* MagicSkirt: Despite all the running, jumping and climbing Haruka does while wearing a very short skirt, the viewer never gets subjected to any {{panty shot}}s.

to:

* MacGuffinSuperPerson: Haruka's Dragon Torque ability allows her to choose from possible futures, and the villain wants her to merge the worlds into one future.

* MoodWhiplash: There are a few, but [[spoiler: the car crash that killed Haruka and the others in Noein's timeline]] is exceptionally jarring. Probably because it was [[TruthInTelevision realistic]].

* NighInvulnerability: Of a sort. For the Dragon Knights, thanks to mechanical replacements and the bizarre way they take damage, its as if they were made of a uniform shiny substance underneath their skin. Kuina is an exception, however.
* NightmareFuelStationAttendant: Noein, oh dear god, ''Noein!''

The anime relies heavily on the ideas and theories present in quantum mechanics, most notably the idea that there are an infinite number of parallel universes, with [[WhatIf a new one created with every decision we make]]. At one point, it also references the paradox of SchrodingersCat. For added fun, watch it with someone who has [[TechnoBabble actually studied quantum physics]].

* SchrodingersCat: The Schrodinger's Cat scenario is actually an important plot point on two occasions.
** It's arguable that the entire plot can be boiled down to a schrodinger's cat. Yuu is indecisive about the future. Therefore, many possible futures exist. [[spoiler:When he takes control and decides what he's going to do, the path he did not choose disappears.]]

* BloodlessCarnage: Due to extensive bodily alterations, the Dragon Knights don't bleed actual blood when being wounded, which makes their fight scenes much less gory than they could have been.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: Haruka spends a good chunk of the series barefoot. She seems more inclined to walk around in bare feet, even when she could use shoes, and the fact that she lives in a shoes-off house and is usually inside makes it more common to see her barefooted rather than shod. There are quite a few times when she walks right out of her house without stopping to put any shoes on and simply traverses in her bare feet. Haruka of La'crymac however, took this habit a bit further and was ''always'' barefoot.

* ForeignQueasine: Although it's not technically foreign, Subverted with the meal Haruka is given when she's taken to La'Cryma for the first time. Though it ''looks'' like it would taste disgusting, she braves taking a bite and actually pretty finds it to be rather tasty.

* OpenMindedParent: While she's the kids' teacher rather than a legal guardian, Miss Yukie certainly fits the bill. When[[spoiler: Kurasu]] lies mortally injured after a battle with the forces of Shangri'La, she is completely unfazed by the fact that the person her students are helping is missing a limb, is bleeding blue sparkles and has no recognizable internal anatomy whatsoever.

** Karasu glaring at Yuu earned the honor of page picture for this trope for a very good reason.
