* OverlyLongName: His full name/title, as revealed by Melody in issue #7, is "Lord Cute-ington, Duke of Kittenshire, First of his name, Cat-leesi of the Great Litter Sea."

* SkunkStripe: As is traditional for her.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Her hair is purple -- which is a bit of an AdaptationDyeJob, as her hair was ''pink'' in the classic comics.

** Jughead is ''furious'' when he learns Archie only went on his camping trip not to reconnect, but to look at girls, to the point where he outright ''tackles'' him. Then when Archie accidentally insults his {{Asexuality}}, Jughead first reacts with StunnedSilence then coldly brushes off Archie's attempts to apologize for the mistake.

* {{Asexuality}}: Discussed in-story between himself and Kevin Keller. In his solo-series he's hinted at having a little bit of angst (or at the very least, some insecurity) over it. For example [[StunnedSilence his reaction]] to Archie (who was angry at the time) [[OpenMouthInsertFoot accidentally insulting]] him over his lack of a libido and his sheer panic over [[spoiler: his date with Sabrina.]] Near the end of [[spoiler: the date]] he looks like he's about to come out as Asexual to her, and seems incredibly nervous as he works himself up to it, but gets interrupted before he gets the chance.

* AnimalTalk: It's hinted, though not really stated, that this incarnation of Salem isn't actually speaking English. He understands English perfectly, and both Sabrina and her aunts understand what he is saying... but if ''Archie #706'' is anything to go by, anyone else just hears normal cat sounds.

* OnlySaneWoman: Definitely the most grounded of the Pussycats, which paradoxically gives her the most CrazyAwesome moments of them. Where Josie recognizes that she lives in a ridiculous comic book world and likes to snark about it, and Melody points out tropes and plays FourthWallObserver for all it's worth, Valerie actively uses the ridiculousness to her advantage, like pulling off impossible stunts and claiming it's due to "comic book science."

The overly strict and unforgiving principal of Riverdale High.

* OnlySaneWoman: Definitely the most grounded of the Pussycats, which paradoxically gives her the most CrazyAwesome moments of them. Where Josie recognizes that she lives in a ridiculous comic book world, Valerie actively uses the ridiculousness to her advantage.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She's never ''intentionally'' malicious, but she can be very thoughtless and self-centered, which can lead to her taking other people for granted, or even using them for her own ends. When called out on it, though, she always realizes she's behaved badly and tries to make amends

* AbusiveParents: The emotional abusive type. His father is a "[[SmallNameBigEgo important journalist]]" who doesn't make time for his son and his mother neglects him by focusing on her various fundraisers.

Reggie's pet dachshund, who thinks the world of him.

* LoveAtFirstSight: Archie mentioned he fell for Ronnie like this. Since first laying eyes on her, Archie has spent pretty much the entirety of the series chasing after her and trying to impress her. Eventually, Archie and Veronica become an OfficialCouple and they are currently the only true romantic couple in canon.

* YourCheatingHeart: [[spoiler:Hooks up with Dilton behind Moose's back in the ''Archie'' series.]]

* {{Adorkable}}: Archie can fall into this from time to time. Since he's endearingly awkward and clumsy at times, it's very fitting. It also helps that despite being the most popular boy in Riverdale and someone who's considered to be a ChickMagnet who has no issue with attracting members of the opposite sex, he's surprisingly awkward with girls sometimes, but this just adds to Archie's charm.

* {{Adorkable}}: More so in his solo than in the main comic, due to his crazy imagination being front and center.

* AdaptationalHeroism: She hasn't lost any of her trademark cattiness, but her DamselScrappy tendencies are dropped in favor of a more ActionGirl approach to problems.

* AmbiguouslyBrown: DependingOnTheArtist he us sometimes depicted with slightly dark skin but no clues are given as to his ethnicity. The TV series Riverdale ran with this and interpreted him as an Asian American.

* BiTheWay: She's mostly into girls, but has been known to show attraction to the odd boy as well.

* BiTheWay: It's not called into attention at all, but if her dating site info is to be believed, she's open to dating both men and women.

* RichBitch: At first. With CharacterDevelopment, Veronica becomes more SpoiledSweet, someone who is willing to share her wealth with her friends and other people.

* SpoiledSweet: His family's wealth could have corrupted him, but they lost everything. As a result, he would up pretty easygoing, and snobby rich people are one of his major dislikes.

* OutOfFocus: In the main ''Archis'' series. While he's Sabrina's constantly sarcastic companion both in the ''Jughead'' and the ''Sabrina the Teenage Witch'' series, he has a smaller role in the main series, not even appearing until Sabrina's been a regular for half a year.

* EarlyInstalmentWeirdness: In their first appearance in the ''Jughead'' comics, they're pretty much the same as their original comic selves; stereotypical cartoon witches with limited understanding for Sabrina's desire to fit in with the modern world, even holding the view that it's pointless for Sabrina to even go to school since she can use magic to get whatever she wants. By the time the ''Sabrina'' comic starts, though, they have been completely redesigned and read more like an amalgamation of their counterparts from [[Series/SabrinaTheTeenageWitch the 1990s series]] and ''Series/ChillingAdventuresOfSabrina''. The only thing that's carried over from that first appearance is their FatAndSkinny design, and even that's downplayed as Hilda is more pleasantly plump than actually fat.

* DependingOnTheArtist: In the ''Jughead'' comic he's depicted as a black-and-white tuxedo cat, much like his classic incarnation. In the ''Sabrina'' comic he's pure black, like he was in the TV series.

* OutOfFocus: In the main series. While he's Sabrina's companion both in the ''Jughead'' and the ''Sabrina the Teenage Witch'' series, he has yet to appear in the ''Archie'' title, despite Sabrina getting more focus as Archie's secret girlfriend. Might be justified in that Sabrina seems to be keeping her relationship with Archie a complete secret, and Salem ''did'' have that "ensuring that there are no survivors" solution mentioned above...

* DependingOnTheArtist: To a bigger degree than pretty much any other characters in the 'verse; it reaches YouDontLookLikeYou levels when in their one-panel cameo in the ''Jughead'' comic, they look more like their classic comic selves... but in the ''Sabrina'' comic they have been completely redesigned and taken more of a HotWitch appearance. The only thing that's carried over is their FatAndSkinny design, and even that's downplayed as Hilda is more pleasantly plump than actually fat.

* GranolaGirl: They can come across as this, Zelda especially.
