Peter Kingdom speaks Norwegian. Can you be surprised at that? The nearby University of East Anglia doesn't just have a law school. it also has a School of Scandinavian Language and Culture. This covers the lot from Icelandic to Finnish. When I was an undergrad there in the middle '80's, it was perfectly possible to major in Law with a minor in Scandinavian Language of choice. So Peter maybe got a year abroad in Trondheim or Narvjik?
