Sure, he wasn't really the nicest character to begin with if some of the aforementioned tropes are any indication, but I don't think the Nicolas that we saw in "Big Trouble in Little Langley" would've forced everyone in his family to fight each other to the death over something so minor and petty (like using their own separate phone networks instead of the one he setup).
