nova is technically 'alive', but working as a {{Psychopomp}} under [[ParentalSubstitute Gavisus Manes]] at the time. The discovery shocked him so much that he [[FaintInShock fainted]]. That being said, he does [[ASharedSuffering sympathize with those who lost family members]], such as Miracle Hymn, Queen Krásná Tradice, and Prince Written Word.

** Later on, after re-Ascending, his Cutie Mark changes into a blue electric guitar shaped exactly like Twilight/Amicitia's six-pointed star. [[spoiler:That's because he became a reincarnation 'clone' of [[TheOldGods Mana Equus]], with his Cutie Mark changing to reflect his new connection to both her and Twilight/Amicitia, another one of Mana's reincarnations]].
* TheAtoner: Deconstructed and played for drama. While he was never a villain to begin with, he felt ''extremely'' guilty for even his perceived mistakes, and sought to atone for them by resolving things peacefully, with violence as an absolute last resort. He later develops a huge GuiltComplex that, combined with his other existing issues, leads to a ViciousCycle where in trying to make up for his mistakes, he ends up making more, which only drives him further to make up for ''those'' mistakes. And while he hated himself for being a massive {{Hypocrite}}, he kept ignoring the problem due to his absolute conviction that he can make things right. Eventually, his psychological instability and the immense stress he is put under causes him to have an utter meltdown, nearly corrupting himself into an Fallen Alicorn. He is saved by his friends and family, and he conquers his inner darkness, but he comes out of the ordeal a broken stallion and feeling like he failed everyone. While his guilt tendencies don't go away entirely, he does get better in accepting his mistakes and moving on from them, thanks to a combination of therapy, emotional support, and much-needed wake-up calls.

* BadassFamily: He and the Heartstrings family are this. He is an infamous Ponyland sniper known as "[[RedBaron The Blue Death]]" during the 'Second Maretian-Tellusian War', an ancient Alicorn '[[TheAce prodigy]]' and [[TheArchmage one of the most powerful spellcasters in the world]], and currently the [[TopGod King]] of the Corporatum Pantheon [[spoiler:as well as a reincarnation 'clone' of Mana Equus]]. His older identical twin brother, Bossa Nova Heartstrings, is a GodOfTheDead who shares a [[TwinTelepathy spiritual and telepathic bond]] with him. Some of his lovers, including his husband, Prince Stoltur Skjöldur, are gods and goddesses with varying degrees of power. He is also the biological/adoptive father and founding patriarch of the Caerulidae, whose members consist of his Ascendant surviving children and are capable deities themselves (save for the youngest like Prince Perfect Tone and Princess Baby Blue). Even his mortal father, Copper Wheel Heartstrings, got in on the action by [[PapaWolf punching "Colonel" Hollow Note post-mortem for abusing his youngest son]]. And this is ''just'' the tip of the iceberg.

* TheBeard: After he was publicly outed as a gay Unicorn by Hollow Note as 'punishment' for resisting his {{Blackmail}}, he married Venerable Grace on Hollow Note's advice to salvage his reputation and make it look like his time with Record Beat was just a 'phase'. While he and Venerable Grace were indeed close, he was miserable throughout their entire marriage because he only loved Record Beat, and felt guilty for not being the husband Venerable Grace wanted. After breaking away from Hollow Note, he divorced Venerable Grace so he could be with Record Beat again, though she has no hard feelings over it and in fact [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy encouraged the divorce]].

