Red Fortune - I recommended this because of Talon's talent at making a unique and very interesting world out of two insanely different genres. As each chapter opens up more and more of the world, it just gets more and more interesting. Politics take a major role, and a good deal of the Wave Arc is exposition about the poverty there and how Gato is affecting it. Each character is still remarkably in-character, but just as remarkably changed to fit the story; for example, Sasuke being the apparent expy of a disgruntled Confederate after the Union victory. I got a huge kick out of the unique traits the story has too; the first Rifleman Naruto I've ever seen, the only NarutoxTsunami pairing I've ever seen presented in a believable (and hilarious) way, and black Rock Lee. Seriously.
