I think the gist of the sentiment re: Eiki's lack of reserve is "Well, he's culturally a westerner", rather than anything specifically American, though. Personally, I'd go with No Sense of Personal Space by Japanese standards.
Random question: Do we know if the stories are written by different people? Because Depending on the Writer is the only way I can see that would explain the weird difference in the protagonist's personality in Kirisawa's and Hanai's routes.
Hide / Show RepliesI honestly do not have the faintest idea. It wouldn't surprise me, given that they definitely use more than one artist on at least some of their games (see the distinct difference in art style between Mei Ling and the main cast in KbtBB) but lacking readily accessible credits I don't know how we'd be able to tell for sure about writers.
Agreed. The contrast was just so blatantly obvious this time around that I figured I might as well ask.
Moving along!
I'm debating whether or not the trope Eagle Land would apply to Eiki. A lot of the protagonists views on Eiki being so friendly and touchy are centered around, "Well he was raised in America." At least in the free first chapter, anyway.