* BerserkButton: Like Elvis himself, he dislikes being called "the King [of Music/Rock and Roll]". Because he was raised by religious parents, Blue believes in the "King in Heaven" (speculated to be the god Equus) that's far more deserving of his titles. He also doesn't see himself as "the King of Rock and Roll" because - as far as he's concerned, he merely took inspiration from Zebra music and believes there are many Zebra musicians who could sing better than him, such as [[Music/FatsDomino Black Domino]], whom Blue idolized. However, it's subverted in that he's generally nice about it and will kindly remind people that he isn't "the King" whenever they call or refer to him by his title. Then it's averted when he drops his title and replaces it with "the Humble Sovereign" upon becoming an Alicorn Prince... only to finally accept his original title after accepting that he earned it through his own merits, which leads to him becoming [[TopGod King]] of the Corporatum Pantheon.
* BeliefMakesYouStupid: Part of the reason why he [[StopWorshippingMe doesn't want to be worshiped]] is because he doesn't want people to blindly put him on a pedestal without knowing what he's truly like, giving him immeasurable amounts of stress trying to live up to people's expectations and causing heartbreak for both parties. In regards to the Blue Bards, his mortal followers, he encourages them to approach him directly and see him as a friend and teacher. He later gets over it after his loved ones catch on and send him to Gagal, who helps him accept being worshiped since it's little different from how he himself worships the 'King in Heaven'.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He is a compassionate and humble stallion who [[MagneticHero made friends with just about everyone over the Ages]], regardless of race, gender, and age. But he's also a war veteran from the 'Second Maretian-Tellusian War', a staunch opponent of FantasticRacism, and one of ''the'' most powerful musical spellcasters in the world. He also held in three Ages worth of repressed PTSD and guilt over his many real and perceived mistakes, as well as bitterness and hatred towards anyone who mistreated him and [[KarmaHoudini got away with it]] - which nearly corrupted him in his DarkestHour once they finally catch up with him. And woe to ''anyone'' who manages to push him into a RageBreakingPoint, because [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown he will have no mercy]] (as "Colonel" Hollow Note learned the hard way). But once he recovers from his issues, he turns out to be a natural leader, becoming [[TopGod King]] of the Corporatum Pantheon [[spoiler:and a reincarnation 'clone' of [[TheArchmage Mana Equus]], one of the [[TheOldGods Thirteen Empyreans]]]]. That being said, he still isn't one to be messed with, having learned to [[GrewASpine stand up for himself]] and being more than willing to kill his enemies if it'll prevent more bloodshed.

** Princess Winter Opera, one of Blue Suede's former students, was ''[[HeroicBSOD devastated]]'' upon learning he was suppressing his own traumas and flaws for three Ages until it was nearly too late for anyone to intervene. She put her own feelings aside to help Blue Suede as he desperately needed help, but afterwards, she seeks out Mentálne to help deal with [[ItsAllMyFault her feelings of guilt]] over ignoring Blue Suede's own problems. She and Blue Suede still stayed good friends, however, and after Blue Suede recovers and joins the Equestrian Pantheon as a Prince, Winter Opera has dedicated herself to protecting and supporting her mentor the same way he did her - even joining the Church of the Stars to look after him after learning he did the same.

** War Rock kept trying to kill Blue Suede, despite knowing the latter is a god, because he's too arrogant to see that he's utterly outmatched by his hated rival. As a result, many of War Rock's plans against Blue Suede end up being way less successful.

** Blue Suede hates [[FantasticRacism tribalism/racism]], having grown up in southern Ponyland during a time when it was heavily encouraged and accepted. Much of his hatred stems from the [[CruelAndUnusualDeath brutal lynching]] of an [[WouldHurtAChild teenage Zebra colt]], Garden Spade, which enraged Blue Suede so much that he [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech publicly lambasted]] both the killers and the racist judges who [[KarmaHoudini let them go free]]. His own friendliness towards people of different Pony tribes and non-Equine races also got him [[MaliciousSlander slandered]], accused of hypocrisy, and even attacked by racial/tribal supremacists throughout the Ages. Because of this, he sees tribalist/racist behavior as stupid and childish, and gets really upset when people display it around him and others. That being said, Blue Suede is willing to help bigots see the error of their ways unless proven they're unwilling to change otherwise.
** Blue Suede hates it when music is "cheapened", as songs made purely for profit sound flat and dead, with absolutely nothing enjoyable about them at all. In Blue's opinion, what makes music "good" is if the creators put all of their heart and soul into their work. This came from his own experiences, where an increasingly corrupt Second-Age music industry influenced him from making music solely because he enjoyed it to making music just to earn some cash, and he himself was trapped under the hoof of an exploitative record manager, "Colonel" Hollow Note (until Bossa Nova's actions unwittingly set him free, that is).

