backsteps don't work that way, and the series was rather consistent regarding internal logic. it could still start back up with Donovan replacing parker, though...
It would be awesome if this got a new chance and the first episode started with Parker having chained together enough step backs to go and prevent 9/11 from happening. It would probably get some pretty damned high ratings in the states, just for showing the hero punch out the terrorists and land the plane safely.
