For her part, Mizuki doesn't see it that way, and states that he was simply doing what he could for them, even if he seemed like a JerkAss a lot of those times.

* WeCanRuleTogether: Kazuhisa makes a ''very'' convincing argument for this with "Nagisa" in episode 10. Unfortunately, if "Nagisa" was still thinking properly, he might have noticed there are three glaring flaws to Kazhusia's position. 1.) Kazuhisa had Yuji engage in severe embezzlement and election finance fraud, and Yuji did it in a way that any competent accountant can discover which is something extremely damaging to the stock holders. 2.) At the very beginning of their discussion, Kazuhisa admitted that he '''knew''' Yuji, a senior manager, was physically abusive towards his junior employees ''and did nothing about it.'' That's not just bad for the employees, which Kazuhisa claims to be protecting, but felonious. 3.) Even if the promise of great riches was true, once Kazuhisa has a massive arsenal, there is nothing that says Kazuhisa wouldn't simply steal it back, by butchering "Nagisa" and his entire family like what the Kiryu clan already did to the Saejimas.

* LoveTriangle: One forms in episode 13 between Iris, Nagisa, and Mizuki.

* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Kazuhisa, the current CEO of Kirishina ends up doing this by the end of the show, during his overzealous attempt to have A-TEC disbanded. [[spoiler:By forcing A-TEC's crew to do more with less, they manage not only to create the X-3 engine, which is vastly superior to the current X-2 design, but they do it with much less money and resources they had prior to Nagisa showing up to dismantle them. As a result, Kazuhisa inadvertently helped them to be much more resourceful, particularly after they all quit to start their own company. While the X-3 engine still belongs to the Kirishina Corporation, Nagisa says Kaito's crew could easily build another engine that could surpass the X-3 from scratch in six months without needing a lot of money, as Kaito, the designer of the X-3, was the real resource Kazuhisa should have focused on and attempted to keep.]]

* OutGambitted: Two are done in episode 4:
** Kaito has A-TEC join the company union in order to bolster support for them. Unfortunately he's then promoted to management, working directly under Nagisa. The union cuts their ties with him immediately as a result as they can only represent laborers, not the bosses.

** Used by Kaito, Kazuhisa, and Nagisa in episode 13. Kazuhisa continues to refuse to reconsider the dismantling of A-TEC despite the stellar performance they just witnessed, along with the significant cost reduction of the new X-3 engine, which was used to rescue Nagisa, even though some of the board members tell him it's probably a bad idea to lose them. [[spoiler:All of A-TEC resigns, and find interested sponsors in the engine, who also saw the live feed. Kazuhisa says the X-3 belongs to their company, but then Nagisa counters that Kaito and his team can simply build a brand new engine in six months that would rival or surpass the X-3. Kazuhisa then changes his mind, says he'll keep A-TEC, and increase their funding to 100 billion, a huge increase to what they were budgeted at before. But Nagisa rejects the offer, stating that they don't like the path he was taking the company down with branching out to military weapons.]]
* PlotBasedVoiceCancellation: Iris says something to Nagisa in episode 13, but it's inaudible. However, based on scenes that occur during and shortly after, it should be easy to conclude what she says. [[spoiler:She likely gave him a LoveConfession, then gives him TheGlomp. Mizuki then sees this, and develops a sad look on her face, before slapping herself and forcing a smile.]]

* SpannerInTheWorks: One is thrown into Nagisa's plans with Kaito at the end of episode 11, [[spoiler:when he's suddenly stabbed from behind by a crazed Yuji, who then kidnaps him.]]

** During episode 13's presentation, Kaito still intends to show off the X-3 engine despite the board's approval to dismantle A-TEC. [[spoiler:They successfully rescue Nagisa and show off how much better the X-3 is, while simultaneously costing much less to produce than the X-2 engine. Despite that, Kazuhisa still refuses to reconsider his decision to get rid of A-TEC. He is then OutGambitted by Nagisa and Kaito, as explained in that trope's description on this page.]]

* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Yuji suffers a non-fatal version of this in episode 9, after the president of the company orders him ReassignedToAntarctica for his failure to get the political party favoring management to win in the election. The president was even GenreSavvy enough to realize that it was largely because of Nagisa that Yuji shot up the ranks within the company so quickly.

Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
That\'s not what that trope means. Even if it did, they left setup for a season two and added in Iris competition at the last minute.

* OfficialCouple: Nagisa and Mizuki, they grow closer as the series progress and finally admitted their feelings to each other in episode 11.

* PyrrhicVillainy: Kazuhisa successfully [[spoiler:shuts down A-TEC despite their successful demonstration]], but in the process he [[spoiler:loses the actual prize, Kaito, to another company after he and the rest of the group simply give up on the company and resign. He gets to keep the new rocket design, but it's implied that it will be obsolete soon enough anyway now that the new A-TEC has more funding, more time, better accounting and leadership.]]
