Did clay really wanted to shatter Orel’s innocence to prove his point of view? I thought the reason he treated Orel the way he did was because he equated love and attention with physical and emotional harm, and only became aware of how toxic he was till the episode “Sacrifice” with the line “poisoning the ones you love through your weaknesses” It didn’t cross my mind that he was consciously trying to mold Orel into a bad person, yet that’s what the majority of people seem to conclude here on Tv tropes. What do you think?

Yeah, I\'m certain only a \'\'very\'\' uncritical view of this series would ever call it a fantasy land for women.

Shield Hero only barely fits the point of the trope - A series with a female protagonist or protagonists - if you fluff up the slave girlfriend\\\'s role, because the actual protagonist is a man.
