Did clay really wanted to shatter Orel’s innocence to prove his point of view? I thought the reason he treated Orel the way he did was because he equated love and attention with physical and emotional harm, and only became aware of how toxic he was till the episode “Sacrifice” with the line “poisoning the ones you love through your weaknesses” It didn’t cross my mind that he was at least not consciously trying to mold Orel into a bad person, yet that’s what the majority of people seem to conclude here on Tv tropes. What do you think?

For clay should we add Freudian excuse is no excuse to his character because from what we saw despite clay’s past the abuse he gave Orel was worse and while Orel grew up to have a happy life clay refused to learn from his mistakes and his goal to make Orel like him fails.
For Cecil Creepler should we add knight of Cerberus because while Moral Orel isn’t a light hearted series Cecil’s actions are played serious realistic and incredibly dark even by the standards of the series.