** As shown with his conversation with the Poenan goddess Lamperielpida, he hates people who take the meaning of religious faith and twist it for nefarious ends. This is because, as a foal, he was taught to follow the "King in Heaven" and emulate his virtuous traits, such as humility and kindness to all. One of the main issues he has with Lamperielpida and the faith she preaches is that it's [[NotSoDifferentRemark no different than the tribalists of the Second Age]] - they both go after certain people they don't like and do horrible things to them, all while deluding themselves that they're doing the right thing, and they get "[[HolierThanThou uppity]]" when called out on their actions. By encouraging her peers and followers to believe that their actions were for a greater good, she enabled worst traits with self-deception and excuses, which would eventually create, in Blue's words, "utter monsters". Lamperielpida accusing him of not doing the same preaching work as she is ''angered'' Blue, who proceeded to give her a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech as well as a warning of what her misguided faith and self-deception might lead to if she doesn't change her ways.

* AnthropomorphicPersonification: Before his re-Ascension, he's an Alicorn god who previously embodied Music, Humility, Performance, and Love. In regards to his Love domain, he specifically embodies Philia Love, known as the love shared between friends. He would later embody Musical Magic, Self-Respect, Performance, Love, and Mana following the 'Dark Ages Crisis' [[spoiler:in which he became a reincarnation 'clone' of [[TheOldGods Mana Equus]]]].
* ApologisesALot: After defeating '[[EnemyWithin The Colonel]]' and waking up from his AngstComa, he would start apologizing frequently for things he did or didn't do. It's justified as he suffered from ''three Ages worth'' of untreated psychological issues that he desperately tried to repress. Once he woke up and said issues were brought to the forefront, with full knowledge of his mistakes and near-transformation into a [[FallenHero Fallen Alicorn]], he was left so broken that he developed a GuiltComplex over it. Fortunately, his friends and loved ones, as well as receiving psychiatric help, would help him break out of it.

* PurpleIsPowerful: He gains purple traits after re-Ascending, like a purple tint in his hooves and eyes, an additional purple wing gradient, and a [[SkunkStripe purple stripe]] in his mane and tail. [[spoiler:This is because he actually re-Ascended as a divine {{Reincarnation}} 'clone' as [[TheArchmage Mana Equus]], who had a heather-purple coat.]] Not only did his re-Ascension give him new domains relating to magic/mana, it also made him one of the most powerful musical spellcasters in the world.

* AdultFear: He gets subjected to this a lot throughout the Ages.
** Blue Suede would end up becoming the SoleSurvivor of his family after reaching adulthood - first by losing Bossa Nova, his older twin brother, to stillbirth, then by losing his mother and father to illness and an automobile accident, respectively. Supernatural elements aside (his grief would later be mitigated upon discovering that Bossa Nova is 'alive' in a sense), his situation is extremely relatable for those who end up outliving their own family members.
** During his music career, Blue Suede worked under a manager who essentially was a sociopathic, greedy, and psychologically abusive ControlFreak. Every time Blue Suede tried doing something different or finding some form of happiness, his manager would sabotage it, and because his manager gambled a lot, Blue Suede had to constantly work to pay off his manager's debts. Eventually, Blue Suede was hospitalized due to overworking himself, and his subsequent attempt to fire his manager only provoked a heated argument that [[RageBreakingPoint pushed Blue Suede to the brink]] in [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown the worst way possible]]. It is no wonder that Blue Suede ends up extremely traumatized for three Ages despite breaking away from his manager.
** Blue Suede also grew up in a time when things like racism and homophobia were extremely common, which worked against him since 1) he's a Unicorn in a country full of Earth Ponies, and 2) he was dating Record Beat, a Unicorn stallion. When Blue Suede's manager found out, he tried {{Blackmail}}ing Blue Suede, then publicly demonized him and Record Beat by publicly releasing personal information. Blue Suede tried protecting his coltfriend by breaking up with Record Beat, but that didn't stop them from being attacked by homophobes.
** Many of Blue Suede's clashes with War Rock are this, as War Rock, being a narcissistic sociopath, had no qualms over hurting him by proxy through fans and loved ones.
*** War Rock got Crystal Clear, Blue Suede's adoptive son, to side with him by engineering their falling-out and playing on Crystal Clear's insecurities and resentment. Then Blue Suede is forced to fight his own son when War Rock sics Crystal Clear on him as punishment for his betrayal. Thankfully, Blue Suede saves Crystal Clear without bloodshed, but his son still has to go to jail for assisting War Rock.
*** War Rock also broke into the house of Healing Song, one of Blue Suede's students, and tried attacking him over a past insult. Even worse, Healing Song is ''blind''. Thankfully, Healing Song was able to distract War Rock long enough for Blue Suede to drive him away, but the incident left Healing Song with long-lasting trauma.
** Similarly with his mortal family members, Blue Suede also outlives several of his mortal friends like Music/TheBeatles, his ex-wife Venerable Grace, and his first husband Record Beat. This can hit home for anyone who outlived their own friends and/or spouses. And as he reveals to High Queen Arvan, he feels hurt every time his children leave him, something that can affect any parent.
** Blue Suede's reaction to [[MadScientist Professor Bubbling Beaker]]'s misdeeds is essentially someone learning they unwittingly inspired a SerialKiller to kill innocent people through their actions.
** Blue Suede learns from Prince Shamrock Bloom [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/827598943/4824945246 during a conversation about relationship advice]] that his friends kept pressuring him to find a romantic parnter despite knowing he's aro/ace. This pisses off Blue Suede so much that he [[PapaWolf goes after said friends to chew them out for their insensitivity towards his godson]].
** Both Blue Suede and his friend, Clover Bloom, would learn that Shamrock was being exploited by an abusive ballet manager, evidenced by Shamrock's increasing misery. This hits Blue Suede especially hard since [[CloseToHome he himself was abused by his own manager once]]. Once they had proof, [[PapaWolf Blue Suede]] and [[MamaBear Clover]] would storm the manager's office in a fury on Shamrock's behalf and "[[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech lay into him]]" for over an hour.

