Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I don't think it's such a good idea to change every mention of Red's friend in the Transistor to 'Red's fiance/husband', for a few reasons: first, Supergiant made a big deal out of the player working out their relationship on their own, and it's not made immediately obvious (so at the very least it should be spoilered); second, it's certainly implied but not made explicit enough to consider completely canon (the reason given is because her ring matches his mark, but 'his' mark is on her dress too, so it could just be a design thing); and third, it's rather unwieldy compared to 'Red's friend'. Thoughts?
Hide / Show RepliesRed's friend. We don't exactly get to learn who he is even in the credits and only then is it implied what they were. There was no mention of marriage and all Supergiant has given us is that he's a "friend." Up to you to interpret it.
Agreed. I've changed every use of the phrase "Red's fiance/husband" back to "Red's friend" on the main page and the characters page.
Edited by 124.176.44.87Well during the credits it shows that Red was most probably a couple with the Transistor/Blue and possibly lived with each other since there was picture of Red in casual, writing a song while a semi-topless Blue gives her ahot drink. Also it is canon that Blue has feelings for Red that Icant say since I'm doing this on a PS 4 and Don't know how to mark spoilers
Edited by 112.204.169.208I thought it was because the ring is worn on her left hand, typical for an engagement/wedding ring, not because it matched his? Triangles are all over the place in the game's art, after all.
"Friend" isn't strong enough, but I guess "fiance/husband" isn't immediately obvious/would be spoilery, so "friend" will have to do.

"A friendly Fetch named Luna" - is this a reference/shout-out to Sailor Moon?
Hide / Show RepliesThis Luna doesn't talk and is a heavily stylized combat-ready dog instead of an otherwise normal-looking talking cat, so I think that's a pretty big stretch without some Word of God.
If anyone is going to add anything regarding OVC terminals keep this in mind: some information you get will change according to your reply choice. For example when you choose between Red and one other artist for next show at Empty Set, if you choose Red the poll result will tell you that they aren't far in popularity. But if you choose the other, Red will have overwhelming votes. I think that also applies to Junction Jan's OVC too.
I'm not sure what to make of Royce. He's too lucid to be a Cloudcuckoolander, and has too much presence of mind to be an Absent-minded Professor. Still, the way he talks, and the way he describes the process limiters indicate he's not all there in the head.
Hide / Show RepliesHis Limiter descriptions are likely randomly jotted notes in a period of excitement and confusion. The Process are not exactly the most familiar thing to study. If you look at most any scientists notes, you'll find most of them are a confused, jumbled mess written as fast as their hand could keep up with their brain.
That, or the more formal versions have been corrupted and all we have are the rough jumbled drafts. Notice how all of it is in lower case and the formatting is a tad awkward.
So, what do you guys think: should tropes relating to the nature and effects of abilities and their upgrades go here or on the Characters page?
Hide / Show RepliesHere. The Characters ability should purely be about the descriptions of the characters's background, meeting with the Camerata, their disappearance, and any other quirks. The main page would be better for a gameplay mechanic that has little to do with the lore.
- Hide Your Lesbians: Sybil's infatuation with Red is only explicitly stated in her Trace profile (and even then rather obliquely) and Grant and Asher are not explicitly confirmed as a couple at all. Red and The Man in the Transistor, on the other hand, get an "I love you" and a romantic reunion within the Transistor.
- I have removed this, because there is an argument can be made that the developers were just being subtle. As the Main Page is for guaranteed tropes, and not interpretations, I have moved it to the YMMV tab.
