" For another, it's easier for children to find and use an unattended gun than most other types of weapon."

Lolwut? A kitchen full of knives, a toolshed filled with crowbars, machetes, bug and plant poisons, a collection of sport equipment including baseball bats and golf clubs, and a gun is the easiest to find?

Related, I think it is easier for a child to kill accidentally with a gun than a knife but knives are far more common and still easy to do damage with.
