At Best, Indecent. At Worst, "What The Hell"

And so continues my love/hate relationship with the "Random Anime" button.

*Sigh*

To call MM 'indecent' would be an understatement of the highest order. Don't get me wrong, that doesn't inherently make it bad, but I did keep wondering why I was watching a show which is built upon the combination Abuse Is Okay When Its Female On Male and Too Kinky To Torture. Throw in an androphob and a cross-dresser and I'm sitting here thinking "What. The. Hell".

To answer your question, yes, it is that weird. But like I said, that doesn't necessarily make it a bad show. If you can sit through it (normally that's not an issue but… see above) there is actually quite a bit of humour to the show and like most it has its moments. Its premise on the other hand… what was the author on? Or is this just projecting… probably better not to think about it.

Like I said, this show can be summed up as 'indecent'. Even as I was laughing and enjoying some of the cute moments (there are some, they're just downplayed, which is a shame in my opinion) I still felt kinda bad for watching it. A lot of it just… didn't sit right with me. And while I don't presume to speak for the majority or for the target audience, that really ruined the show for me and will probably be a massive problem for a lot of others too.

The biggest issue for me, I think, was that it switched between two different styles. Not art styles, or tones, or whatever. It went from comedy to mild romance to comedy to what-the-hell to comedy again two or three times an episode. And while I'll freely admit that there was some humour to the comedy, it was a really hit-or-miss thing. A lot of it just wasn't funny for me. The mild romance was well done, in my opinion, but ruined by its constant interruption and/or juxtaposition with comedy or just downright weirdness.

As for whether or not it was worth watching… I don't really know. It has its moments, and to its credit certain parts were well crafted, but I just couldn't get past the premise. It bothered me, and if it's going to bother you too then avoid this like the plague. If, on the other hand, you don't mind (or somehow like) the premise then you'll probably enjoy it. Just don't expect much.

You were expecting something different from a Harem Comedy where the main protagonist is a masochist? While it does sometimes get close to crossing the line, it's no worse than many I've seen.

I dropped it after one episode. Frankly I couldn't stand what I saw and there was no indication that it might get better. Terrible.

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."