* WingedUnicorn: His true form is described as a tall Alicorn with a long horn, a HolyHalo made of Music energy, and a dark blue gradient on his great wings. And as a "[[TheAce prodigy]]" deity, he's already showing signs of gaining his second pair of wings, since his physical and magical growth are both accelerated compared to "normal" deities.

* RedBaron: During the 'Second Maretian-Tellusian War', he was known as "The Blue Death" for his fearsome skill in [[BoomHeadshot sniping]], which, by his own admission, he learned out of sheer necessity because he had grown sick of participating in bloodshed up close. He hadn't touched a gun since the war's end, and he didn't reveal his exploits until he started taking psychiatric appointments with Mentálne.

* RequiredSecondaryPowers: His entry notes that his mouth and ears are resistant even to the damaging effects of his own music, allowing him to keep his SuperHearing that is a part of his Music domain.

* TheRival: War Rock, his Second-Age musical contemporary, saw him as this. A large part of this is due to being complete opposites of each other, and War Rock's ego being unable to accept that someone else might actually be better at playing music than him, which led to him trying to ruin Blue's career and/or kill him numerous times. This worsened when War Rock got older and started experiencing a decline in his career due to advancing age; learning that Blue managed to Ascend to godhood and realizing that his rival would be around forever while he'll grow old and die drove War Rock to [[GodhoodSeeker seek immortality and power at all costs]] to preserve his own legacy. Blue never really took their rivalry as seriously as War Rock did due to his humility, and was in fact disgusted by War Rock as the latter represented everything he hated about entitled musicians and the music industry in general.

* {{Seers}}: His domain of Humility gives him a form of precognition that makes him see a person's future depending on their actions - he sees good futures if a person is humble and virtuous, but bad futures if not. This allows Blue to warn people of the consequences of their pride and other depravities, and help them redeem themselves. It's noted that Blue's foresight is similar to Stoltur's foresight, in which the latter sees people as they are if they reach their future potential for both good and ill. After learning under various Virtue and Psionics deities, his precognition is enhanced to where he can both predict the consequences of pursuing either pride or humility to unfettered extremes, allowing him to regulate both.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Like Flash Sentry, he has a dark blue mane and tail, except his own hair is much darker to the point where it has appeared black under certain lighting.

