Would it be best to separate the examples by gender, a la [1]? Though there aren't a ton of male examples, it still makes for easier navigating.

I don't think so. Yandere is misused. After it's cleaned up I don't know if they'd be any male examples left.

While I understand Gopher being here, why is Giriko on the list? Granted his Villainous Breakdown consists of him trying to rape Maka and kill both her and Soul, his actions are not out of jealousy as Gopher's were.
Shion from Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and Yuka from Munou no Hana are missing from the list.
