* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Sees herself as this; she wonders aloud if anyone would bother welcoming her home if there were no one else accompanying her. This isn't true though, especially with [[BisSisterWorship Howe]].

* BadassCreed: Her crew's motto ''Belli Dura Despicio''[[note]]translates to "I despise the hard knocks of war."[[/note]] made it into the game as her skill activation line.

* BabyOfTheBunch: She notes in her self-introduction line that she doesn't have many achievements compared to her sisters and seems to respect her older sisters amongst others (even when she admits Wales and York are oddballs to her). It doesn't help that she also mentions that King George V treating her like a child, to her dismay.

* PrincessCarry: In her character story, she does this to the commander, who was at the time kidnapped by Duke of York.

* BigDamnHeroes: Her entrance in the "Winter Crown" storyline.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: Her ''Trepidation of Destruction" skill causes anything hit by her main guns to take increased damage for a short time.

* HistoricalInJoke: Her 'Concerto of Blood' skill (fire a salvo that slows hit enemy by 40% every 20 seconds) is clearly a reference to her shells firing from her 14-inch main guns that managed to penetrate Scharnhorst's deck and heavily damaged the engine compartment, dramatically slowed the latter down, allow other Royal Navy ships to catch up and finished her off. Scharnhorst with her maximum speed of 30 knots could have easily run away from pursuing Royal Navy fleet in bad weather condition, but said shells ultimately sealed her fate.
** While she is playful, she is still partially based off Prince Albert (later King George VI), who held the title of Duke of York at the time the ships were built. As such, she still has a high social skills and the reason why she is a vampire ship.

** She's a vampire ship, including talking of eternal night, asking how sweet the Commander's blood could taste, and her second skin being heavily vampire themed. Doubles as a subtle reference to how her historical inspiration narrowly survived the London bombing of 1940, "rising" from the ruins of the city, in addition to how Prince Albert were often bedridden due to major illness but later recovered none worse of wear.

** Her chibi eye color changes to red when she's picked up or she's dancing. Ironically, despite being a vampire, she was the only member of her class that didn't have ''permanently'' red eyes, until the blue-eyed Howe was released.

* StalkerWithACrush: Sort of. Normally she didn't show to stalk her Commander often, but during King George V's story, she did "kidnap" the Commander for unknown reason (she might have been monitoring his activity before).

* WhatBeautifulEyes: Not hers, but the Commander's, at least from her point of view. She makes several references to how entrancing they are

* AntiArmor: "Monarch's Coercion" fires a barrage of special AP shells that have a higher than normal damage modifier against heavy armor.

* CoolSword: Subverted. Despite her half-sisters each carrying one, and her accessory looking like one, she actually carries a cane that looks a little like a sword. She switches it out for a parasol in her [[UsefulNotes/{{Qipao}} "Black Gerard"]] skin. ''Pledge of the Radiant Court'' implies that she either carries one that isn't shown, or that her cane is indeed a sword-cane.
* CriticalStatusBuff: Her "Against the Current" skill will increase her reload more at low HP.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Sees herself as this; she wonders aloud if anyone would bother welcoming her home if there were no one else accompanying her. This isn't true though, especially with Howe.

* GreenEyedMonster: Towards the King George Class, due to their design being chosen ahead of hers (due to the tonnage imposed by the Naval Treaties of the time) and consequently never being built.
* HitboxDissonance: Although the number of shells depicted is accurate, the animation for "Monarch's Coercion" does not accurately reflect its actual area of effect. The animation makes it appear to cover about the width of the screen when in reality its actually more concentrated in the area directly in front of Monarch's position. In particular the two shells at each edge of the animation appear to do no damage because they aren't actually landing where they're shown.

* LastChanceHitPoint: Her "Against the Current" skill will also upon being reduced below 20% HP, restore some health over a few seconds (total 12%) once per battle. This is regardless of skill level.

* ShoutOut: Her "Against the Current" skill is one to ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarships'' "Adrenaline Rush" captain skill [[note]]-0.2% to reload times of all weapons for each 1% of total health lost[[/note]] and "Repair Party" consumable.
* SuperPrototype: Downplayed as while a paper ship like the rest, there's only small changes compared to her sisters in the KGV class. This is probably due to mishmash design made by Lesta/Wargaming, as noted in ArtisticLicenseHistory.

* ArtisticLicenseHistory: Besides the main guns, the historical Design 15C that Monarch's supposedly based on has quite a few design differences to the finalized King George V. Lesta/Wargaming, however, made the Monarch by pretty much plopping 15C's 15" guns onto the finalized KGV hull, with only other differences being the mast, AA armaments, and catapult. Monarch also has lattice mast, which is not used in any other Royal Navy ships, and in post-[=WW2=] Royal Navy were applied only to light cruisers, never battleships.[[note]]This being because the Royal Navy didn't start using lattice masts until the 1950s, and the few battleships that remained in service post-WW2 only received minor refits before their retirement.[[/note]]

* ArtisticLicenseHistory: They can equip light cruiser guns as secondaries even though historically they never did[[note]]The class use uniform batteries of 5.25in/133mm DP guns as secondaries, like how US Battleships only uses 5in/127mm DP guns (after refits for US Standards)[[/note]].

* BoobsOfSteel: Fitting for a Battleship, and a [[SuperPrototype Prototype]] ship at that, she is very well endowed.

* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Sees herself as this; she wonders aloud if anyone would bother welcoming her home if there were no one else accompanying her. This isn't true though, especially with Howe.

* {{Tsundere}}: Very much one, along with twintails to match.

* UndignifiedDeath: In reference to being sunk by U-47 at Scapa Flow.

* MegaTwintails: Much like her guns and chest, they're quite sizable going down to around her feet after having some minor drill shaping at the ends.

* ACupAngst: Implied in her maid skin's Special Touch line. Vanguard is no slouch herself, but cannot hope to compare with many of the girls on the Royal Navy's Maid Team- whose most famous members are known for [[BuxomIsBetter big bust sizes]]- in this regard.

* AnimalMotif: Dogs, specifically corgis. Her hair is meant to resemble the ears of a corgi[[note]]specifically a [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pembroke_Welsh_Corgi Pembroke Welsh Corgi]][[/note]], and just like corgis, she's the loyal companion of a British queen named [[UsefulNotes/HMTheQueen Elizabeth]].

* ShesGotLegs: Every one of her skins does a good job of showing off her nice, long legs, especially her base skin with its ZettaiRyouiki.
