The plot is, for the most part, okay. Not the cream of the crop, but enjoyable enough, and the premise is interesting.
But the characters... The most likable character is, by far, Millie. Who didn't get much charaterization at all, aside from "This is the love interest to our hero."
It's telling of the second most likable character place is tied between the alcoholic, neglectful and possibly abusive father and the cynical jerk who later becomes a complete asshole. But at least the worse characters actually have one.
It's an okay enough movie, over all, if you've got a boring afternoon/evening and need to kill some time. I most likely wouldn't watch it more than once, though.
Average with not-too-great characters
