Just in case it may cause a bit of amusement, as I was setting up the links to this page, I tried to vary each one to make it appropriate on its particular page. Thus, on I Love To Singa it became Through A Face Full Of Feathers, on My Life As A Teenage Robot Through A Face Full Of Metal, and so on. However, something told me that on the Pinocchio page, Through A Face Full Of Wood would not be appropriate.

My personal theory is that any creature's skin that can do this is the color of their 'fur', and their actual fur is at least partially made up of lots and lots of thin, long fiber optic cables.
