Even mentioning Seltzer And Friedberg in the same sentence as this movie is an insult. You're right, Kung Pow is stupid, but there's some actual thought behind the gags, and real effort was put into its production. Seltzer And Friedberg simply grab whatever pop culture gags showed up in the last month, and think telling you what they are counts as a joke.
Besides that, I agree.
To dGalloway: Point conceeded.
Indeed, it's better than it sounds: it sounds like the worst film ever made. In reality, it doesn't even deserve THAT honour. And I wonder, since when "better than Seltzer and Friedberg" means anything worth considering? At most, it means that you may be able to watch, perhaps, half of it.
I would argue that stupid humor is unavoidable in a movie like this, given that it's a parody (an ACTUAL parody, not a Seltzer/Friedberg one) of a film that has not aged well in a genre filled with cliches, narm, and poor localizations. There's no real way to comedically exaggerate that stuff for an hour and a half without diving headlong into 'dumb on purpose'.

At first glance, Kung Pow seems like a stupid comedy along the lines of Seltzer And Friedberg. However, this film has a certain charm to it. It's actually pretty funny. Stupid funny, but funny nonetheless. Usually So Bad Its Good doesn't work for comedies (with the exception of So Unfunny Its Funny, and that's usually intentional), but this movie is an exception. Sometimes, stupid funny is just what we need (though this doesn't excuse Seltzer And Friedberg). Check it out, but don't expect to walk away thinking your I.Q. has increased.
Edit#1: Okay, I guess even slightly comparing any bit of this movie to Seltzer And Friedberg is too negative.