* AllLovingHero: He's a kind, friendly, and polite stallion, which became a huge reason why he was such a popular celebrity in the Second Age. However, it's deconstructed - being a truly all-loving hero is actually ''impossible'', and while he ''is'' genuinely nice, he still has flaws like any other creature. And as the Elternteil Deer Pantheon showed, there are those who choose to hurt him because they hate him for what he represents. All these factors made him increasingly bitter, hateful, and desperate to keep helping others until he [[DespairEventHorizon finally]] ''[[RageBreakingPoint snaps]]''. Then it's reconstructed when, thanks to receiving a combination of therapy, support, and [[WhatTheHellHero a rather smelly wake-up call]] from [[TheFairFolk Nittunak]], he genuinely makes huge efforts in overcoming his problems and becoming a better stallion - efforts that end with him becoming [[TopGod King]] of the Corporatum Pantheon, the loving father of several '[[KarmicJackpot Karma Babies]]', [[spoiler:and a reincarnation 'clone' of Mana Equus]]. His constant clashes with War Rock also traumatized him into repressing his own pride, knowing pride was War Rock's downfall and fearing the possibility of becoming like him.

He's also the Second Age's greatest musician, an ancient Alicorn 'prodigy', the King of the Corporatum Pantheon, and [[TheArchmage one of the most powerful musical spellcasters alive]], [[spoiler:as well as a reincarnation 'clone' of Mana Equus, Equidkind's first mage and the one responsible for giving all Equines the ability to use magic]]. This status is cemented when he chooses to join the [[SaintlyChurch Church of the Stars]], an entire pantheon devoted to teaching present and future generations of sapientkind.

* BenevolentMageRuler: He was already a powerful Music god before, but following his re-Ascension [[spoiler:and transformation into a reincarnation 'clone' of Mana Equus]], he became one of the most powerful musical spellcasters in the world. Now he's the ruling [[TopGod King]] of the Corporatum Pantheon, which watches over the island of Corporatum, and has been doing well for himself. Though he has suffered from insecurites and doubts over his own competence as a ruler at times and has admitted to feeling that he doesn't deserve to be King.

** In one incident, Blue Suede's then-mortal student, Healing Song, was attacked by his rival, [[RottenRockAndRoll War Rock]], who tried pulling a RevengeByProxy by hurting Blue through his friends. Fortunately, Healing Song [[NervesOfSteel refused to back down]] and managed to stall War Rock with a ''scathing'' TheReasonYouSuckSpeech, distracting his attacker long enough for Blue to arrive and [[CurbStompBattle drive War Rock away]].

* BigLittleBrother: Downplayed. Due to being identical twins, he's marginally younger than Bossa Nova, his brother, and is about the same height as he is. However, as deities, he's now the "older" brother because he Ascended first while Bossa Nova is 'younger' because he Ascended shortly after. Hilariously, Bossa Nova didn't take this well at first, but gradually accepted it.

** During his trial in the Elternteil Deer Pantheon's divine realm, he psychically sensed High Queen Arvan's grief and empathized with her trauma over losing many of her children to the First-Age EvilSorcerer, Grogar I. It's noted that his genuine compassion [[ArmorPiercingResponse caught Arvan off-guard]], having no one but her own family truly connect with her before, [[spoiler:and it's rumored that this led to her sympathizing with the abused Kunnusta of the Shadowed Ones]]. However, this was interpreted as Blue "seducing" Arvan by the other racist and xenophobic Elternteil Deer deities, especially King Aspen, who would've harshly punished Blue for his kindness had [[GodOfGood Belyolen]] not [[BigDamnHeroes intervened at that moment]].

* BreakThemByTalking: Defied. While acknowledging his rise to stardom was thanks to Hollow Note, he throws Hollow Note's attempts to psychologically manipulate/abuse him back in his face by [[ShutUpHannibal pointing out]] how it's ''Hollow Note himself'' who's entirely dependent on him and his success, not the other way around. Without a star client like him, Hollow Note is reduced to a "sad, pathetic piece a' horse-shit" who's rotting alone in Hell for all the horrible things he did in life. He then leaves Hollow Note for good literally and figuratively, while his manager is [[VillainousBreakdown left frothing with sheer rage]].

