However, '''''[[GameBreaker that gun does almost as or as much damage as most regular Special Weapons (except the Ninja Beam)]]''''', and because it's the main gun, it has infite ammo! His plane also has the best missile type (Phoenix), and the Chaff is Air Mines. About the only thing unspectacular in his arsenal is his Special Weapon, the rather cumbersome Fae, which is still good against bosses. This makes Spanky the best boss killer in the game. Makes sense since you have to fully beat the game to unlock him. Or use a cheat. To make him even more awesome, this means the little guy's awesome in [[ThatOneLevel the "Air Battle" and "Fortress levels!]]

All you have to do is figure out why the translators felt justified in that. Making matters more difficult is that different ending pictures depict them as male ''or'' female. ''And'', in Sonic Wings, Angela uses [[{{Bokukko}} male pronouns]]. The best example of the situation is to compare their endings with Hien and Ellen. Pay close attention to how [[GodivaHair their hair is falling in each one]]...

She has a "regular" gun, the best missile type (Phoenix), good Chaff, and the '''''[[GameBreaker Ninja]] [[WaveMotionGun Beam.]]''''' Her plane is also quite fast, so while it does require a bit of good maneuvering, it is excellent for staging hit-and-run attacks, as well as the defense special missions.
