Kingdom Hearts III isn\'t supposed to be the Grand Finale. It\'s the end of the Dark Seeker Saga, with more games to come, so having loose ends isn\'t necessarily a bad thing.

Seconding what Ngamer11 said while adding an opinion of my own. This game was in development for so long, and anticipated for even longer, that it would have been impossible to fulfill every expectation. I just hope it doesn't take another 13 years for KH4.

- So having loose ends isn't necessarily a bad thing.
When you're actually the 10th game in the series (and 6 of the previous 9 having re-releases usually with more threads added) you can see how it's annoying.

Opinion for Kingdom Hearts 3
As mention at YMMV section, the game is indeed have massive flaws for the supposef Grand Finale of Xehanort Saga. Even though Nomura did a good job to tie up some of the loose end from previous games, he ended up creating more loose end than the one he tried to solve. In addition of not exploring enough the backstory a few characters that doesn't get enough characterization from II, many worlds were wasted for the potential of telling an original story instead of just retelling the story from their original franchise. Overall, the game is enjoyable and fun to play but wasn't enough to qualify as the Grand Finale of the game.