* ClassicalAntiHero: It turns out he is this. He's a musical prodigy and the Second Age's greatest musician, a compassionate, AllLovingHero who despises racism of all kinds, and a MagneticHero who was able to befriend even the likes of the dreaded Vicearch Iniquitous and her family. But he's also a ShellShockedVeteran and abuse victim who deeply repressed his traumas for three Ages (which is roughly ''tens of thousands of years''), and as everyone discovered, he felt extremely bitter, angry, resentful towards all the people who hurt him in even the smallest ways. All these factors (and other things) contributed to his SanitySlippage and eventual [[FreakOut breakdown]], which nearly corrupts him into a Fallen Alicorn. He recovers thanks to therapy, his friends and family's support, and a [[SmellySkunk rather smelly]] [[WhatTheHellHero wake-up call]] from [[TheFairFolk Nittunak]], and comes out of his ordeals better than before, even becoming King of a divine pantheon [[spoiler:and a reincarnation 'clone' of a dead ancient goddess]]. However, it's noted that his flaws haven't entirely gone away; he just got better at controlling them.

** Blue Suede hates [[FantasticRacism tribalism/racism]], having grown up in early southern Ponyland during a time where it was heavily encouraged and accepted. Much of it stems from the [[CruelAndUnusualDeath brutal lynching]] of an teenage Zebra colt, Garden Spade, which enraged Blue Suede so much that he [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech publicly lambasted]] both the killers and the judges who [[KarmaHoudini let them go out of racism]]. His own friendliness towards people of different Pony tribes and non-Equine races also got him [[MaliciousSlander slandered]] and even attacked by racial/tribal supremacists in the Fourth Age. Because of this, he sees tribalist/racist behavior as stupid and childish, and gets really upset when people display it around him and others. That being said, Blue Suede is willing to help bigots see the error of their ways unless proven they're unwilling to change otherwise.

* CoolBigSis: Gender-inverted. He's [[FriendToAllChildren very fond of kids]] and tends to act as an older brother figure for them. It's believed InUniverse that this stemmed from losing his older identical twin brother, Bossa Nova, at birth; while it ''did'' happen, the ironic twist is that Bossa Nova continued to "live" on despite being stillborn, and eventually Ascended to godhood himself. Learning of Bossa Nova's existence is what caused him to [[{{Fainting}} faint]] when they met each other for the first time.

* DeityOfHumanOrigin:
** He was a mortal unicorn and one of the most famous celebrities of the Second Age, until he met Luminiferous during a very low period in his life, after which he quit his job as a career musician and went globe-trotting to perform on his own terms. The list of his good deeds grew eventually allowed him to Ascend as an Alicorn demigod of Music and Humility. Later on, he would go on to Ascend to true godhood as well. It's later revealed that the meddling of his older twin brother, Bossa Nova, made his Ascension possible as Bossa Nova was subtly directing things in a well-meaning attempt to help his twin recover from his parents' deaths. When that led to disaster instead, he tried to make up for his mistakes by directing Luminiferous to his brother.
** His status as an Ascendant god would inspire [[MadScientist Professor Bubbling Beaker]] in the Fourth Age to [[WouldHurtAChild experiment on Pony foals and teenagers]] to unlock the secrets of Ascension and [[WellIntentionedExtremist bring about a 'golden age' for Ponykind]]. Learning of this understandably caused him to react with shame and anger.

* DiscoDan: Subverted. His favorite form to take is that of a mortal unicorn Greaser, but while he was responsible for creating the Greaser movement in the Second Age, he has a lot of other interests outside of it. Music-wise, while he popularized Rock n' Roll, he dabbled in a large variety of genres such as country, pop, jazz, gospel, and modern rock. His entry notes that his enduring popularity is what inspired the Fourth-Age Greaser movement, and it's noted that he chooses to appear as a unicorn Greaser long after the fad ended in the Second Age because he's usually far too humble to appear in his true Alicorn form. He decides to appear in his Alicorn form more often after accepting it's okay to be prideful, but there are still occasions where he still appears as his mortal self.

