Deciding to update my MTG example with links,

* Averted in ''MagicTheGathering''. Common kill cards, [[http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=202486 Terror]] and [[http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=213799 Go For the Throat]], and a form of evasion known as [[http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=140168 Fear]]/[[http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=209048 Intimidate]] don't work on Artifact creatures (Robots and constructs), as they don't have a jugular, and lack the emotional capacity for fear respectively.
**That's not to say, however, that this never happens in MTG; the scope of the game and the sheer number of cards guarantee that legal plays that invoke FridgeLogic vulnerabilities happen every so often.  For example, [[http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=220240 Lightning Elemental]] can be killed by [[http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=234704 Lightning Bolt]], [[http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=12462 Bloated Toad]] can be [[http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=220265 Turned to Frog]], and [[http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=201251 Spirits]] can be [[http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=234075 Incinerated]].  Among countless others.
