Not quite sure about these two:

*In ''Series/{{Supernatural}}'':
**[[spoiler:Jack's]] mother dies giving birth to him, so he's always felt something was missing, having been able to communicate telepathically with his mother in utero but never getting to meet her face to face. While working a case, he and the brothers encounter a shapeshifter who works as a bereavement counselor. She is able to use the brothers' memories of Kelly to take her form and give [[spoiler:Jack]] a chance to "speak" to the mother he was never able to meet. [[spoiler:Jack]] is thrilled to finally be able to hug her and thank her for protecting him.
** Sam and Dean get sent back in time to save their now-deceased-parents from an attack that has been planned  in order to make sure Sam and Dean were never born. Sam, who was only six-months-old when his mother was murdered, is speechless and visibly overwhelmed by actually getting to meet and speak to her first time. However, as they have to lie about who they are, Mary is confused by the intensity of Sam's emotions. Sam is also startled by how gentle and calm his eventually militant father is. Sam describes how he was raised and John reacts in horror that a child would ever be raised that way. Without revealing who he really is, Sam is able to tell his dad he appreciates John's sacrifices and John is able to express that he would unconditionally love any kid he was lucky enough to have.
