Thus, when Naruto realizes he's in love with her, [[{{Irony}} she is completely oblivious to his very obvious feelings]]. When he confesses his love to her, she is incredibly happy about this... [[spoiler:for a moment. She chooses to "reject" him, not because she doesn't reciprocate but because she had already resolved to "accept" Toneri's marriage proposal as a ploy to save Hanabi]]. Of course, it all works out in the end.

** Hinata, because Toneri kidnapped and later blinded her younger sister.

* WeddingDay: This is considered to be the GrandFinale of the manga (given that it's the first {{canon}} movie of the franchise), and ends with [[OfficialCouple Naruto and Hinata]]'s wedding during the ending credits.

** In the Invasion of Pain arc, Shikamaru told Naruto that "eventually, you'll be the one paying for the ramen and someone will be calling ''you'' 'Naruto-sensei'". Nowadays, Naruto is teaching kids some of his moves and treats them to Ichiraku Ramen.

* FirstLove: Hinata is this for Naruto. The movie's {{Tagline}} is even "The last story is the FirstLove."

* LoveRevelationEpiphany: Naruto realizes the true nature of Hinata's feelings for him, and his own for her, after witnessing her feelings for him firsthand when they were trapped in a genjutsu that makes them relive their memories. Considering Kakashi stated in Chapter 314 that Naruto is a kinesthetic/direct learner (someone who learns with his body or by doing, [[LikeFatherLikeSon just like his father Minato]]), this actually makes sense--Naruto ''needed'' to physically walk through his and Hinata's merged memories to finally understand both her feelings and his own.

After he realizes he's in love with Hinata, he sets aside Kushina's scarf in favor of Hinata's red scarf, which signifies his desire to become independent from Kushina and move on from his past so that he could properly pursue a relationship with Hinata[[note]]He still keeps her green scarf neatly folded in his backpack, showing that although he does want to be independent from Kushina, he'll always love her and cherish her scarf no matter what[[/note]].

* FinaleMovie: While Naruto would continue to appear in later spinoffs, particularly ''Manga/{{Boruto}}'', this movie serves as the last installment of the ''Franchise/{{Naruto}}'' franchise with Naruto as the main character and has him finally learn about Hinata's feelings for him as well as discovering that he likes her back.

** Early in the series, Haku asked a rookie Naruto this: ''"You said you wanted to become the best Ninja in your village and have everyone acknowledge you. In the movie, it's been two years since the events of the Fourth Shinobi World War and the moon begins to descend towards the Earth. With the moon now a meteor that would destroy everything on impact, an older Naruto must deal with this new threat. Meanwhile, a mysterious man tries to kidnap Hinata Hyuga, and her younger sister and heiress of the Hyuga clan, Hanabi. Albeit the former manages to escape with Naruto's help before she's taken. The name of the man is Toneri Otsutsuki, a descendent of Kaguya. Naruto, Hinata, Sakura, Sai and Shikamaru are deployed to get Hanabi back, while the rest of the shinobi world try to find a way to stop the moon from crashing on Earth.

''The Last: Naruto the Movie'' is the tenth ''Franchise/{{Naruto}}'' film, the [[LuckySeven seventh]] ''Naruto Shippuden'' film, and the first {{Canon}} film in the franchise.

* NoHuggingNoKissing: After being played straight for 700 chapters in the manga, this trope ''finally'' gets [[AvertedTrope kicked in the ass]] in this movie. Creator/MasashiKishimoto, who never wrote any on-page romance in the manga due to his self-admitted embarrassment, attended the premiere screening and said that he thought he wouldn't be able to watch Naruto and Hinata share their BigDamnKiss at the end, but he managed it and felt like "his kids had finally grown up and flew away from home."

* ColorMotif: Naruto is associated with the color Orange, and Hinata is associated with the color Purple. ** A very down played example is Naruto and his three unnamed fangirls. They are constantly throwing themselves at him but Naruto doesn't react to their advances with anything more than bemusement. He still treats them with courtesy but it's obvious he has no romantic interest in any of them.

** Hanabi's entire kidnapping scene was this, a person is just at home and suddenly hears strange noises and she gets abducted before they could do anything to defend herself...Very terrifying, especially to those who have experienced home invasions before.

* AndIMustScream: This happens to [[spoiler:Hinata]] when she [[spoiler:gets turned into one of Toneri's puppets]]. The "I must scream" part comes from the scene where [[spoiler:she utters Naruto's name while she's slowly losing her free will]]. This means ''[[FridgeHorror she is actually]] [[NightmareFuel still conscious]]'' while the jutsu takes place. Which means that Hinata lies there in that portrait frame, thinking that [[spoiler:the world is about to get destroyed because she failed in her mission, her sister will get killed in the process, and the man she loved all her life died thinking that she betrayed him and stopped loving him]].

** [[spoiler: Averted when Hinata believes that Naruto has accepted a gift from one of his female fans and feels that he likes someone else. The gift (a scarf) was actually from his late mother Kushina ]].
* BigBad: Toneri Otsutsuki, a descendant of Kaguya.His goal is to use the moon to destroy the world, as punishment for "abusing" chakra.

* ClingyJealousGirl: While not exactly clingy, the scene at the ramen bar, Hinata is invited to eat with Naruto and Sakura and she was about to accept, only for Naruto's fan girls to show up and start fawning over him. Hinata then tells them that she is not very hungry and leaves. While she is not very vocal about it, it's clear Hinata felt jealous and insecure in that moment.It's also implied earlier when she and Sakura are talking about Naruto and his status as the village hero and the fact that dozens of girls travel from all over the world just to see him is something that makes Hinata feel insecure.
