He gets to keep the new rocket design, but it's implied that it will be obsolete soon enough anyway now that the new A-TEC has more funding, more time, better accounting and leadership, and both Nagisa and Kaito taking with them the team that successfully engineered the rocket in record time and with severe budget cuts.]]

* CryCute: Rare male example in episode 11 by Nagisa, who breaks down in front of Mizuki after revealing his motives and apologizing for allegedly betraying all of them for his own selfish gain. * WorldOfCardboardSpeech: Kaito gives one in an interview during episode 2. He apparently forgot about it, since as he watched it, the stuff he said back then roused him enough to try and salvage what he could for A-TEC.

** Both Iris and Mizuki in episode 13, after they find out that they're both in love with Nagisa. Iris throws a cup at Mizuki after the latter hugs Nagisa when the demonstration of the X-3 engine concludes. Kaito then hilariously goes back into CrazyJealousGuy mode, and also accuses Nagisa of YourCheatingHeart.

* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Yuji suffers a non-fatal version of this in episode 9, after the president of the company orders him ReassignedToAntarctica for his failure to get the political party favoring management to win in the election. The president was even clever enough to realize that it was largely because of Nagisa that Yuji shot up the ranks within the company so quickly.
* YourCheatingHeart: PlayedForLaughs in episode 13 when Kaito attempts another MySisterIsOffLimits moment towards Nagisa. He then asks when Nagisa started two-timing after seeing and hearing Iris and Mizuki argue over him.

* ConspicuousCG: The spaceships. Also used in episode 5 on the truck Iris drives.

* BigBrotherBully: To truly horrific levels on "Nagisa" from both his half-brothers. Yuji who inflicted horrific physical abuse while Kazuhisa, outright ignored him, at best. (With the implication that he would have ''encouraged'' further physical abuse from Yuji if Nagisa didn't usurp the latter on his own.)

* StrangeBedfellows: The labor union representative does this with Nagisa in episode 8, sharing some of his thoughts regarding the upcoming election, despite the management nominally supporting the opposition party. The rep then says that his job is to ensure the laborers continue to work, as the company going under would cause a loss of jobs. Nagisa also points out that should they win, they lack political experience, and would likely cause lots of problems as a result.

* DoItYourselfThemeTune: Partially. Both Sora Amamiya and Shiina Natsukawa are part of [=TrySail=] (girls trio singing the anime's OP) and anime cast, but Momo Asakura is not.

* SpannerInTheWorks: One is thrown into Nagisa's plans with Kaito at the end of episode 11, [[spoiler:when he's suddenly stabbed from behind by a crazed Yuji, who then kidnaps him.]]

* TheEngineer: Kaito is one. Although most of the A-TEC students qualify. But they make engines for race spacecrafts and have nothing to do with military.

* WellIntentionedExtremist: Nagisa finds out more about his brother's moves in attempting to disband A-TEC in episode 11 after they talk a bit. [[spoiler:Kazuhisa is planning to launch a military division within the company, citing that armed conflict will likely break out within a few years due to the company losing money from their other branches such as asteroid mining. Nagisa doesn't disagree with his proposal from a business standpoint, but still doesn't like what his brother is doing.]] Sadly, what nobody, in universe, realizes is that an impartial third party with complete knowledge of the facts could take apart Kazuhisa's arguments with ease.

* YourCheatingHeart: PlayedForLaughs in episode 13 when Kaito attempts another MySisterIsOffLimits moment towards Nagisa. He then asks when Nagisa started two-timing after hearing Iris and Mizuki argue over him.

* AssholeVictim: Yuji deserves pretty much every bad thing that happens to him throughout the show. [[spoiler: And he is killed when the manager of Cold Wood smashes him in the head with a wrench.]]

* BastardBastard: [[spoiler: Nagisa reveals to Mizuki in episode 6 that while he's the current CEO's son, his mother was the last living relative of the Shinomiya's, one of the two families who started the Kirishina Corporation; the other family being the Kiryu's. So technically he's the heir from both families, but this doesn't sit well with his half-brother, the JerkAss Yuji. This also sheds a new light on why Yuji always seemed to be angry at anything Nagisa was doing, as he detested Nagisa from the moment they met, and was also responsible for the scars on Nagisa's back]].

* TheBigDamnKiss: [[spoiler: Between Nagisa and Mizuki in episode 11.]]

* ClingyJealousGirl: Angelina shows this in episode 5, shortly after Kaito attempts MySisterIsOffLimits with Mizuki. She then does the same spiel he just did, but regarding Nagisa.

* CrazyPrepared: In episode 5, some of the boys try to sneak a peek at the girls while they're bathing. One of them hits a trigger, which then sets off some fireworks that the girls had placed earlier.

* EnemyMine: In episode 10, Angelina asks Nagisa if he can really trust the vice president. He merely states that they currently have a common enemy in his brother Kazuhisa, the CEO, and is okay with using him until they usurp his position. Angelina is also a bit shocked that Nagisa was implying he'd turn on him the moment they ousted Kazuhisa, and that saving A-TEC was really just a step towards that goal.

* FreudianExcuse: Nagisa's upbringing and past is delved on more in episode 6, and he even tells Mizuki that his half-brother Yuji doesn't like him at all, as seen by all of their interactions in previous episodes. Nagisa continually pulling off WeDoTheImpossible seems to be one subtle way he's sticking it to his brother, as he was constantly assigned to areas meant to be closed down, only for them to succeed due to his leadership.

* GoingNative: Nagisa seems to be slowly warming to A-TEC by episode 8. Angelina notices it, and says he's become more likeable, if anything. [[spoiler:A large part of it is due to A-TEC's funds mysteriously getting funneled into other projects by Kiryu, without explanation as to why. Nagisa never really liked his half-brother anyway, and was hoping to find more dirt on him so he could expose whatever plans Kiryu seemed to be planning.]]

* OutGambitted: Two are done in episode 4:
** Kaito has A-TEC join the company union in order to bolster support for them. Unfortunately he's then promoted to management, working directly under Nagisa. The union cuts their ties with him immediately as a result as they can only represent laborers, not the bosses.
