[[ImplacableMan Grimlock]] then goes after [[BigBad Megatron]] himself, ''shrugging off several shots from Megatron's [[{{BFG}} fusion cannon]]''.

* A minor CMoA comes for Wreck-Gar when he is abducted by the Quintesson scientist and placed in an immaculate room. Separated from the usual clutter of the planet of Junk ,the Quint expects Wreck-Gar to have a breakdown. Instead, he simply tears strips off the wall until it's nice and junkified again.

* The titular Return of Optimus Prime.

* Starscream's [[spoiler:suicide-by-Galvatron]] is probably a crowning moment of TearJerker as well. In a last-ditch attempt to make him see the threat of Unicron [[spoiler:he goes up against Galvatron and the powerful Star Saber with nothing but his own sword; standing up to him literally and metaphorically for the first time in the series. And then he lets Galvatron ''impale him just to make a point''.]]

* No mention of Inferno [[spoiler:fighting off Megatron's mind tainting power for several episodes, (failing eventually,), and eventually saving Starscream from falling into an Energon sun and sacrificing himself? And then he comes back, rebuilt as Roadblock, riding upon one out of many Energon Towers.]]

* Landmine's first use of his Cyber Key, and his "[[{{Main/BlownAway}} Cyber Tempest]]" attack.

* The Autobots were fleeing Earth with the Omega Lock and Cyber Planet Keys via a space bridge, when Starscream shows up, smashes through the lot of them with a FoeTossingCharge (getting one of his blades snapped off in the process) and finally gets his hands on the Omega Lock when Optimus Prime shows up for round 2. Starscream takes everything Optimus throws at him, and in the fight he and the Omega Lock get thrown off the space bridge. As Optimus dives for the Omega Lock, Starscream realises Optimus' one weakness, and fires a missile at the kids, who were watching from the ground. Optimus dashes off to save the kids, whilst Starscream swipes the lock and keys and hightails it out of there. A definite CMoA for him if this troper ever saw one.

* Primus' second beatdown of Starscream after Starscream [[{{Main/MakeMyMonsterGrow}} grows to match him in size]]. Primus blasts Starscream numerous times, then [[{{Main/ImprovisedWeapon}} converts his own moons into]] [[{{Main/EpicFlail}} flails]] and beats the tar out of Starscream. That said, it's also a CMoA for Starscream, both for going giant and for [[RevengeOfTheFallen having the balls]] to pick a fight with the Transformer equivilent of God.

* Megatron's revenge. He calls upon the [[MacGuffin Cyber Planet Keys]] to become Galvatron, and hands all of the Autobots their tailpipes singlehandedly - even Metroplex, whose ankle he barely comes up to. While giving ShoutOuts to TransformersTheMovie. ("Such heroic nonsense!")

* The Giant Planet trio get a group CMOA. A massive chunk of rock knocked loose by the Galvatron/Starscream duel threatens to fall on the kids. First Quickmix and Menasor jump at it in unison and use their giant spinning drill/drum appendages to cut it down to size, and then Metroplex shields the humans from the remaining debris with his own body. And still has something witty to say afterwards.

* The last leg of Optimus Prime's final battle with Galvatron. Optimus gets back on his feet, drawing Vector Prime's sword Rhisling, parries Galvatron's blow, and gives Galvatron a [[{{Main/TheReasonYouSuckSpeech}} The Reason You Suck Speech]]. Then the first [[{{Main/TransformersTheMovie}} Transformers The Movie]] [[{{Main/Homage}} homage]] comes in.

** Virtually every single move Optimus Prime delivers in that fight is a CMoA. Towards the beginning, Starscream jumps at him from behind, and Optimus simply turns around and catches him by the throat in midair. Without letting go, Optimus then kicks Megatron out of the way almost as an afterthought, then lifts Starscream up to kicking height, upside-down, and gets him right in the face. As a result, every move administered to Starscream is a CMoF.

** It should also be noted that [[spoiler:during his previously stated BigDamnHeroes moment in the big battle, he had killed Mixmaster by slicing him in half with his cane then decaptitating him with his cane followed by killing Scorponok by crushing his head with his fist after Scorponok had drilled into his innards.]]

* Though a painful EpicFail moment for fans of Devastator, it is a testament to just how brave and honorable a man Ex-Sector-Seven Agent Simmons is when he climbs ''right next to the 100 foot giant Decepticon'' so [[spoiler:the US military can pinpoint EXACTLY WHERE to fire their prototype railgun into the Steel Beast, preventing it from exhuming the Sun-Destroyer.]]

