The liberation of a powerful demon in the end of Dawn of War could be averted if the Eldar bothered to learn phrases on High Gothic significantly different from "Stupid mon-keigh, you don't know what you're doing!"
Also in the sequel. True, the Tyranids are a huge threat to the sector, but perhaps it would've been a good idea to actually warn us humans about it rather than, say, raiding our planets and manipulating Ork uprisings. What's Eldar for "Stupid pointy-eared bastards, you don't know what you're doing!"?
Choosing insulting everyone else over anything sensible is perfectly in character for the Eldar, given their collective pathological narcissism that could be argued as the root of every major fan-shitting in 40k history. Which actually goes against the trope description.
Justifying Edit, but it may have a point (never played 40K myself so I can't judge), someone please look into this. Thanks.
