So while watching a friend play, it occurred to me that Aperture Science is pretty much what happens when Bloody Stupid Johnson is given a budget, a permanent staff, and modern technology. I'm wondering if anyone else noticed this, and if Cave Johnson's name is a shout out.

I don't think so. It's too common a name. I like the observation though.