* The entire episode "Decepticon Air" was one massive CMOA for Optimus Prime. Basically by him doing his best DieHard [[DieHardOnAnX imitation]].
* Ratchet for putting Sentinel Prime in his place by [[spoiler:getting Ultra Magnus' Hammer back from Shockwave, taking it with him to Earth, and bringing Jazz with him to stay.]]

** Heck, Ratchet telling Ultra Magnus (and later Sentinel Prime [[spoiler:as acting Magnus]]) exactly how unethical and generally dickish they were being counts as a CMoA, because they sorely had it coming.

** [[spoiler:Optimus Prime taking the Magnus Hammer and using it to blow the Omega Supreme clones away, ''disabling'' one in the process.]]
** [[spoiler:Bulkhead for taking down Shockwave almost single-handedly (Bumblebee helped... a little).]]

*** Just Megatron Saying his name, after not even knowing who he is, nor caring, counts.
** [[spoiler:Prowl and Jazz use Processor Over Matter to gather the remaining Allspark pieces together from all around the city (killing Starscream in the process), and when they prove not to be enough, Prowl sacrifices his life to create a barrier powerful enough to contain the explosion of one of the Omega Clones, but taking one final moment to pull Optimus ''out'' of the field before the bomb goes off.]]

* Professor Sumdak mocking the Headmaster's {{Totally Radical}} tendencies when the Autobots' ambush is revealed. "I believe the phrase is, total ownage, noob!"

* An example from ''Energon.'' [[SoBadItsHorrible Yes, we're surprised too]]. Scorponok tries to use a sword formed from Megatron's own spark to put an end to him for good. It appears that he can't fight back on account of being a corpse stuck in a wall, but at the last moment, Megatron absorbs the sword back into himself, siphons energon from Unicron's own body, and bursts out of his old form in a kick ass new form. Then he proceeds to beat the living hell out of Scorponok, and then once he's a quivering heap on the floor, he effectively brands Scorponok with the Decepticon symbol.

* Grimlock Leading the Dinobots to attack Unicron from behind, and giving the planet eater a litireal ass-kicking. Also managing to do more damage than anyone other than Hot Rod/Rodimus to Unicron in the process!

* In the original series episode ''Starscream's Brigade'' Starscream is kicked out by Megatron, and proceeds to create the Combaticons and with these 5 allies, comes within inches of defeating the entire Deception army, and has Megatron on the verge of surrender before the ''deus ex machina'' prevents his triumph.

* "The Return of Optimus Prime" features (durr) the return of Optimus Prime (see above). It also features something called a "HatePlague" which is passed on by touch and drives the infected insane with hatred (mostly, people are also driven to infect others, and are just a little bit loopy when infect - Ultra Magnus cackles while chasing Rodimus etc). Galvatron is scared witless by the plague (before infection). It's stated that it's spreading across the galaxy (and maybe the universe). The only uninfected are (by the end of the part one cliffhanger) Galvatron, Sky Lynx an unnamed Quintesson and a small handful of Autobots (who were all wounded by a maddened Superior). Yeap. No Magnus. No Rodimus. Even the citibots have been defeated or offlined. And the plague is still spreading. By the end of the story only the reborn Optimus and the Quintesson are uninfected (and Optimus has special armour keeping him sane, he'd be maddened as well without the armour). Cue Optimus realising the wisdom beats hate. And unleashing the full power of the Matrix to the roaring tunes of "The Touch" by Stan Bush.

* In the second to last episode where [[spoiler:Cheetor is the ONLY Maximal left functioning and is exhausted, weakened and beaten to crap...and then takes out Thrust, Obsidian AND Strika by himself. First by sending Obsidian and Strika into space and then going one on one with Thrust. During a final struggle he grabs one of the spark extractors and then rips out Thrust's.]]
* Say what you will about CharacterDerailment, but Megatron's actions in The Weak Component have always seemed, to this Troper, his highlight as a character. [[spoiler:Crippled and isolated, his army disabled, Megatron is on the verge of defeat by the Maximals...but he uses their divisions against them, to recruit Rattrap for one night and to buy time to regain his strength. And in the end, once he COULD destroy the Maximals, he doesn't...not so much for honour as because he made a bet, he lost, and he always did enjoy gambling. It really highlights BW Megatron at his charismatic, plotting, gambling, megalomaniac best.]]
* The final episode is just one big Crowning Moment of Awesome with the [[spoiler:Optimus Primal vs Optimal Optimus body Megatron fight culminating in Optimus sacrificing himself to destroy Megatron (Megatron's giant facial expressions of fear are incredible!) and to reformat Cybertron.]]

