The title heading of this trope currently reads "Shoot Everythingthat Moves", and should in all likelihood be edited to its intended form "Shoot Everything that Moves". If anyone has the ability to fix it (as I lack, or lack knowledge of), it would be appreciated to do so.

You followed a link that says Shoot Everythingthat Moves. If you click on Shoot Everything That Moves. It's The Problem with Pen Island.

For example, try clicking this: Shoo Tev Eryt Hingth Atmove S.

Please feel free to fix the link that led you to the incorrect header.

Geneva Convention

Doesn't this pretty much violate the Geneva Convention on taking prisoners? Or am I misunderstanding the trope? Just wondered if that should be mentioned.

That can get us deep into the woods, but as I understand it, the Geneva Convention does not require one to take prisoners under all circumstances—e.g. if you're outnumbered and behind enemy lines, there's no way you can take a prisoner safely. It only requires that if you accept a surrender, the prisoner be treated well.
