I believe that the line "the walrus was Paul" refers not to the writer or singer of "I am the Walrus" (the song) but rather to the scene containing the song in the film "Magical Mystery Tour," during which all of the Beatles are wearing costumes that obscure their faces. (But in the film, it was actually John, not Paul, in the walrus costume.)
It looks like Kate Bush has a penchant for this occasionally, especially on the album The Dreaming and the music videos for its singles. Sat In Your Lap and Leave it Open are prime examples IMO. While she did explain their general meanings and even specific parts of them, there are still portions that we can only guess what they mean and how they tie into all this. Also, in "Pi" from Aerial, the 23 digits she skipped.
Edited by iLikeTheUDKRegarding my deletion of the Dark Seed example, I feel like it'd go better in Shrug of God; Benson's answer wasn't really trolling or trying to confound explanation, exactly, he just didn't really write it with a correct answer in mind and meant for the player to come up with their own answer.
What? No mention of the Regular Show?
I'm alive and less annoying than ever before. And today, September 9, this page was attack by a troll, for some mysterious reason. Cheers to him/her/it, now, who would make the page turn back to normal, please?