** Of course, any time The Punch works, it's a CMOA for Lugnut. Lugnut is usually left standing in a crater. Nobody ''else'' will still be standing.

"The question that has haunted my being has been answered: The future is not fixed. My choices are my own. And yet, how ironic, for I now find I have no choice at all. I am a warrior. Let the battle be joined." He then fights Megatron and the Predacons with a ''rock on a stick'' and makes it look good.
** This Troper considers it the crowning moment of awesome for the entire ''franchise'', let alone the series.
*** Screw franchise, it was one of the best moments of western animation.
** A personal favorite moment:
---> Quickstrike: "What's a warrior without... weapons, huh?"
---> Dinobot: "A warrior still!" * punches him out*
** What made it even more awesome was the fact he beat them all even though he wasn't a Transmetal.
** Megatron's speech to him, and how he says it, after Dinobot took out all the other Predacons deserves a mention: "My ears are burning yeees...why Dinobot, what a delightful surprise! Let's see, where are we now? I have the Golden Disc. I have the power to change the future. And the only remaining obstacle in my path to unimaaaaginable glory...is yourself. Exhausted, damaged beyond recovery...defeated." The fact that he was wrong about that last bit kind of deflates Megatron.
*** This troper is disappointed that you left out the crowning moment ''of'' the crowning moment: [[spoiler:Dinobot's truly and utterly epic HeroicSacrifice.]]

** There's a piggybacking CMOA with the hominid who finds Dinobot's stone hammer. He uses it to open a coconut. The snake from the beginning of the episode rears up to attack. The hominid whirls to face it and accidentally bashes the snake in the head, stunning/killing it. Either way, it goes down hard. The hominid looks at the weapon in his hand with sheer awe, then lifts it to the sky and shouts in triumph as the camera zooms up away from him into space. Of all the characters in Beast Wars, Dinobot would appreciate the irony of that the most, as he seems to be the one with the most knowledge of human culture, quoting Shakespeare among other things.
*** Said hominid TookALevelInBadass after that. When Megatron sends a pack of cyber raptors out as a test, they end up separating him from two kids in his tribe. Later on, when Cheetor, Blackarachnia, Optimus, and Silverbolt are pinned down by the same raptors while bringing the kids home, the hominid pops out of nowhere and ''kills one''. Granted, he hit the control unit and it's not like he knew that would do the trick, but it was still badass considering he had fought it once before and ran.
* A decade after the Beast Era has come to a close, at BotCon 2010, voted by fans over monumental characters like Grimlock, Soundwave, Shockwave, and Jazz, THE WARRIOR'S toy joined the Hall of Fame, the greatest of Hasbro.
* Ravage has two such moments in ''Beast Wars''
## During his intro, he ''blasts the weapons out of all the Maximals' hands while cloaked''.
## Then, when he switches sides, transforming into his cassette mode (with the classic sound effect) and blaring a rock ballad as his ship starts blasting (only thing that would've made it even more badass would be if the original Transformers theme played...something that ''would've'' happened, had the show's creators gained the rights to it).
* Also in The Agenda, the Maximals are holed up in the Axalon, their shields being pummeled by a vastly superior Predacon warship and Rampage. Rattrap finally gets sick of waiting, and everyone's favorite [[NinjaPirateZombieRobot spy/demolitions expert/gunner/]]JerkWithAHeartOfGold then proceeds to drive off a conventient ramp made of debris, out the ship, into the air, where he lands on the enemy ship and tries to burn his way in with a futuristic welding torch... and when THAT fails, he transforms into a "stainless steel rat" and CHEWS his way through, just as Tarantulas is arming the ship's ludicrously oversized missile of death. He greets Tarantulas with "a pair of belly bombs with your name right on them... eat 'em and weep!" Tarantulas FREAKS OUT as he is blown up ([[IGotBetter he got better]]), and the 4+ million year old Decepticon warrior Ravage defiantly meets his end as he is caught in the blast (he didn't get better... [[ItsAllThereInTheManual or did he?]]), THEN as the ship plummets out of control, Rattrap rides the [[FreudWasRight giant missile]] ala [[DrStrangelove Slim Pickins]], and the ship stops it crashing jusssst before it crushes Rampage. * In ''BeastWars'', Rhinox was built on the Crowning Moments of Awesome. First and foremost was the entirety of the episode where Megatron turned him into a Predacon and Rhinox proceeded to use his intelligence to tear apart the entirety of the Predacons in his attempt to become their leader.
** He wasn't doing that to become leader. It was all [[ForTheEvulz for the Evulz]].
** For me, Rhinox's greatest moment was the entire episode "Dark Journey," where he, Cheetor, Rattrap, and Dinobot are blinded far away from the base. Rhinox keeps his head far better than any of the others and leads them a good part of the way home so they can be rescued. The trip also involves him flinging a giant snake into the distance, and meditating to tell the others where to aim when Waspinator and Terrosaur attack.
* And then there was Waspinator's brief crowning moment of awesome where he defected from the Predacons--about five minutes from when the other Predacons were killed in one fashion or another. The last shown of the series shows him [[spoiler:being worshiped by the protohumans. "Waspinator happy at last."]]

