It looks like things are over as Galaxia gloats about having Beerus under her control... until Beerus' expression turns into a glare and [[ImmuneToMindControl he swiftly grabs it back]], completely undoing the galactic conqueror's ego before proceeding to ''decimate'' her with one hell of a BadassBoast.

* Right before the actual clash, Obi-Wan [[EyeScream crushes Kakashi's Sharingan]] using the Force. Without missing a beat, the Chidori turns purple, meaning Kakashi immediately switched to the Purple Electricity technique. It's awesome on Kakashi's part, because losing his Sharingan barely slowed him down, on Obi-Wan's part, because he was [[AwesomenessByAnalysis clever enough to figure out that the eye was likely the biggest threat Kakashi had to him]], and on the ANIMATOR's part, [[DoingItForTheArt because they went the extra mile to include that little detail for consistency's sake]], since Purple Electricity is basically a Chidori that Kakashi developed to use without the Sharingan, like in this situation.

* [[BrokenWinLossStreak Jason earned the first victory for the Power Rangers]]! Not only did Jason snap the losing streak for Power Rangers and end Leo's winning streak, he succeeded where [[TheAce Tommy]] couldn't.

* This fight has officially ended DC's winning streak, which has been going on since season 7 ''started''. Bonus points for being a matchup between similar Marvel and DC characters when the previous fights (Miles vs. Static and Cable vs. Booster Gold) ended with the Marvel characters losing.

* Sonic eventually decides that enough is enough, and chooses to tap into the full power of the Chaos Force to erase Wally from existence once and for all. The attack hits dead-on, but Wally manages to pull through. How? [[LivingEmotionalCrutch By using his family as a tether to keep him grounded within reality]], just like how he survived Doctor Manhattan trying to reset the DC Multiverse before. Doubles as a [[Heartwarming/DeathBattle Heartwarming Moment]]. During that scene, Wally's initial take-off for his rush towards Sonic is so fast, it visibly shatters part of the surface of the planetoid he was standing on.

* Meta Example: Just how much the fight pays in homage to both series. The 8-bit music (with hints of both theme songs) and simplistic sprites make it feel like a classic video game and the overall voice acting and cheesy one-liners sound just like something you'd find in both shows. Complete with little touches like Jason unleashing hit-sparks whenever he gets damaged, Leo doing a shell shock and Leo's body blowing up like the classic Power Rangers monster, it truly feels like a crossover between the two series.

* Meta one - Esdeath is the second purely villainous character in the history of whole series to go against a pure hero and ''[[TheBadGuyWins win]]''. Usually, when the more villainous character wins, there is some moral ambiguity to either them, their opponent, [[GreyAndGrayMorality or both.]] A case of a clear villain facing a clear hero and taking the win hasn't happened since Doomsday defeated the Hulk way back in Season 3.

* A meta one: Kestin Howard, Machamp's voice actor, deserves a ton of credit for his performance. Despite only being able to say one word, the Superpower Pokémon's delivery showed off quite the amount of emotion in its inflections, perfectly suiting the passionate and powerful Fighting-Type's personality.

* A meta case: Nicholas Andrew Louie has been a veteran voice actor for Death Battle for a good while, but all the characters he voiced prior[[note]]Sonic, Ben Tennyson(and his aliens), Tommy Oliver and Kakashi[[/note]] have all lost their respective battles when he voiced them. Danny is the first character that Nicholas has voiced that had won his fight.

* Wiz himself notes that he came in fully expecting Archie Sonic to win, noting that with his access to the Chaos Force’s power, immense speed, and literal PlotArmor, the Fastest Thing Alive is essentially impossible to defeat. However, Wally proved that theory wrong. Thanks to the Third Flash’s comparable speed, abilities that could hard-counter Archie Sonic’s own powers, his own tendency to say ScrewDestiny, and a little help from the PowerOfLove, Wally was able to stare a seemingly unstoppable force down and [[DefeatingTheUndefeatable conquer it.]] Doubles as one for Archie Sonic, as Wiz also admits that Wally is likely one of the few characters in existence who ''could'' beat him. Not even ''[[MemeticBadass Segata Sanshiro]]'' could. And in an extra meta moment for Archie Sonic, it was stated in a Q&A that it was a last-minute find that allowed Wally to win, and just barely (They were constantly flip-flopping over whether Sonic or Wally would win). Given how notorious Speed Force users are for being overpowered, the fact that Archie Sonic nearly won anyway against arguably the most powerful of them is a massive achievement in and of itself. You have to give the blue blur props: He may have lost, but he pushed Wally to the limit.

* Three in one meta-wise, in how not only is this a DC-Marvel match-up where the latter comes out on top -- thus proving Winter Soldier vs. Red Hood wasn't just a one-off -- but this is the first win for a Symbiote user since Venom broke Bane back in Season ''Four'' and the first win for a Spider-hero since Peter Parker beat Bruce Wayne... all the way back in Season '''ONE'''.

* Meta one for Sanji, as in both ''WebAnimation/OneMinuteMelee'' and the Community Death Battle, he lost to Lee. Showing a good deal of fans underestimate him, at least compared to Zoro and Luffy. Yet in a fully researched Death Battle, Sanji came out victorious against someone who wielded the same power which beat up Madara and killed All-Might. He’s a part of ''One Piece''’s [[PowerTrio Monster Trio]] for a good reason.

** Broly's triumph is even more awesome on a meta level: despite Son Goku being AlwaysSomeoneBetter to Broly, Broly managed to do what he couldn't by defeating a superhero who's basically a PhysicalGod!

* Enter a flood of Black Blood that ''completely envelops'' the church they were fighting in, with Venom being put on the receiving end of a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown that ends when Crona drives Ragnarok into his chest... and Ragnarok ''screams''. Not only is the symbiote ripped off of Eddie, but ''[[GoryDiscretionShot we don't even see Eddie]]''; we just cut to two souls that Ragnarok grabs and consumes, the fight over.

* Credit to Zuko, he loses, but even when his entire body's frozen in place except for his head, [[DefiantToTheEnd he still tries blowing fire over Todoroki to defeat him.]] His FamousLastWords also qualify.

* Hulk is the very epitome of BringIt! in this episode. It takes a lot of guts to encourage your opponent to let out all their rage against you and Hulk just doesn't cease egging Broly on, actually excited at fighting someone so destructive. One can get the impression that even though he was ultimately killed, Hulk couldn't have chosen a for thrilling way to go.