* DrivenToSuicide: Narrowly averted. During the early days of his psychological recovery, he was so depressed over his actions and (real and perceived) failures that he ran off in secret to commit suicide. As Blue Suede wasn't repressing his emotions at the time, his sheer despair, regret, and hopelessness caused Bossa Nova to [[AdultFear freak out]] when he [[TwinTelepathy felt them]]. Fortunately, Blue Suede was found thanks to precognitive deities like Shamrock Bloom, with things coming full circle as Shamrock successfully [[TalkingDownTheSuicidal persuaded his godfather not to jump off a cliff]], just like how Blue Suede helped him recover after his suicide attempt. It's likely that due to being a god, Blue Suede likely wouldn't be harmed much even if he did go through with it, but by Blue Suede's own admission, he wasn't "thinking straight" at the time.

* ElvisHasLeftThePlanet: InUniverse. Because he suddenly left Ponyland after his 'farewell' concert and didn't return for quite some time, multiple conspiracy theories popped up. One theory depicted him as a descendant of alien "Visitors" who returned to the planet of his ancestors.

* {{Fainting}}:

** He caused Queen Aoide, born Melody, to faint after meeting him and realizing she's meeting with the greatest musician of the Second Age. Likewise, he caused Princess Cantare, born Starsong Melody, to react the same way.

* ImmortalGenius: He's presently an ancient Alicorn god, and following his re-Ascension as a god of Musical Magic [[spoiler:and a reincarnation 'clone' of Mana Equus]], he became one of the most powerful musical spellcasters in the world. Thanks to his experiences with being a Music god, he was able to go far beyond what his Musical Magic domain would have normally allowed and create new spells for it. He even incorporated the Empire of Malrègnar's version of dark magic into his sorcerous arsenal. It's noted that he has been working with his former student, Queen Aoide Mousikós, in helping the Musical Ponies expand on their tribal magic to make up for any knowledge lost during the Third Age's end.

** Both he and a then-recently Ascendant Princess Brightglow tutored his then-mortal godson, Shamrock Bloom, in how to Ascend to godhood, which eventually led to him becoming an Alicorn. By Shamrock's admission, he didn't think he would be able to do such a thing, and [[{{Fainting}} fainted]] when he realized he actually succeeded.

* PosthumousSibling: Double-subverted. He was originally the younger of identical twins, but his older brother, Bossa Nova, came out stillborn, just like what happened to Music/ElvisPresley's older twin brother, Jesse Garon Presley. While Bossa Nova is still 'alive' in a sense, the fact that he became an 'Angel of Death' under [[NonIronicClown Gavisus Manes]] (and later, a Death god of the Trimortidae) means he's still technically dead, as his very nature is tied to the afterlife realms his adoptive father and relatives watch over. Meeting Bossa Nova as an adult in the Second Age overwhelmed Blue Suede so much that he [[{{Fainting}} fainted]], though they would become close after a rocky start.

* IdenticalTwinIDTag: Due to being identical twin brothers, he and Bossa Nova look almost exactly the same in both their mortal and divine forms, save for a few differences - he has a dark blue mane and tail, and his Cutie Mark depicts a red, heart-shaped guitar. His true form as an Alicorn god has wings with a dark blue gradient, and his hair is made of dark blue energy soundwaves with light blue musical bars and notes running through them. His Cutie Mark has the same halo of notes as Bossa Nova's does, except the guitar part of his Cutie Mark is flanked with white wings instead of black. The fact that they're identical twins initially caused Temnobog to assume that [[TheDividual they were magically separated in the womb]] by their own father until they confirmed that no, they were just born that way.

However, the mask started cracking by the time Stoltur noticed how often Blue Suede [[HeroicSelfDeprecation puts himself down]] and warns everyone of what's happening. And once cornered and confronted on his issues, Blue Suede has a meltdown, ranting about how everyone either abused him or blindly put him on a pedestal and expected him to live up to it, which leads to his near-transformation into a Fallen Alicorn.

** Later on, after recovering from his psychological trauma and accepting it's okay to feel pride, he would be crowned as Prince Caerulus Melodia Equestria in a divine coronation, during which he gained a new epithet, "The Humble Sovereign". It relates to how, despite his new status as an Alicorn Prince, he still remains humble and kind, though he now practices true humility by accepting his flaws and living with them so long as he regulates them.

