* Patamon in ''Anime/DigimonAdventure'' is already the weakest of the Rookie-level Digimon, and unlike the rest of the Digimon he doesn't Digivolve until the very last battle of the arc [[spoiler: where he single-handedly takes out the BigBad as Angemon]]. * Rattrap in ''WesternAnimation/BeastMachines'' was the last in the group to learn how to transform. He was so desperate that he steals and uses an experimental transformation-enhancer, which of course goes terribly wrong. Eventually he masters it. However, this storyline is repeated later in the season when all his allies have useful combat abilities and he seemingly has none, and winds up striking a deal with BigBad Megatron for some ordinance.