* Basically any scene where Rampage gets to appear and show just what he's made of. From taking a brutal amount of firepower to slugging it out with Depth Charge.
* Any scene where Depth Charge gets to show up and kick ass.
* Let's combine the two and have Depth Charge [[spoiler:driving a spike of raw energon through Rampage's spark--and Rampage ''letting him'' with a maddened laugh.]]
** Depth Charge's [[spoiler:final speech is a masterpiece of Crowning Awesome -- hammy and over-the-top and yet so cool. "RAW Energon, right through your twisted Spark...take it to the pit you sickening piece of slaaag!" It's also notable as the ONLY time in Beast Wars, and one of the very few times in Transformers full stop, that a Maximal (or Autobot) actually kills one of the bad guys.]]
* A double-whammy with a scene between Depth Charge and Optimus Primal during Feral Rage. [[spoiler:Optimus's nerves are being worn after his chum Cheetor has been involved in a freak-accident that's left him mutated, near dead and missing. Depth Charge was present, but he's not giving any answers. Optimus orders him to tell him what really happened, to which Depth Charge replies "You hauled me in for THAT? Ask the cat.", before turning to leave. Tempers flare as Optimus yells at him, only for Depth Charge to yell back. Keep in mind that Depth Charge's whole hand is as wide as a few of Optimus's fingers, to lend scale. Optimus finally loses it and forcibly shoves Depth Charge into the wall and threatens to rip his brain out and find out what happened manually. For the first time in the series Optimus has really lost his temper with a crew member to the point of violence, and his victim is half his size. How does Depth Charge reply? With a cool and sarcastic "Well, since you asked so nicely...". Optimus finally losing it on insolent crew members (and on Depth Charge in particular, who is a complete ass to everyone.) coupled with Depth Charge refusing to lose his cool in the face of an angry Autobot-sized robot makes for a great moment of awesome for two characters.]]
* Blackarachnia fights Inferno in 'Other Voices, Part 2'. A little context: Transformers has never been fantastic with female characters, ranging between TheChick to TheDitz. And Inferno, a demented, cackling pyromaniac courtier with giant steel teeth, was awesome. But when he goes up against Blackarachnia she utterly schools him, in one of the best fight scenes in TF history. BA wasn't just the 'token female'; she was smart, capable, strong, and, let's face it, kinda sexy.
** Also: a lot of Proving Grounds falls into this category, with Blackarachnia effortlessly outwitting and outfighting Dinobot II at every turn. When a show runs to sell toys, it means a lot when a cool 'old toy' bashes the hell out of a shiny new one. No wonder she's the quintessential DarkActionGirl.
** Even moreso: Blackarachnia's toy is a purple repaint of Tarantulas. Despite being a spider, she doesn't resemble him even slightly, and guess what color she isn't? At all? She effectively ''didn't have a toy'' when she took on the new toy and won. (''Later'' she'd [[spoiler: get to play with the Transmetal Driver and her new form got a toy.]])
*** From ''that'' episode, her [[spoiler: Transmetal debut]], which was also the first time she transformed with the Maximals' "Maximize" command, signifying her choice to become a full member of the team. You'd have to see it in context, after everything that had happened, but it was quite a moment.
* Blackarachnia gets one in her first episode. Optimus has just been shot out of the sky, so she moves in for the kill. Cheetor shoots the gun out of her hand, so she starts purposefully marching toward him in an UnflinchingWalk. He charges and keeps firing, hitting all of the spider arms from her beast mode. When she's close enough, Blackarachnia hits him with a literal face-breaking kick, flooring him in a single attack. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the series.
* Silverbolt also has one in Proving Grounds: [[spoiler: while pretty much dead on his feet, he uses Dinobot II's hologram generator to fake him out, just like Dinobot II had done to Blackarachnia at the beginning of the fight.]]
* Rattrap taking out Waspinator, Inferno, and Dinobot II with a single ball of mud. All based on the idea of hominid Una, as well.
