  • Real Is Brown: TFE had predominantly sandstone palette, even if it was set in Egypt.

I didn't recall TFE as having the limited palette of a Real Is Brown game, so I went back and checked. In the first level and a half, I encountered brilliant blues (the sky, a pool of water), saturated greens (the leaves on a few palm trees; I recall some of the later levels having far more plant life), and saturated reds (various enemies).

The problem is that it isn't really monotone, so much as heavily muted - unless you set the color options to "Vivid", which you absolutely should. It takes the game from ho-hum to ho-ho-ho what have we here!