* MakeSomeNoise: As the Alicorn god of Music, he can use sonokinetic magic, which allows him to manipulate sounds in general. He can unleash [[MakeMeWannaShout powerful, disorienting screams]], induce vertigo in his opponents, [[MindControlMusic hypnotize people with his singing]], create violent earthquakes by sending powerful soundwaves through the ground, making powerful shockwaves to damage and blow back enemies, [[MasterOfIllusion creating sound-based illusions]], and nullifying sound indefinitely either to [[PerceptionFilter mask his own presence]] or make someone unable to create sounds of their own, effectively making them deaf and mute. However, Blue loathes using the latter ability as it robs them of their ability to listen to (and enjoy) his music. His entry notes that since his sonokinetic magic can be used without relying on his magitech guitar, he can still have an advantage should he lose his guitar somehow. Later on, after [[TookALevelInBadass exploring his domains and himself as a person]], he would manifest his sound magic as [[{{Vibroweapon}} pure magical vibrations]] he can use to pinpoint weaknesses and shatter various objects with them by matching their vibration frequencies, such as structures, weapons, and even [[ArmorPiercingAttack armor]].

* MasculineFeminineGayCouple: He forms one with his husband, Prince Stoltur Skjöldur. Being a god of Pride, Stoltur is vain, bold, and assertive, while Caerulus, a god of Humility, is more empathetic, sensitive, and merciful. However, it's zigzagged as while Stoltur is the dominant partner, he has been helping Caerulus build his self-esteem by taking turns in being dominant/submissive during sex and encouraging him to take lead in general. This is extremely beneficial for Caerulus, who went through a particularly bad TraumaCongaLine that all but destroyed his sense of self-worth by the time he got out of it.

* LargeAndInCharge: He's described as a tall and [[HotGod handsome]] Alicorn god who's taller than Queen Dazzleglow. After being crowned as Prince Caerulus Melodia Equestria and joining the Equestrian Pantheon, he essentially became a divine sovereign whose duties involve watching over Equestria and protecting its residents.

* LikeBrotherAndSister: His relationship with his first wife, Venerable Grace. Because his heart was set on [[FirstLove Record Beat]], he didn't love Venerable Grace romantically and instead saw her as "the sister [he] never had" throughout their marriage. They remained close friends after their divorce, and three Ages later, he offered Venerable Grace's spirit to become a godmother for his infant son, Prince Perfect Tone, partially for this reason.

* MagicMusic: As the Alicorn god of Music, he holds an extremely impressive mastery over music in general, which isn't surprising considering his origins. While he can use his music to calm and soothe listeners like Mier, Blue's entry notes that he can also inspire joy and hope in his listeners. Other techniques include [[SuperEmpowering empowering people physically and magically]], dispelling the effects of fear and hatred-based spells, generating solid magic constructs of musical bars and notes to slam and crush enemies, [[CombatTentacles growing soundwave "tentacles"]] to restrain and strangle his opponents, [[EnergyWeapon firing beams of musical energy]], and [[HealingHands healing]]. While he does run into the problem of people suffering from deafness and/or hearing problems, Blue is creative enough to try get around this disability by stomping the ground (or any surface, really) so they could "feel" his music and allow the magic to take effect. For wide-scale effects, he can generate an energy-based stage and extra magic instruments for fellow musicians to play with, allowing his magic to reach farther than ever. The Dazzling Divas' entries reveal that he can [[SuperEmpowering turn people into his Clerics and grant them the ability to use music-related magic through his Music domain]], allowing the Dazzling Divas to perform greater feats when calling upon his power.

* ThePowerOfRock: Justified. As the [[AnthropomorphicPersonification Alicorn god of Music]], he holds an extreme mastery over Music in general and can use it in a large variety of ways, whether for a supportive role or an offensive role. Most of his music-related abilities can be channeled through his primary weapon, [[InstrumentOfMurder a heart-shaped magitech guitar]]. After turning the [[MagicalGirlWarrior Dazzling Divas]] into his Clerics during a particularly difficult battle, all of them gained the ability to use his songs to cast spells, including his rock songs, which Sonic Song and Shadow Song have both applied.
