The anime is deeply, deeply disappointing. I expected it to be an actual mindscrew, especially after the manga and all the buildup that this article gave it, but in actuality it's cheaply animated, slow-paced, and - most unforgivably - boring. The last 2-3 episodes are alright, but don't begin to make up for the three hours of plodding crap that is the majority of the series. :
