War on Terror:

The entry near the bottom is somewhat derisive of the ultimate fate of soldiers fighting in modern military conflicts. Now, I understand the politics of are hotly debated but this entry seems to be in violation of cautious editing.

"Allied movies about WWII (Soviet and American, generally) are usually extremely idealistic - despite the Downer Ending they often have. The idealism is reinforced by the fact that though people suffered hardships and many died, they ultimately contributed to winning the war and saved their country and other people while becoming heroes forever. The more corny offerings sometimes show the dead heroes entering Heaven and smiling at the audience just before they pass through the Pearly Gates. Of course, given the Unfortunate Implications of another, far more contemporary group of warriors assuming they'll be similarly rewarded after falling in battle (assuming you could call their actions "battles"), scenes of this kind might be more than a little queasy for 21st-century audiences."

Rather than implying an alternate interpretation, this seems to come down hard on all of those fighting in the War on Terror. I would suggest this be altered to be a little more ambiguous.

It's a general example as well, which violates the How to Write an Example guideline Keep it an example. Pull that altogether.

So could I change or delete the "not example" in some way and it will be permitted?
