This is best exemplified during [[spoiler:his attack on Hawaii]], where he politely takes tea with and speaks courteously to Sasuke and Rei, even while [[spoiler:his ghost familiars are destroying the city, and he even fully admits that he's only keeping Sasuke and Rei around until they bore him.]]

** Quirrell and Voldemort sing, dance, pick up girls, and watch ''ShesAllThat'' in between plotting to murder Harry. Oh, and one of Voldemort's Horcruxes is [[spoiler: a ZacEfron poster]].

* In ''Fanfic/PerfectionIsOverrated'', [[spoiler:Meiko Moriya]] might be pretending to be [[MaiHime Mai]]'s friend but remains relatively courteous and polite to her after [[spoiler:Mai blows her and Bachiko's cover by realizing that they weren't friends]]. She even apologizes for being relatively familiar with someone she's just met, and goes from calling her "[[FirstNameBasis Mai]]" to calling her the more polite and formal "[[LastNameBasis Tokiha]]-[[UsefulNotes/JapaneseHonorifics san]]".

* In MandoPony's song Just Gold, this reflects Golden Freddy and Springtrap so much it's scary. They speak calmly and politely, referring to you as "the Main Attraction" and saying that "your story must be told", and offering you "eternal scrapyard immunity". Not quite so charming when you remember that these guys are trying to [[spoiler: STUFF YOU INTO AN ANIMATRONIC SUIT.]].

He will be perfectly polite to anyone he talks to, will show his blueprints when asked, offer gifts or a share of the profits to his fellow criminals, but he also intends to steal Scrooge McDuck's money and doesn't have a problem with the idea that his [[LivingBattery invention might]] [[PoweredByAForsakenChild kill someone]].
